I guess I have to re-subscribe to the thread. I'm not getting any e-mail updates. I met some SU gals that meet twice a month at the Round Table Pizza on 122nd and told them about the gathering. They are on SCS as well. They didn't know about it. That was last night. I don't see anything from them yet. Hope they check it out.

I guess I am just not going to be able to go! My mother is not feeling very well and is 2,000 miles away. She wants me to come and see her instead of y'all, I can't understand it all! I am reluctantly agreeing to it! I shall miss you all so much, poor, poor me!
Oh man, that stinks. I am sorry about your mom. I hope everything is ok. I will take you off the list. Let myself or Dorinda know if anything changes.
Hugs for you and your family!

Hello! My very first post here!
This caught my eye right away! Im new to the area and am really interested in this - can someone post the info on how to do the swaps in another format other then word? My mac doesnt have that on here. Or email it to me pretty pretty please? Ive never been to anything like this (other the SU conventions) and am wondering what to expect? This is not a crop right? Its sounds like we each bring a project to share? Sorry, just a newby wanting to learn cuz this sounds great!

everyone should make a door prize to bring and a name tag. The group will vote for best name tag. Door prizes will be a raffle type drawing.

This is so we can have an accurate count for the shoebox swap.
Remember to cut enough for the final number of attendees and full size cards.
There should be approximately 10-15 minutes to complete each project.
Cards should be simple enough for beginning stampers and attractive enough for more experienced stampers.
You will bring enough materials for each participant to make your project; materials will be pre-cut and pre-scored. 2 or 3 extras for any oops that may happen.
Individual Baggies is one option for keeping supplies sorted.
A final head count will be posted on October 1st. This will give you 20 days to finalize and prep your shoebox card.
Optional ATC Swap
ATCs are Artist Trading Cards
They are 3.5x2.5 in size and can be any theme you choose. There is a gallery on SCS for ATC cards.
Make as few or as many as you want to swap, we will try to have a final # of swappers by October 1st.
I will do my absolute best to PM all of you with a final swap number on or close to October 1st...at present it looks between 30-35.....but less than 10 payments/registrations have been received so far
Okay I am sooo bummed that I just saw this but Miss Tracy and I will be in Reno for Regionals on the 21st, shucky darn, you know we love a good SCS party!!!

ok so like let me ask a question...for some reason I thought that the shoebox swap was for 10 cards and then people just brought 10 and did 10 - but now it's dawning on me that you mean we have to prep for 35 CARDS are you kidding me???? AND stamp 35 cards...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????
OMG...35 cards..That will take me 3 weeks to make, and thats without any hardware. I thought it was for 10 also with a couple extra in case people mess up. Can we vote or something?? I vote to make 10 and get to know everyone with any time that remains.
Maybe (just a suggestion) we could each have a number as we come through the door and since you are going to know how many will be there, you could have a list made up of which box we pull from..
example: I would be #7, I would be told to pull one from each of the following stacks or boxes.. 3,5,9,11,15,17,18,21,28,33 that would be my 10.
If I am nuts and this would not work and you really want us to make 35 or so cards for a shoebox, please let me know.
