Several of you asked for the recipe of the cheese log I made for the swap. Here it is:
Pesto, Sun Dried Tomato, Cheese Log
1 lb. (2 pkgs) cream cheese
1 tsp thyme
2 cloves diced garlic
 cup sun dried tomatoes (chopped)
 cup pesto
Provolone cheese (at least 12 slices)
Line a 9 x 5 loaf pan with Saran Wrap. Line pan with slices of softened provolone cheese (including sides if pan) making sure there are no holes. Mix softened cream cheese, thyme, and garlic together in a bowl. Spread 1/3 cream cheese mixture in bottom of pan. Next , layer in sun dried tomatoes. Next, layer 1/3 cream cheese mixture. Next, layer pesto. Next, layer the remaining cream cheese mixture. Fold edges of provolone cheese onto top of loaf. Refrigerate overnight. Turn out upside down onto a serving plate and serve with crackers.
Okay, boys and girls...wait...no boys here...never mind.....
Anyway, some very sweet women asked me very nicely to look into hosting a Shoebox Swap in Dallas this year. My travel companions (Tina and Carolyn) put on our thinking caps and brainstormed all the way back to Dallas today and we're going to try to get something pulled together.
I PM'd Emily to find out when, or if, she's hosting the Arlington Swap anytime soon and I'll let you know what she says when I hear back from her. I don't really want to encroach on her event because I want to make sure that we get a full group. I'm looking at late April or mid May as the time frame.
Once all the deets are formed, I'll start a new thread, so keep an eye out, okay?
PM if you would like to have a head's up and would love to come see us NTX gals!

Thank you, Christy, for planning and executing this fabulous day of stamping fun! You amaze me!! The setting was perfect and it was clear that your immense amount of preparation resulted in a well-organized, smoothly run event.
Although I didn't get to stamp with each one there, I had a delightful time stamping and visiting with so many stamp-crazed individuals like myself!
I hope everyone will upload their card and link it here so all can see the amazing projects we got to create!! Beautiful, beautiful work, ladies!! Thanks to each and every one for your wonderful designs!!
I was wondering if anyone had an extra shoebox that they noticed.
Mine is nowhere to be found. I didn't bring it into the house on Saturday. I called ScrappieLynn and she looked in her car and didn't find it.
It's a clear shoebox with a blue lid. My VersaColor ink pad has my name on the bottom of it. And the shoebox has sheets of address labels on the bottom of the box. So you'd definitely know where to send it.
I live in Cedar Park. I just need to know where it is and I will gladly mail a check or send $ paypal to get the items back. You can keep the shoebox and the paper if you have it and just send the stamp(it's the man and woman under the umbrella), Close to my Heart acrylic block, and Versacolor Black ink pad.
I've checked with the other ladies at my table and they don't have it. Christy1807 doesn't have it. And ScrappieLynn doesn't have it.
This was my first shoebox swap and am a newbie. All you ladies were so nice on Saturday. Please check for me. I'd really appreciate it.

There is going to be a Scrapbook Convention in Arlington in June - any chance of hooking it up with that weekend??!? I know I'm going to the convention and would love to hook up with you NTex ladies again... just a thought.
I thought of each of you yesterday. I hope you all had a ton of fun. I'm sorry I missed it, but dh's health right now is more important. Hopefully, I will be at the next one. BTW, my dh's heart cath went well. He has four days of testing the beginning of February before the doctor will make the decision to implant the mechanical heart.
I can't wait to see all the cards posted. I have already heard that they were all fabulous.
Sandy, we missed you. Your card was really cute!! Glad to hear the heart cath went well. We were all thinking about you.
Christy- just wanted to say thank you for all that you did. I truly had an amazing time both on Friday and Saturday. Please thank your family for offering up their home and helping you out with this event. Also thank your dad for giving up his "man-cave" for us women to take over. And thanks to all the ladies for the great conversations. Until the next one!!

Be still my beating heart, I think I'd die from all that stamping pleasure. . .;)
Thank you so much Christy for all of your hard work on this event. It was great to see some familiar faces and meet some new SCSers down at Stamp Antonio this weekend. I hear that some of you are coming up here on the 21st of Feb. WOHOO! Rae Anne will be there :P... and so will I, of course!
Y'alls creations are AWESOME! Sounds like it was a blast!

I just spoke with Emily via PM and she is NOT going to be hosting a Shoebox Swap in Arlington this year. Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....guess what that means??????
Yup! You guessed it! There WILL be a Shoebox Swap in the Dallas area this year! Woohoo! I'm looking into several venue locations and will post when dates/venues have been solidified...
As for coordinating with the Scrapbook Convention, give me the deets on it and I'll check on it. Also, would it conflict with an all day swap?

I'm thinking more like the weekend of May 16 or May 23. May 25 is Memorial Day. Not sure if you ladies make holiday plans or not.

I was missing you, too! Thank you!!!
Did you have something to do with the KSS door prize? Suzy just shared the good news with me that I won it. I so loved stamping the squirrel in Austin- that third stamp sure makes me go wow!
