9/26 Laurel, Maryland SBS - Full & accepting a waitlist
09/26 SBS Laurel, Maryland - Maryland City VFD Hall
Hello Stampers. This will be my first Shoe Box Swap. People local to the area might know me from some of CindyLs, Cathleen7s or Theresa Romanis shoe box swaps. Now it is my turn.
The shoebox swap will be on Saturday, September 26, from 9:00AM until 5:00PM, at The Maryland City Volunteer Fire Department Hall, 3498 Fort Meade Road, Laurel, MD 20724. This Swap will have a fall and winter theme. So cards for fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving Winter and Christmas. Its too early you say?? At the time of the swap Halloween will be about 35 days away, Thanksgiving 60 days away and only Christmas 90 days away. Its never too early.
There will be room for 31 stampers (over 18 years of age please) to attend and each stamper will bring a shoebox swap for 30 people to make and something to share for lunch. There is a $10 non-refundable charge per person for hall rental and will need to be sent to me prior to the swap to secure your spot. Everyone who signs up must have a Splitcoaststamper ID.
All cards are to be full cards. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc., along with your own adhesive and basic tools (like scissors) to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies are labeled with either your name or initials, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. Each person is to provide a sample of your card for reference in your box along with typed instructions telling how to make your card. Please also separate you supplies in to individual baggies or envelopes containing everything each person needs to do your card. This really helps make the swap go more smoothly.
All cards or projects must be made using Stampin' Up stamps, cardstock, inks, etc. Stamps and colors can either be current or retired Stampin Up! items.
Everyone is asked to please bring something to share for lunch. When you sign up for the swap, please post what youll bring for lunch. I will have access to the kitchen for ice and refrigerator use but not the stoves, so please do not bring anything to be baked or that needs to be heated up. Crock pots are welcome.
There will be several door prizes throughout the day. I will also be collecting non-perishable food to donate to a local family in need. For each can or box of non-perishable food you donate you will get a ticket for a different prize drawing. Suggested food items are: spaghetti sauce, canned vegetables, canned fruit, soups, cans of beans, tuna, peanut butter and boxes or bags of noodles. Also you can also donate the following paper products for tickets: paper towels, toilet paper and Kleenex. The couple has no children but she recently had a mini stroke and to make a long story short their income has been reduced by more than 50%.
So, youll need to bring the following to the swap your shoebox swap (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, fall or winter), something to share for lunch, and non-perishable food item if you'd like to donate any.

I made eggplant parmesean for dinner tonight. DH wanted to add hot italian sausage (he had left over) to his portion. I've created not only a eggplant lover now, but with the addition of the sausage, he must have eaten 3 portions! I have just enough left over for one of us tomorrow at lunch!
Hope every one is doing well! Kathy, I so look forward to this swap!
Wanted to let you all in on free shipping if you are interested in sticky tape or die cuts, I'll be ordering from texasjodylynn http://confessionsofaribbonaddict.blogspot.com and will be able to deliver the goodies at the swap or we can meet up prior to the swap to hand off. We are already well over the free shipping mark, so you would just need to let me know what you are wanting and I'll give you a total and payment options.
Yeah, me too :p I just REALLY need to plan ahead...As I sit here contemplating WHEN to start cutting for tomorrow's!! LOL!!!!! I keep telling myself it won't take long to cut...I will eventually believe it!! LOL!!

I have no doubt that you'll be ready by the time you leave tomorrow morning! You might not sleep, but you'll be ready!
