Is there going to be a secret gift exchange this year? I've been saving odds and ends (duplicates) and getting all sorts of ideas to fill a gift with not much money. PLEASE? I want to share my goodies!
It's okay to challenge a ribbon fetish from time to time..... we all will struggle a bit.... BUT grow too... it'll be okay. Think of all the fun you'll have trying to get around the rule........

Carole - thanks for leading me down the path of 'scenic route'. That got me thinking I had a whole pack of 'Recess' paper that you convinced me to buy a while back. Then I changed the whole layout. Well, you know how it goes.
So ladies - put me down for the 12x12. Paper is already cut, I can't turn back now.
I think Adelee more like gave her a snake bite for Christine not to use ribbon.
Robin- okay I can celebrate now for you joining our scrapbook pages.
I bought my patterned paper yesterday in Medicine Hat on my way to Sask. SO now when I get back I can Scrap away oh ya have to borrow a stampset from CinS for the pages as well.
I'm not done either. I'm waiting for CS to arrive so I can start laying it out. I have it all ready tho' (in my head)

Sorry for the slow response. I am not living at home... the "repairs" have taken on a life of their own here and we have been at the Sheraton for a week and a half. I have had to go home every day to be the "on site" supervisor.... and try to keep up with all the other stuff that we actually had planned for our life...
On top of all that last week Tuesday I had all four wisdom teeth removed and then we had "surprise" guests in town for friday.... it was wonderful because I hadn't seen them in two years... but hard because I had other commitments that day.
I'm still thinking about this one so don't count me out yet. Have to talk to DH to see if it may be viable. Will let you know before the 30th. If it works out that I can come, can I pay Adelee when I see her in Sept.?? It will probably be quicker that the mail.

It�s simple really!! Bring a gift, get a gift!! There is no need to sign up. The rules: Limit is $10, gift must be wrapped with a handmade card indicating who it is from. Gift must contain stamping, scrapbooking, papercrafting items including something handmade. Get creative, make a card set, some 3D items, a unique altered item � have some fun!!!
Make/give something you would love to receive.

So, Robin how is the battle going? Who is winning the creator or the horder?? I am very interested to see how this plays out... As someone who has had the distinct privilege of witnessing your work "settling" is not a word that springs to mind. So, 60 brads..... is settling talk??? :lol: yup, can't wait.
What I was also interested to see was if anyone was making feeling "Catholic" enough to have true confession time this a.m.... it seems I've been thrown under the bus here a bit on the "ribbon" issue..... interesting. Oh, well. I'm a big girl. I can take it

Robin- you have me thinking I need to check my brad supply as well. I've been using them like crazy. I may need to. place an order for some when I get home, too finish my pages.

The horder won the battle over the scrapbook page. No brads, assembled the pages and have them tucked away to travel. Thumbed her nose at the creator and told her to suck it up and move on to the next project.
The creator is now eyeing up the stash of hat pins and beads......the saga continues.
Does this mean that you are going to sign-up for the scrapbook page now, Robin - the hoarder?
