Wow!! You girls sure know how to put on the pressure!! LOL!!
I'll bring the pb fritos next week. I would have responded to all the chatter sooner, but I spent yesterday and today at the International Quilt Festival in Chicago. Just got home! Lots of fun and even found something to use on my cards there!!

YAY!!!!! I was really worried you didn't get the memo. ;)
I spent several hours working on my card tonight - have part of the kits together, but am having issues with one part. Just am not "feeling it." So I will continue to play until its just right. Don't want to win the prize for Tackiest Card.
Less than a week, ladies!! Is everybody ready?? I still need to tweak my card, and finish my kits, and type directions, and make my nametag, and get more door prizes, and get the rest of the food, and remember to pick up the key on Wed. or Thurs. and....
looks like I better just get off the computer and get to work!!
See ya soon - DRIVE SAFE!!!
Linda Wells is unable to make it Saturday, as she is having surgery tomorrow, so please keep her in your thoughts & prayers. Have a great night & see you soon.
Mmmmmmm. My mouth is watering already, Deb!! Please bring you recipe - I know you shared it once already - but who knows where I put that.
My kits are done, but I still need a cute nametag. I usually make mine look like my card. Planned to set up the church today, but it is being used for a luncheon tomorrow, so I have to wait.:(
Bought a few door prizes today, and going to Hobby Lobby for more tomorrow. I can't wait for Saturday. Drive safe ladies!!
Got a call earlier from Sherry that (wellstamping) Linda Well's surgery went well (no pun intended) yesterday - so much so, that she is going to ask her Dr. tomorrow if she can come to the swap afterall!!
Ok Jeanette
I love your card I wish my card was even designed! I have changed my mind 400 times this week about which set to use. So after I go and do my Lia Sophia show I will be up all hours tonight designing and cutting my card! Lucky me huh? Guess procrastination doesnt pay does it?! See you ladies in the morning!

Crystal, you did your card the night before the last shoebox swap I went to - and it was GORGEOUS!!! I have confidence that you'll do well this time, too. But I hope it goes together quickly so you can get some sleep tonight.
Crystal, you crack me up!! I can't imagine waiting until now. Oh, crap!! I forgot to make my nametag.:confused: Guess I am not headed to bed yet.
Rhonda and I just left the church - have most of the stuff ready to go. I was in Davenport today for a couple appts. and in between went Door Prize shopping!! It is just way too much fun spending other people's money!! I am happy to say that everyone in attendance will take home at least 2 things - and also have a chance at our grand prize!! Which Sherry, Rhonda and I would LOVE to have ourselves, but will not be included in the drawings. So your odds are even better!!
Sleep tight - drive safe - and see ya at 9 am!!
Kathy
p.s. Park around the back side of the church.
If you should find yourselves lost, call my cell 563-219-2767

I forgot to make a nametag, too............ so I'm using the one I used at the last shoebox swap I attended. It won't match my cards, but I'm too tired to make a new one.

See you tomorrow!
I know - I am sort of thinking the same thing. I really need to get ready for bed. See ya in the morning.
Kathy
Just want to thank everyone for coming - hope you had as much fun as I did. Just realized I forgot a few things - I had wanted to thank everyone that brought a door prize or food, while you were still there....but forgot.
I also wanted to get a group picture of us to post here....but forgot.
There WILL be a next time - maybe in the fall. Too early to think about it, though. We had 18 and kept plenty busy, so I think in the future we will open it up to no more than 20. Otherwise the day just gets too long, and some people struggle to finish everything in time.
Anyway, thanks for coming. Who's having the next one?????
Kathy
Thank you so much for a fun FUN day! It was fantastic meeting everyone... and seeing the wonderful cards y'all designed. Each and every one of them was a delight to create.
I will look forward to the next opportunity to gather together for a Shoebox Swap.
Oh, ya! How I could miss the CARDS!! I LOVED them all. From the easy ones to the beautiful one with the beads and wire that was a bit more challenging. Everytime I have been to a swap I have learned at least one new technique, and learned to use some new tools. So thanks everyone for that!!
Kathy
p.s. Hope the Scrapaganza Shopping Girls found their way okay!!
Hi everyone
I wanted to give a big round of applause to Kathy, Rhonda and Sherry for hosting such an awesome swap! Thanks for all the door prizes they were greatly appreciated. The cards were once again awesome. Cant wait to see the next go-round of cards!! I will probably hold the next one but will need to find a new place. Michelle and I found our way ok !! Ate Hooters and headed home! Tired and dragging time for bed! See all you ladies in the fall!!!!!

Mandy, Kelly and I had a wonderful time! The cards were great and we all had a different favorite. I think we are all ready for another fun swap....we love getting away for the day.
However, Grandpa did not have as good a day as we did....the little guy locked him out of the house and he couldn't get him to let him in. Bryce was in the house by himself for 1 hour and 15 minutes...Grandpa was frantically trying to find a neighbor with a ladder. He finally found one and broke in to the 2nd story scrapbooking room...Luckily I had left a window open.
Needless to say, the little guy got in big trouble. He's just too smart for a 2 year old!

Am guessing if Grandma was home, this would not have happened. Hope he didn't TRASH your scrap room breaking in!!;)
Thanks for letting me come. I really enjoyed getting to meet everyone and learning a lot more about card making. It was a great time, I will want to do this again, so please let me know if you are having another one.
Deb, my daughter locked me out of the house when she was just over 2 years old. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get ahold of my husband to come home and let me in. Sarah was scared and crying for me, but she never did it again.
Thanks again everyone, I loved the cards and new techniques that I learned.
I'm not sure if any of you will see this since it's an old post but here's trying...Jane (jlmhen) and I are going to Convention are any of you attending this year. I have hated to miss your get togethers. We had so much fun at the first swap in March 08, then I went and had another baby and wans't able to make it to any of the other events. Jane & I were just talking about the PB Fritos last week too! If you are going to be in SLC it would be fun to say hi!
Hi, Tracy. I don't think I will be at the convention, as I am not even sure when it is. But I already have 3 trips THIS month, and can't possibly do another. Would love to meet others, though. Hopefully you can make the next swap. I know Linda Wells & her group are trying to plan something, but haven't heard lately when or where.
