**CANCLED** Another Everett Wash. Show box Swap and Potluck
This event is CANCLED, due to a low volume of Stampers. I will look at another date and plan further ahead. If this has directly impacted your Demonstrator business please accept my appologies, it is in hope that you will be able to fill this date with the notice I have given. :O)
So......
My Mom lives in a Condo with a Canbana, there is a Full Kitchen we can use. Lets have a small shoe box swap/lunch potluck. This event is In the Everett Washinton area, near I~5. I will email you directions unless you attended the last one you know where it is. :O)
This will be a FULL card Swap or Project Open products.
Details:
The Date will be April 29th (Saturday) 10am to no later than 5pm
SIGN UP DEAD LINE IS: April 20th I will need you to bring me your REQUIRED refundable Deposit on the day of the event. No One will be able to sign up after this deadline as those who have choosen to partake in this event will need to know how many projects to cut for.
Every one will bring a Shoe Box style swap,(if you dont know what a shoebox swap is then please ask so you too can join in the fun!) it must be 2 layers or more and at least 1 embellishment of some sort.. If its needed to make your swap you must bring it.... IE: like a heat gun. Lable all your items so we know who they belong to. Please also bring a placemat to stamp on as we dont want to get ink on the tables or counter tops. Make it a part of your swap kit. Please bring your stampin scrub and mist to clean your stamps when the project is finished.
Every one is REQUIRED to pay $20.00 twards the $150.00 Deposit on the Cabana. (The deposit is to insure no damage like a stamp pad inking up the carpet... or the embossing gun melting something....It also needs to be as clean as it was when we made the reservation) All money will be refunded to you when "We as a Group have throughly cleaned and restored the Cabana to its original shape) This didnt take us long last time.
Potluck Lunch:
This does not need to be a big effort. But it means more than chips and dips. Be fair on the amount you spend. (Two or more friends can go in on a more expensive thing to eat) I think Bottled water or beverages would be best for less spillage on our stamping tables and the carpet what do you think? Bring your own beverages
If those of you who join want to have a gift exchange let me know. If everyone bring's something worth a $10.00 value, and everyone goes home with a door prize. Please wrap. or descise yoru gift.
This gift does not ahve to be stamping related but does need to be something you would enjoy taking home. We will play steal the gift game. I will explain more the day of the event. It was fun last time even with our small group we had.
There will be a basket to donate or RAK a full card to my Mother, who set this up for us. She likes Cats, and is a Red Hatter if that helps. (its the least we can do for a FREE event)
I have children and love them, but this will be a Mommy free day.

Will you let two "newbies" come? I have done this for about 6 months and am getting a friend interested too. I think I understand what a shoe box swap is. My only question is does everything need to be stampin up. I have inks and stamps. But I don't have paper or embellishments from SU. Please let me know.
A shoebox swap is where you design a card/project and bring enough materials for each person at the swap to do the project. You bring all items needed to make your project (ink, paper, ribbon, hole punch, heat gun, whatever).
I have to find where I put my boys' baseball schedule to see if I can make it. This is the same weekend as the big Mukilteo garage sale but I'm not sure I'll be participating in that this year.
Thank you. Neat idea and less intimidating than I thought (I thought everyone would be swapping unlimited amounts of cards with eachother). I will see if I can attend.
Everyone is welcome at the shoe box swap! Its more about friends and fellowship and learning from each other.
Let me know what you are going to decide on a food to bring and I will edit you in after I come home from work today!!
For the Shoebox swap, does everything need to be from Stampin Up or can we mix?
Everything does not need to be from SU. Remember these are FULL cards that we can use or give away. I can only speak for myself but as a Demo thats all I have is SU items... so mine will be all SU.
I'll get a hold of Maryhelen and see if I can get her to make some of those special sandwiches you liked!
Actually like Both the sandwiches and the lil mini toast things ( LOVED those) the sandwiches prolly cost more to make so lets not have her make those again.
BTW my Mom LOVED the Red Hat Card you RAK'd her! Thank you!
I would love to join but I can't on this date but may I be inivte to any others you do.
Thanks
