Default Xyron

I overheard at a stampin thing I was at recently
that you could run ribbon through a Xyron (she said hers was one of those ones shaped like a X - I'm new to Xyron, maybe they all are)
and it would make it stick on one side to adhere to your cards.

Has anyone every done this? Does it work?

It also works great with any little tiny stamped letters that you cut out and adhere!!!

It works awesome I like to run my ribbon through it, then adhere it to ribbon or twill that is wider.

Yes! Absolutely! I have been using a little Xyron for this for months now and love it. I like to use it when I can't run the ribbon all the way around the card for whatever reason. It is especially great for really narrow ribbon that is hard to stick down with glue dots or adhesive -- you can fit several pieces through at once and that really saves on the adhesive! I have to say that I haven't always had the best luck with organdy ribbon though -- sometimes it feels a little sticky if the ribbon is a really open weave.

I love my Xyron - I have it in three different sizes for different things. It's a piece of cake to run ribbon or lace through the machine. Plus, you can run vellum through and not have those horrible glue marks showing through!

I have only this little one and haven't used it much. I'll have to try the ribbon through it. I have been using to make "stickers" out of these little onsies I cut out and am using on my baby thank you notes. Works great!!

Oh gosh I won my xyron at a Christmas Stamp a Stack and hadn't used it for 2 years, just finally did it this year. Hope changing the tape is not difficult. For what I have used it for, I do love it.

I have the little X (150 sticker maker). I love it. I only use the permanent adhesive in it as the removable doesn't stick well and leaves a gummy surface on things. I use it on lots of my cards, especially if I am doing something where I need the ribbon to lay flat. It works well with organdy ribbon and you can't see it.
