Oohh...so you're saying in addition to bringing the supplies for everyone to make a card, you also want to do a real swap where we would each bring 30 card fronts (all the same) and then everyone would swap out and go home with the 30 cards they made AND 30 different cards from the swap? Wow, I don't know. It seems like a lot of work....what does everyone think about that?

I would love to do that, but with the time drawing near, I don't think I could get all thirty cards ready for the shoebox swap along with 30 swaps. This is just me. It's a great idea, and we should definitely think about doing that at future gatherings. I just think I would freak right now, if I had to do 30 swaps! I'm a whimp and need so much time to plan these things. Maybe some of the other ladies would like to do it, but I'll have to bow out this time. We could take a poll....maybe? Keva....back to you!

Ladies, I'm going to have to cancel. Things just got very hectic. We have bought a new home will be closing in a couple of weeks. I know I won't have time to prepare for or even attend the swap. I was so looking forward to it. I'm sorry I won't make it.

Here's my 2 cents on the swap - I'm going to do good to get myself together enough to have everything ready for the make and take part.
I don't think I'll have time to make 30 cards. Maybe next time????
I don't think I would want to do the cards and swaps in addition to. Even though I don't work outside I'm not sure I could get 20 something card kits together & 20 something swaps too.

I really think that it would be hard to get it all together for that. I really would like to do it sometime. I think it would be fun. Getting ready for 30 card kits between work and High School baseball just don't leave me with much time.. So I really think just one will do.
Yeah, I don't think I can do both the make & take AND the swap. This will be my first time for a M&T -- and I don't even know what I'm doing yet. Have to play tonight. I DO have an idea. It came to me about 4am this morning...we'll see if it looks like my dream... heeheehee

Well, I have some news that should fit Angela and Nita in if there was a cutoff...I am not going to be able to attend and neither will my two friends, Cindy (chdds) and Janeane (stampin-probum). Sorry ladies WE wanted to attend but there is a conflict here that prevents us from attending. :( WE will try again next time...Thanks for all the hard work Keva. :mrgreen:

We need a cut off date... So that we can get everything prepared. It is only 19 days away! It will be here before we know it. I know we can find some more people to come. Lets get the spots filled. I will try and get some more from the west side to come. Just look at it as "Girls day out" We need to make this one better that last year.. "don't know if that is possible" We had a blast last year!
Hey ladies..the cut off date is Wednesday of this week. We are at 23 right now. If we can get 30, great..but if not Wednesday at 12 noon will be the end time and we'll go with however many we have then.

Sorry..I edited it again. I am working on a huge project here at wotk and I am also traveling to Milwaukee and Houston this week and next week, so my head is in a work bubble...sorry! Yes, Wednesday at noon. That will give everyone a chance to order anything they might need.

I'm getting excited too! I've made my card, now I just have to cut all the pieces! I can't wait for a whole day of stamping, chatting, eating and laughing!! I picked up something for the doorprize the other day!!!...It's good!!

I've got everything cut and ready to go. Oh, I hope y'all like my design! Now to decide on a great doorprize. I can't wait to see everybody for some stamping, visiting, and eating.
Speaking of eating, I have a story for you, Jan. I went to a fun run last weekend. When I crossed the finish line everyone was eating BANANAS! Yipes!

Well it is only a few days away! I hope everyone is ready... I have most of mine cut, just got a few more things to do before I put it in the bags... We are gonna have lots of fun...
Getting ready to start cutting and prepping everything for my card.
How much are we bringing for pizza and how much for the church? I want to make sure I have the right amount of money with me.
I will have my crop-a-dile with me if anyone wants to play.

I've got my sample made. Went to M's yesterday in Nashville yesterday & got one of the Scrap, Paper, Scissors mini totes so I can be nice & organized. I will be cutting paper & ribbon one day this week. I still need to figure out something for the door prize though.

Hi Ladies....I'm sorry I haven't been in touch. I have been very ill again and in and out of the hospital. I have cut nothing, done nothing, and thought about nothing for over a week. This is my first time on since last Tuesday, I think. :(
Anyway, I think bringing about $5 for pizza would be sufficient. I would bring singles, though, because I remember last year it was only about 3 or 4 dollars. I think we are okay with the pizza (one sausage, one pepperoni, and one cheese). So far we have 3 diet drinks and a Sprite. Could 2 people bring a pepsi or Coke and a Hawaiian punch or something like that just to round out the drink choices? I am bringing napkins and paper plates, so we're good with that,too. If someone wants to pick up some chips or cookies, that would be great,too.
Don't forget that we are all bringing door prizes,too! It doesn't have to be handmade..it could be paper, stamps, ink, dies, folders, whetever....just something like that.
I should be around today as I am feeling a teensy bit better, so if you have any questions just post them here.

Ouch, I'm so sorry you've been in the hospital, Brownee.
I have to back out of coming this weekend -- have to work plus I don't have the stamina to drive to Nashville and back all in the same day.

Are we trying to not duplicate the same sets? I was thinking of using a set that was already listed should I change it? Yes, I know today is Monday and I only have 6 days... eeeekkkk I better get a move on huh? :wink
I don't have a prob with duplicates! Also, Perri...we donated $5 to the church last year. I'm pretty sure Miss Keva said we'd do the same thing this year.
