Alright ladies, what a great time on Saturday night and a big thanks to Diana for opening her home! For those who couldn't make it..we missed you. We've all decided to try to make it a monthly thing. Every month at someone elses house and a new project every time.
So here it is......
Jaunary 28th is the tenative date. Most likely around dinner time again so we can all bring dishes again and fuel up our bellys before we get to work. I do believe we decided explosion books would be the project. I am going to rent out the community room (yes I live in the towers.lol) because there is a ton of table space and my kids are not old enough to ride in the elevators to disturb us..hehehe.
PM me and let me know if this date works so I can get the room and get things planned. When things are set I will send out a list of supplies that should be brought along and that sort of stuff.
Really looking forward to having fun again!!!!!!

sounds good - and gives me more time to plan! I have a squadron function on either the 27th or 28th - if I can get it to the 27th then I will definitely be there!

Sure! Just let me know where to be and when (we need to be specific this time ;) ) LOL!
Hey, I went to Crafty Things today and I couldn't find the vellum. You'll have to show me where it is! I need to talk about my first workshop anyway, so call me tomorrow, okay?

I think it's awesome - this get together you all are having. I have a downline in Okinawa who hasn't had much exposure to anything stamping - she signed up right before she moved over there - could I email this to her and see if she'd be interested in attending?

I want to come! Looks like my other function is going to be cancelled - can I bring a non SCS member/but an SU! Demo with me?
Hey Karen, is there such a person?! Someone who is a SU demo, but not an SCS'er?? Wow! ;) WE MUST INDOCTRINATE HER! MUST bring her to the dark side....said in my best Darth Vader voice. --I call my demo my Obi Wan. LOL.
Anyway, more people means more fun!
Woo-hoo!
And how do we get our get together as a notice on the bottom of the forum web page?? It says events happening within the next 14 days...
We need to be official girls! LOL. We need to think of a really cool Splitcoast name for our group. Tropical Island Girls of Okinawa...hmm...sounds a bit too hula to me, maybe Geisha Island Girls? South China Sea Girls of Okinawa Splitcoast Chapter? Okitraz Splitcoasters? LOL!!! I don't know, I'm tired. Help me out here!
And I need a list of supplies soon. What if I have to order some stuff?! I mean, I really need a good excuse to order huh!

Hello Ladies,
Saturday, January 28th at 5:30 at my place.
I am going to make Sloppy Joe's to eat and I ask that everyone bring something to pass. I don't think we are that picky so what ever is fine.
I also think it would be great if everyone made some sort of homemade gift to exchange again. We did this at Diana'a and it was great!! Nothing fancy, just something fun!
Here is the list of supplies needed to bring with you to make the explosion book we will be working on that night. 3 sheets of cardstock 12x12
2 sheets of light weight paper 8 1/2x11 or 12x12
cereal box or any light weight cardboard, chipboard, posterboard.
1 yard of ribbon
Tape runner
Paper cutter
and any Ink and stamps you might want. Please be sure to bring what you want to use as I am a very new stamper and my collection is very small!!!
I am very excited to get everyone together..For those of you passing this along, please encourage those you know to come. Its a great way to make new friends on the island and just have a good time. Pm if you have any other questions.

just checking in. I will be up with my friend Melissa. Do you need to know what we're bringing for food? Are you keeping track or anything? Do you have desserts yet?

I don't think there is a huge plan for the food. So bring what ever you'd like. You can PM Rosie (maddiandtysmom) if you want to double check. she's hosting this month.
Looks like I might be bringing two people with me now. I don't know that any of us will actually have a stamped item to swap/give, etc... but just being with everyone will be fun. I have been working on my albums for my upcoming scrapbook workshop and we have a squadron KV function tonight and basketball in the morning so, LOL, you will probably get me with empty hands, but I'll be there!
Yeah, I am so glad that you are bringing more people with you. The more people the better I think. Don't worry about the swap thing. Maybe for those who bring stuff we will just make it like a door prize thing and draw names or something. I know there are a few other girls bringing people with them too. Oh it will be so fun, I can't wait for tomorrow night. We should really have a good turnout!!!!

my hubby is deploying again:( and he just got back.... sigh
I feel for ya!! My hubby was attached to the MEU for 2 years straight, and NEVER home - including a tour in Iraq all from here ... LOL, now I can't get rid of him
Hello:
My name is Jeannette and I would love to get together and stamp! I live on Sebille Manor close to Kadena Elementary. My e-mail address is [email protected]. Let me know.
Jeannette, come on down! I think it's in a post above, but we're meeting tomorrow night (Saturday) at the towers on Kishaba next to Kubasaki high school.
Roseanne, I drove over there yesterday to make sure I could find your tower, and I couldn't find a place to park. Is there like a visitor's parking lot or something? If not, what do you suggest?
Thanks,
Lisa
