Thanks (and sorry), Megan

Tammy, it looks as if someone is dropping out and quite a few people said one more wasn't a problem, so may I assume I may come? When Megan first told me about this I wanted to participate but I had a card making party scheduled at a friends. She just cancelled on Saturday. This sounds like so much fun.
Do you have access to an oven at the church? I have some great sandwiches that take 20 minutes to heat up that I would be willing to bring. Pat

Yes, I would say you're in! Glad you can make it! As far as an oven, I don't know. I'll try to get back with you ASAP, or if MommaPatti checks in here, she can maybe get the answer as it is her SIL's church we are using... mine was very rudely scheduled for something else after I had already reserved the fellowship hall!
Hi all! I am fine with another stamper added to the already great mix. The more the merrier!!! Yes, the church does have an oven where we can heat things. Looking forward to seeing everyone!!
OK... mileages! Basically the only way to Smithville is via State Route 585. Coming from the east... Akron/Canton, etc. you will enter Smithville village limits and almost immediately cross a set of railroad tracks. From the tracks it is 4/10 of a mile to the church, on your left. If you're coming from the west... Wooster, etc. you will enter the village limits right by The Barn Restaurant. From the driveway at The Barn, it is 8/10 of a mile to the church on your right. Hope this helps!
Looking forward to meeting all you new friends, and seeing my great Playmates!
This is almost as good as Christmas! Will Saturday ever get here? Tammy, am I correct in thinking that everyone will bring their own adhesive and scissors, and we are to bring whatever else is needed for our project? My project does require adhesive (of course) and will work with glue sticks or SNAIL/mono, but will likely adhere best with sticky strip. Since that is costly for 21 people, I am asking that if anyone has sticky strip (the skinny double sided tape with the red liner that peels off) PLEASE bring some for this project. If you don't, that's ok, b/c other adhesives will work...
So, we are to bring: 1) Our own scissors and favorite adhesive 2) Our shoebox swap project and supplies needed to make it 3) An appetizer, salad, dessert, or some type of yummy food to share 4) An optional $5 door prize...if you want to be in the drawing for a door prize, you need to bring one! A couple questions: a) do we wrap the door prize or leave it as is, so one can choose what they want? b) do you want nametags so we can figure out who's who? premade, or make them when we get there? If you want nametags, and we make 'em at the swap, I am willing to bring stuff to make them (alphabet stamps and stamp pad)

You've got it all summed up pretty good, Mom! I agree... wrap the door prize somehow... makes it more fun. I'm trying to think of a creative way to do the drawing. I was planning on bringing plain old "Hello, my name is..." labels but if someone wants to do something more creative for nametags that is fine with me. I would like name tags to have regular name and SCS username on them, and some usernames are kind of long (like mine!) so we should plan accordingly.
I was thinking this morning, as far as what you bring for your project, if you want your stamps cleaned you should bring your scrubber or whatever too, to place at the "station" with your project.

Oh, I'm thinkin' the plain old "Hello, my name is...." will be just fine, especially if we're doing both names, which is a great idea! We'll be doing plenty of stampin' that day, no need to add to the inky fingers!
Good idea to bring scrubbers, too! I'll add it to my list!
hi im excited about the swap this weekend which is my FIRST EVER
is our count now up to 22? just want to make sure that i have enough supplies for my swap? i'm bringing a food dish, i have a $5.00 door prize, do i need to bring anything else? sorry i was a girl scout -- i just want to be prepared and well supplied before i start the drive to meet you all! thanks so much! becky

Main St., Smithville, OH 44677 for mapquesting, I think you'll get good results. And like I said, I'll measure the distance on odometer from each edge of town this morning, if I remember!

Thinking back again on the supply list/ what to bring, etc. and wanted to add that if necessary, you should have printed instructions with your project! Even if it's just a step-by-step guide to assist so everyone doesn't have to ask you to come explain something each time is helpful!
I too was planning on making some extras so to me a few more people is not a big deal. I am really looking forward to seeing those of you who where there in February, and to meeting all sorts of new people. Since I now live closer I am looking for ladies to stamp with!
Tammy-I can bring whatever you need as far as food. You can PM me if there is something you need more of, or I will just bring a bakery item. My mom will most likely bring some sort of salad, she makes very yummy ones!
See you all Saturday!!!
Oh yeah, I will be bringing a door prize too!
I am going to bring a potato soup instead of a baked good (unless you really need baked good). I have bowls and everything. I'm not copying Debbie, really.;-) I guess great minds think alike. Let me know if I you prefer I bring something else. Thanks!!
My mom is still in for a salad, most likely a fruit salad (yummy yummy)

Soup of any kind sounds great!!! Sorry, I haven't had time for updating the list and such. At this point, if you can eat it, bring it! I've been dieting for 2 weeks, and I'm splurging on Saturday!
Hey, if you all have time, find the profile for SCS'er DawnL. She lives over near Dayton, and Janet (GrandmamaBobo) who's coming to the swap from Kentucky stopped to visit her and her llamas the other day! Dawn has a link in her signature to her Picture Trail, and from there you can look for pictures of their visit! Scroll down a way... I think the pictures were titled "A Visitor from Kentucky."
Well, I guesss I should come up with a project or something then, huh?
Me too! My mom has her project and everything cut. She keeps asking me what I am doing. UMMMM, well, I don't know EXACTLY. That's part of the fun! I have some ideas, but I know I will be up late cutting tonight!!! I am a night owl by nature, but you know that tonight I will be dragging and so upset with myself. Oh well, it will all be worth it tomorrow!
See everyone in just over 24 hours!!
