Shelley, believe me, I feel bad that I had to drop out right after two other ladies did the same!
I am a Key Spouse for the MOS on base and my fellow Key Spouse and I had tried in the past to hold get-togethers for the spouses in the squadron. Both times we scheduled on a Saturday morning and both times we had to cancel due to low attendance. I think Saturday mornings are busy for most families, just like it is going to be for my family now that we started Cub Scouts. Maybe some sort of poll on input from others can help to determine the best possible time? Just a suggestion!

Unfortunately, my calendar was already pretty full when we tried to nail down a date of when to do the Get Together and this was all that was available for us to do it at my place. In fact, my weekends have been booked since the first weekend in August and will be until Thanksgiving. I work full time and do my Stampin' Up as a full time business, so, it is really hard to have an open calendar to do much else.;) So we may have to do the next event somewhere else that will work better for everybody.

Hey Michele - Since the group has dwindled down to such a small group, Shelley and I have decided that it would be easier to go out for lunch instead of potlucking. We thought that the Bar-B-Que Shack(sp?) would be a good place, because they have a good variety of foods. Shelley will be posting about all of the details in the next day or two.
I'll talk to ya soon, I'm off to finish packing for the Petit Jean Retreat!

The Bar-B-Que Shack?! Dang, now I REALLY wish I could make it! I've only been there once but really liked the food. I have to admit, though, I still think The Meat Shoppe in Gravel Ridge has the best BBQ I've ever had!

Bummer! It was going to be a rough day for me, too, but I was going to make it for a little bit. I guess I'll just have to wear my SCS out on the town! If you see me out and about, please say "Hi!".

What a bummer! Even though I can't attend I was looking forward to hearing all about it. It does sound like there is quite a bit of interest, so hopefully we can still get together sometime.
Anybody interested in looking at the calendar again? I'll be out for 6 weeks (7 Jan - 15 Feb), but would love to do something later in February or March...something to break up the hum-drum of our 'winter'!!!
