Oh, hurray---Several of us live in NE Phx--we'll come---Now only one problem, some of us giggle and laugh a lot! Can you put up with it?? Will we do the shoe box thing ? I'll keep in touch.
Hi, Geri here from Tucson. I would love to come in July or Aug or first part of Sept. Going to Europe Sept 15 to Oct 6th or so. Oh my sister would also come too. Let me know. Geri
Amanda, is this only for Arizona girls. I would love to come and join you. I am already committed to one shoebox swap in June in Killeen, TX, but have a very good friend who lives in Phoenix and this would give me an opportunity to see her and also come to your shoebox swap as well. Do you have any dates planned. Let me know. I would love to be a part of this swap. Thanks a bunch.

Sandy, really anyone is welcome to come. We are in the planning phase. I am going to work on finding a location in the next two weeks, and then work on registration etc. I am excited.
AZShann (Shannon) did you find out any info about the venue you were going to ask about? Keep in touch with me on that. It seems that there are a lot interested (aka more than my house can hold) so we may have to go with something like that.
Amanda, have you thought of checking at some of the area hotels to possibly rent one of their rooms. I went to the one in Dallas last October and Kimberly rented a hall to the tune of $15.00 per person and that covered the room rent, and food, snacks and drinks for the entire day. Becky who is working on having one in Killeen in June is renting a meeting room or something of that nature at one of the hotels in her town. That one is $35.00 a person and includes lunch, snacks and drinks. If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know.

That was the venue I was thinking about. I will check with my friend who is a chef at a hotel downtown Phx. I'll see if he can pull some strings for a room (not a banquet room of course). I'll check with him this weekend and see what he thinks.
There are way too many people interested then can fit in my house. When I went to a crop in CA, we paid $50 and that included a hotel room (6 of us to a room), snacks, and the room rental where the crop was held.
There are a few others that are in Casa Grande as well that I don't think have been on this thread.
I'll probably talk a lot into coming...at least for one of the days if we do it for more than one.
I also have a Sam's Club and Costco memberships so we can get snacks and food for many and it won't cost much.

I have a friend that attends all our SU get-togethers, make-and-takes, camps, etc., that lives in Anthem. I'll talk her into coming also if I can. She's awesome. She uses SU as an outlet to release stress from her job. She'd probably love the opportunity to take time away.

Hi I'm in Phoenix area (Youngtown actually close to Surprise). I will come to a get together and I have a friend from my stamp club who I know would go too..
Let me know when and I'm there!
I will contact my friend in Phoenix and see if she knows of any place that we could do this at. She works for an airline and can possibly get something. I will let you know as soon as I talk to her (probably this weekend).

I didn't. I will contact him tomorrow. I haven't even chatted with anyone or looked in the gallery like I normally do. I have been super busy lately. I'll ask him soon. I know I have about 5 people that want to come.
Hi, I just stumbled onto this thread. I'm moving from Kansas to Phoenix in early June. I'm actually going down there this Tuesday to find an apartment. We're looking in the phx area around St. Joseph's medical center since that's where I'll be working (I don't know if that's considered south, east, etc...). If I can make it I'd love to come just to have some stampin' buddies. I only know one person there right now and my DH doesn't stamp  (silly man!)...
I have no idea what my work schedule will be in july and aug but I'd love to think I might have plans!
Hi all.........I'm in Tucson. Not sure if I could make it tho. Would definitely depend on the dates, time of year, what's going on w/the family, etc.
BUT......I will keep subscribed to this thread.
Very cool to see so many Zonie gals on here.
I'm not originally from here, but came to Tucson for grad school.
14 years later..............still here! LOL
Glad to "meet" you all.
cheers,
Stacy

I'm in phoenix now and my DH and I put a deposit down on an apartment! I'm scared and excited! I'd love to get together and stamp! I'm moving out June 9th....

Welcome to the Valley. My niece is a nurse at St. Joe's and my sister's doc has his office there.
OK, I would be interested in attending if at all possible with my work schedule! I'm in Safford, AZ (don't expect anyone to know where that's at, but I'm 3 hours from Phoenix and 2 hours from Tucson). This will be so fun (but someone will have to explain a shoebox swap to me)!
