jenn....where are you flying into....does arlington have an airport...?
just looking for ideas other than driving....but still might just drive!
Hey, Cammie, I got flights into Love, but Jody said to try American for DFW. . . so I'm gonna check there (and read the fine print to see if I will get a big ding for cancelling!).

That's funny - that's the exact opposite of what I think about DFW and Love! Unless you're flying out of the new international terminal in DFW, it's a seriously ghetto airport. Both of our airports could seriously use some updates. They're both nasty. I'm amazed people don't walk out of the plane, scowl and say, "This is Dallas?" and then turn back around and go home! They're that nasty.
I like Love better because it's closer for me and faster to get in and out of. That and SW is usually on time. American is not.
Also, for those flying into/out of DFW on American, expect delays. I've flown a lot for business and I tend to avoid DFW (and American) if I can due to the delays. I've landed 20 minutes early there, only to wait 45 minutes for a gate, making my plane "land" 25 minutes late. Talk about frustrating! That and security can easily take forever to get through, especially in terminals A and C. Though the signs they put out for time in line (i.e. 45 minutes out, 30 minutes out, etc...) are pretty true to time.
Although I'm on the waitlist, I'm thinking up my project! Some of y'all need some things to come up so I can get bumped up! I'm thinking positive so I'm looking forward to seeing y'all!
really? I fly american all the time and we've never been delayed......and dude - DFW has nothing on Kansas City's airport in the skank-ness......seriously - Kansas City's is pretty bad!!!
and I am notorious for showing up like exactly 40 mins before my flight....and we whip right through security! LOL!

You got that right. I have only been in the Kansas City airport a couple of times and that was enough for me.
I fly into Love Field only because it is more convenient for me. My dd lives closer to Love than to DFW so it's much easier and faster for her to come pick me up.

So.... who is up for some Friday afternoon shopping? Local girls? Wanna take us to some LSSs?
Emily, is there going to be an organized dinner for Friday night?
I'm so excited! YAY!
I don't know that there are any good ones! Perhaps 45 mins away maybe. The stamp store in fort worth is nice....the one in waxahachie is fabulous. But both are kinda far.....
Well, if Kendra's going to eat, then I'll be there! Olive Garden is fine for me (assuming of course I get bumped up, not bumped off!). That seemed to work well last year anyway and everyone had a good time.
That's weird on the KC airport - I didn't remember it being that nasty. I DID remember their wacked out security though and feeling like a hamster pinned in a cage when you get put into the gates. I was pretty bleary eyed the last time I went through though. Now y'all are making me dread my flight into there next month (actually flying American, but out of Love as it's cheaper and times are better - that and Love's closer to me)!

You are the second person in two days that I've heard mention the Waxahachie store! This place must be incredible! Where the heck is it in Waxahachie?
The only other store I can think of that's sort of near (and really not that near) is Gotta Scrap in Rockwall. It's like a mini-Recollections. The owner is really sweet too.
There is that big HL out on 20 though (in the same shopping center as Olive Garden). I haven't been in, but I'd bet it's at least decent.

Sounds good to me. I can sacrifice some time for good shopping! LOL There are 3 LSS's here in El Paso, but everytime I travel and go to LSSs they have fun and different new things for me to buy.
How far away is it from DFW? Jen's house? Just trying to get an idea of the distance and time to travel there. I am geographically challenged.
Hi back to Kendra! Can't wait to see what you create this year - your card last year was awesome!
And Jody, the stamp store in Ft Worth (Imprints) is actually in South Fort Worth off of I-20, so it's probably 20-30 minutes from where we had the swap last year. I'm guessing that Waxahachie is a bit farther (never gone there from Arlington). It's South of Dallas by a good 20 minutes or so, so maybe 45 min to an hour from the swap location?
