Brenda - I will not be able to attend on Sat. Dec. 5th...so sorry. I know there will be some beautiful cards and I can't wait to see them here on SCS. Have a wonderful swap.
Anita, Susan, and Andrea have dropped out----BUMMER! So we have 3 open spots if you know of anyone who'd like to sign up! Also, I got several checks and changed some names to GREEN!
I just found out that the hubby's work Christmas party is the same day. I am not going to be able to swing both. I am so bummed that I am going to have to pull out of this swap! UGGHHH! Hope you'll be able to fill my spot Brenda.

Denise, I have the same exact issue! It sucks. Sorry you can't make it.
OK, I hate to be the next one to do this. I just found out that my almost 14 yr old is going to soccer playoffs in Corpus Christi that weekend, so I will not be around. So you can take me off the list too. :(
I keep trying to imagine SOME way that I can still make it work. Hah!!

:(How dare soccer get in the way of your stamping!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good morning! I have an update on Danielle----She's doing great. She got to go home last week and is doing well. She's still sore and can't do much, but is on the road to recovery.
Hi Sassybee, do you know what type of food will be served? I am thinking of coming & bringing my dil. We are gluten free. We could bring our own food, but I am also concerned if we will be sitting by a cooking area where we would get cross contamination from flour used in baking etc. I saw the peanut free notice. Does that include walnuts & pecans or just peanuts? Of course I am familiar with all that entails...
Also, I have an 11 Year old granddaughter. Are children that age allowed? Of course she has grown up in my scraproom and can hold her own! She is also gluten free.
For Saturday only what would we need to bring? supplies for others to make 45 cards?
Are we also supposed to bring a door prize?
Thanks
jeannine
I haven't figured out what card I am going to do... I had a couple of cute AMuse stamps but I think they would take more than 10minutes.
Is anyone else taking advantage of the embossing? I have a candy-cane stamp I think will work but am trying to figure out the best way to make it shine - embossing, crystal glaze or glitter? Please HELP!!!
Yippee! Breanda let me play by angeling a spot! Got the card all designed, all the layers cut. Just have to finish scoring, cut out one element, and packaged - might even go postal on Friday (if I can get it done in between cooking Thanksgiving dinner ;) ) I so wish I can be there in person but will def. be there in spirit. So excited I get to see everyone's kits

I better get busy. . .
Not almost - totally done - just have to mail the box tomorrow ;) Hope you guys like the card - all pre-stamped and scored. Just lots of layers to assemble ;)
Actually, I'm done except for the bling. . . I need to go to Archivers and buy some more yellowish/goldish bling, and then put divide them into my packets. Then, I'll be done. The question is, do I want to go out in holiday shopping traffic to get some??? Nah, I'll probably wait until Tuesday to go. . .;)
YIKES - I better get a move on. My boss is in town this week so that leaves, um, tomorrow... I think I will use glitter instead of embossing but will let you know for sure by Monday, Brenda - sorry to be a procrastinator :(

Working on cutting my cardstock now. Do we have a final count for participants?
Sorry I am so late in replying. I was out of town last week. At this point, I would make 30 sets + 2 display cards. If this number changes, I will let everyone know.
Hi Brenda!! Just want to make sure that you still want/need me to be an angel swapper. Didn't see me on the list....still can do it. I am a last minute person anyways, so I am not even stressed about it! lol I will be able to drive up there Saturday morning and drop it off before you start.

Yes, I need you still. You're not on the list? I better go fix that RIGHT now!
Ladies, a few of our swappers have had a rough time lately. It has made me really sad that they won't be able to participate. Please keep these ladies in your thoughts and prayers right now.
While I was away on vacation, Karen (gamblemom) was hospitalized. She won't be able to participate or help with the swap. She MIGHT (***keep your fingers crossed***) get released today. I have told her not to worry about the swap and to just concentrate on getting better. If ya'll would like to make an extra set for her or make her a get-well card, I am sure she would love that.
Danielle is doing well after her two heart attacks. I went to visit her before I left for vacation last week. She seemed very upbeat and in good spirits. She's got a long recovery ahead of her, but age is on her side. Her heart problem was congenital and she is the first person on either side of her problem to have had any heart problems. If you would like to send her an encourgaging card or get-well card, I am sure she'd love it. She is still going to participate, but won't be at the swap in person. She gets tired very easily and it would just be to much for her.
Rachel (rooky) probably won't be coming, either. Her father died last week unexpectedly. She is still grieving and a swap is probably the last thing on her mind right now. Feel free to send her a sympathy card. I will have a bin at the front of the room for the cards for Danielle, Karen, and Rachel.
