Default Is it wrong...

for me to be slightly happy that my son has been sick for 2 days, thus my having to stay home too? I have gotten to start my Christmas cards, but can't get out to Michael's.

Well, I don't think you are really happy he is sick, you are happy to have stampin' time. I'm with you....I have the Wednesday off before Thanksgiving but my son has school 1/2 day so my two year old is going to daycare for the 1/2 day to give me a much needed break and I have to admit, I'm feeling pretty giddy inside about it too!!! Can't wait...so I know what you mean.

That is so funny! It happened to me last year and I felt guilty for thinking it! The perfect amount of "sickness" is when they're just enough under the weather to take a nap but not so sick that you're worried and have to spend 2 hours in the doctor's office!

I hate to say this but I enjoy it too when one of my kids is home "slightly" sick. It forces me to slow down and it is wonderful, unexpected one on one time for me and my child. We curl up on the couch and watch a movie together or spend an hour or two playing games and I have an excuse for spoiling them rotten for that day. Only have had one home sick so far this year and she made an amazing recovery after the carpool left. I still spoiled her anyways. We had fun plus she loves to stamp so it gave me an excuse to also. Enjoy your day home. Ann
