Default Yikes--need ideas

I need to come up with some simple card ideas that a group of women can make to send to shut ins. They will make the cards after a church womens brunch. There will be all ages of women there, different degrees of talent and lots of ladies that like to do their own things and not really follow the directions. I have done things like paper layering in the past and used a limited number of stamps. I would like to come up with a new easy idea. So I will take any idea suggestions as well as stamp set ideas.

shaving cream backgrounds? Also I was thinking of like pearl ex, over the lovely as a tree set. Using Pearl ex in a spray for background paper?

I would use something with a floral motif. While I love Lovely as a Tree, the trees in the main image are bare (ie. dead looking) and I don't think that's a good message to send to shut-ins.

Roses in Winter or Terrific Tulips would be a good sets, since there's no detail work, just ink and stamp.

Why not use paper tearing, it's easy and can be whatever the ladies want.

I would think the one sheet wonder might be good for this if you keep it simple and make the CS at home before you go. Might be worth a try!

thanks for all the great ideas--keep em coming. I usually try to find a solid stamp so they dont have to color. Too much for some of them.... I like the background ideas!! Has anyone done the saranwrap/color chalk ink background? Good idea???

Has anyone ever done the technique with saran wrap and chalk inks?

Have you tried using the Simply Scrappin' sets? You can get 40-60 cards out of one set plus a pack of white paper. I have been using the Island Blossoms hostess set and have 18 cards so far with well over half the paper & tags left over. Just bring your greeting stamps and embellishments.

I do after school stamping with middle school students. Some have stamped before and some are new. Some have great artistic abilities, some have limited motor skills. ALL of them want to do their own thing! LOL!

I've tried different ways of doing group stamping. What seems to work the best is this. I create stations of stamping. Each station gets some stamps ( images and sentiments and sometimes background stamps), cardstock, ink, and embellishments. Ink pads can't change stations in order for it to work, so careful planning is required. I create samples for each station with the samples being different degrees of difficulty. They can make an exact duplicate of mine, or create their own design. They travel from station to station at their own pace. I circulate to answer questions and to help.

Hope this helped. Please PM for any questions.
