Okay everybody!! I just got off the phone with YuRee. Looks like we are going to be having this at Golden Corral in Layton (directions to come). It is really easy to find and just off I-15. This way, we will just have to pay for our food and rental costs for a space. And, bonus, nobody has to cook!
So, September 30th, 10:30 to 2:30 at Golden Corral. The cost is $6.99 prior to 11:00 am, after 11:00 it will be $9.49, so be sure to be on time! We are going to have the room for 4 hours and since that just happens to go into lunch time...the manager said we could munch off the lunch buffet too! Super nice, huh? The reservation is under Splitcoaststampers.
So, YuRee will be updating the OP pretty soon and will correct any info that I have gotten wrong. LOL
Also, we were wondering if you all wanted to have a theme??? Is that something you would be interested in? Also, how about door prizes? If you are interested in donating a little something for door prizes, please PM me or YuRee (cookscrapstamp).

Ok ladies I updated the original post but we need theme ideas if we want one and also want to know if we want to do doorprizes. If we do then what we suggest is that everyone bring a little something and then we will draw for them throughout the event!
Can a total beginner come? lol. I live in Preston Idaho but I'm from Roy and my parents still live there and could watch my boys. And is it any stamp set we want to use? or are you doing a general theme?
door prizes sounds like a fun idea, we could all bring embleshments, 3-d items etc and have drawings throughout the day.
As for a theme, either way i'm ok, I don't have any specific ideas I'd probably prefer that we don't have a theme so we are not limiting our projects but I'd work with a theme. How's that for being a fence sitter!! : )
April- Sure, come on down. What we are doing is a shoebox swap and you make whatever you want to make and then cut all the pieces for everyone that is attending to make one of the same project you made. This includes bringing your stamps and ink needed for that project. We would love to have you so come on down.
Tricia- The theme idea wasn't going to apply to the projects themselves but Allison and I were thinking we could decorate a little if we had a theme. Either way is fine with me too so I guess I am sitting on the fence right beside you!

Shannon- I think we need a definate head count by September 1st. That gives people time to order and put together what they need for the swap. Please let me know if they would like to sign up but if they are not on SCS then I might need a point of contact so I can send out reminders, etc.
The question comes up if it needs to be SU only and I say no but good quality cardstock, please. There are many who stamp that make beautiful cards and stuff that do not only use SU. Any objections, please let me know.
It sounds like people are willing to bring door prizes and that would be awesome. Just donate whatever you would like but as you are trying to decide what to bring ask yourself, "Would I like to win this?" Please package the item(s) nicely.
Yes.. Come and join us. I think that since we are all providing our own supplies in order to make the projects it can be what you have. The only thing I am asking is good cardstock and not cheapy stuff.

Just wondering if anyone in the Utah county area or So Salt Lake area would be willing to carpool.
I really shouldn't drive as far as Layton and I know my husband would take me somewhere to meet up with someone if I could ride the rest of the way with ya'all.
YuRee if you have been trying to call me sorry I haven't answered. My phone is acting mental and now that we are in Kansas we don't get service out here in the boonies. I am able to check my e-mail here daily though so if you need something, just e-mail me.
I was really excited to see the new sign ups!!! Tricia, if you can't find a car pool I can come and pick you up if your hubby can bring you half way....maybe downtown SLC or something? That would be okay with me if you can't find a carpool. :-D
