Patricia, your friend is next on the waiting list after Soft Prints. You had posted prior that you had someone interested, so I had her listed. I'll wait until early tomorrow morning to see if I hear from Soft Prints. If not, then your friend is welcome to come. I'll just need her name and stuff. I'll PM you and let you know. If she can't come, then I have Jane (cteid) on the waiting list.
Does anyone know Soft Prints personally that they could call her??? She's new to this thread and our shoebox swaps, so I don't know her real name.
Ladies, if you feel so led, please bring a male type get well card signed with a little note of encouragement or something inside for Kristy's husband, Mike. I have their home address, and I thought it would be nice of us to compile a bunch of cards, and I'll drop them all in the mail. What better way than to bless someone with our cards!! He's going to be down for a bit, so let's cheer him up.
Thanks bunches!!
Cindy, If you want I can drop off the cards to Kristy's husband. I have some stuff to take to her anyway. If there is anything I can bring let me know. Pam
I appreciate that Pam, but I think I'll still mail them in one big envy. It would be a nice surprise for him once he's home from the hospital. Thanks for the offer to bring something, but I think we are good. I picked up all of the paper goods today, so that's taken care of. I can't think of anything else we need. Just worried about drinks, but I'm sure we'll have enough - we always do!
Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to everyone. We had to wait quite a while to get my husbands schedule. But I should be able to make it. He is on call but from home. If he does get a call and needs to go in, I will have to leave pretty quickly. I will bring some sodas and chips for food. That way, if I have to leave, I won't need to take them with me. I haven't been to a shoebox swap since the very first one so I am pretty excited! See you all tomorrow.
Kristy
Bring it on!! We will have plenty of food to eat and drinks to drink and stamps to stamp and chatting to do. I almost have everything together, so tonight I'll be able to relax a little I hope. See you all tomorrow.
Ok, cardstock is cut and put in baggies. Brownie's are baked. I just have to get through the card class tonight and get home to get some sleep. I hope I'm not out to late. Will see you all bright and early in the morning. Pam
I thought about light music in the background, but didn't know if it would be distracting. If I can find some Christmas CD's, I'll bring them along. Can't promise anything since all Christmas is still packed away.
Ooops!
I am bringing coffee, but I only have sugar!
Can someone bring a handful of any kind of artificial sweetner you may have at home?
A million thanks!

I'm all ready to go, only thing left to do is put the meatballs in the crockpot before I go to bed so they can cook all night and be ready to go in the morning! Looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting some new ones! Hope you're getting a chance to relax tonight Cindy!
Thanks to all of you for making this another successful shoebox swap!! Thanks to those who donated prizes, helped set up and/or clean up, and those behind the scenes helping me prepare. You guys are awesome! The cards today were wonderful!! It was fun having a theme for the swap. Keep your eyes open in late Jan./early Feb. for information on the March swap.
Thanks to Cindy and all those that helped her today. Another great event!! Thanks ladies for all the great cards. Courtney really enjoyed making all her cards. She is trying to figure out who she will send them to. She thought she would send her Grandfather a card everyday beginning Dec.1st. We lost my mother-in-law the end of august. So she is constantly thinking about her Grandfather. And she would have extras for her Aunts and Uncles. Thanks again for another great event. Pam and Courtney
Cindy, thank you for hosting this wonderful swap! The cards were great, the people terrific, the food yummy... just a super day. I got to play with fun people and then as soon as I got in the door, my DH started serving the dinner he cooked - roast chicken, medly of vegetables, and fresh biscuits!! Whee... Then I went down the hall and discovered that he also cleaned the bathroom!!! Yes, I did the dishes and NO, he doesn't make housecalls, lol.
Thanks again Cindy for another fun day! I know you put a lot of work into making these swaps successful and it is much appreciated! Thanks to everyone for such wonderful cards and great food! My friends Sharon and Linda also enjoyed themselves very much and look forward to attending the next one!
Thanks to Cindy for organizing a fun day! I loved how spacious the room was....Special thanks to the ladies who let me join them at their table - you are a fun bunch! I am attempting to attach two pictures from todays gathering. All the cards were quite lovely, clever, cute or fun ..an impressive collection! Look forward to the next time!!
Peggy

Cindy, Thank you so much for such a wonderful event. The cards were beautiful and lots of new ideas. I send out 100 cards each year, thats my Christmas treat to myself, so I have to get busy making more. Thanks to everyone for the delicious lunch and those desserts. It takes alot of time and effort to set something up this great, so Cindy you are the best! I hope to be able to make the next one. Just a note, if someone finds my white gel pen or my sample card of the Gingerbread cookies, please send a message and I'll post my address. Thanks for your help Donna Hilse.
Cindy, thank you for your hard work and hosting another wonderful event. Everyone, thank you for making it so enjoyable and creating beautiful cards. Can't wait to do it again!
Thank you Cindy for coordinating another GREAT swap! I had a great time and the cards were wonderful! I really liked having a theme. I'm all up for a masculine swap - or unisex swap that could go either way. I have so many flower cards!
Thanks again! You do a wonderful job putting these together!
Thanks Cindy for organizing such a fun day. This was my first swap and had a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone for making such wonderful cards! I can't wait to do this again!!
Chara
PS. Did anyone find a Santa stamp that was part of my box. It was the Santa from the Crayon Christmas set.
Chara, I know when I did your swap I only saw the Snowman from the Crayon Christmas set. I just figured you brought the snowman since you had the other Santa. Ladies, did anyone see this stamp when doing her swap? Please check your stuff. And also check your stuff for Donna's pen and card sample. Thanks!
