I have a question for you ladies. Since there have been so many great new stamp companies coming out lately (Stamping Bella, MFT, Papertrey Ink, Gina K, etc, etc, etc) are the rules about using SU! stamp sets going to change? I'm looking forward to trying stamps that I've never used before!

I have a question for you ladies. Since there have been so many great new stamp companies coming out lately (Stamping Bella, MFT, Papertrey Ink, Gina K, etc, etc, etc) are the rules about using SU! stamp sets going to change? I'm looking forward to trying stamps that I've never used before!
I don't think I'm speaking out of turn but Emily and I talked about it yesterday and I think we are going to stick with SU products. I know there are sooooo many great companies out there but also too many variables too.

Believe me ladies - I love other stamps. In fact, I don't know when I last ordered and SU stamp set. HOWEVER, it is more of a quality control issue than a "we are SU nazis issue". kwim?
We have to draw some lines in order to guarantee that people will bring quality. We've all been to a swap where someone tries to pass off white construction paper as Whisper White. It happens. And short of having you all mail us your sample prior to the swap to make sure it's ok......well, Jackie and I just don't have time for that, lol!
I love lots of stamps. So it is not that at all. Perhaps we can come up with a better idea for next year. But for now, there's just not enough time to do anything like that. And if we say company A,B,C and D are fine....suppose someone is offended that we left company E off our list. There are so many great stamp companies out there....this is just the easiest way to do it for now. Perhaps we can brainstorm on another way for next year.

I'm a little bit disappointed, but I totally understand that this way is easier. I'd better get planning! I'm so excited to meet all of you.

Just put my payment in the mail to Jackie G, so hopefully soon I'll be officially official! Can't wait to see everyone again, and thanks again to Emily and Jackie for making this happen for us. You two are the best!
Ladies, I will get the paid names to Emily tomorrow (Tuesday). Time management has NOT been my forte recently!! I have several envelopes here that I know are from stamping women but I have not opened them yet. I have a workshop tonight, so you know I'm cutting cardstock right now!! but you will be seeing some names go green very soon.

Yes, and I read on your blog that you're already getting nervous! That is sooo funny, because (and I can't remember who I was saying this to, let me think on that...) I described you as "Take charge, no nonsense, has her act completely together..." Seriously! You were In-Charge-Marge last year -- and I mean that as a total compliment! You would be an AWESOME teacher!!! So it was completely 180 degrees the opposite of my impression when I read your blog. DON'T stress about this, okay?! Promise me!!!
I bet the whole thing would flop if you didn't get so stressed about it.....so don't do that!! You do toooooo great a job! You have so many helpers this year....it's going to be GREAT!!

No really, I guess I come off that way.....but I'm not feeling that way! If I wasn't running it, I'd probably be sitting in the corner talking to a few people - I'm so not good in groups!
What the heck is up with the mail. I mailed my check a week ago and my name didn't turn green. I would have thought that Jackie would have my check and registration form by now.
