I am all ready to go. Which usually I am up until midnight, so that is good. I can get a good night's rest as long as the baby sleeps all night, (knock on wood) which he has for four months now.
Cindy, just in case Patricia didn't get a hold of you, I am picking up her swaps in the morning.
See everyone tomorrow.

Cindy - Will we have the use of a fridge to keep food cold before lunch? I've
been ready for the past three hours - highly unusual for a procrastinator such as myself! Can't wait to see everyone in the morning - Cathy
I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate all your hard work and time to make today such a great time for us all. Please don't be discouraged by those that are not considerate of all those special extras you worked so hard to prepare for us. You did a great job! However you handle the next swap, please don't give up on us and we are behind (or next to you) all the way. If you do need help, let use know. We're here for you, knowing how much you've done for us.
CINDY - YOU ARE AWESOME! Looking forward to the nest swap in Nov.
Cindy, Thanks for another great stamping day!! Thanks to everyone for making such quality cards. I saw my stampin up girl tonight and shared all the wonerful cards with her!! She loved them!! If you ever need any help with anything Cindy, please don't hesitate to ask. Can't wait till Nov. for the next shoebox swap. I'll keep my fingers crossed!!
Everyone,
Thank you for the great time and for designing such wonderful cards. You really outdid yourselves. I had fun playing with the new "in colors" and the new stamp sets.
Cindy,
Thank you for hosting this event again. As always it was a huge success. If I can do anything to make it easier next time please let me know.
Can I just echo everyone else's sentiments? The swap was fun, the cards were great, and of course all of the stampers are terrific! Thanks, Cindy, for organizing, and I've already got the November swap on my calendar I hope to see many of you again. Cathy
I wanted to pop on to express my thanks to Cindy also. WOW!!! Cindy.... all your hard work REALLY showed! Thank you for stepping up to the plate!! YOU ROCK!!!
This was my FIRST ever Shoe Box Swap, and although, I didn't know what to expect.... I can say I DID NOT expect to be so WOWed!!! The cards you all designed were nothing short of AWESOME!!! I SO enjoyed playing with the new In Colors, new ribbons, and new sets! My wish list sure GREW after playing yesterday!!! I just keep looking and looking at my (your) cards!!! Thank you all!!
Now.... I have to also say. I wish there had been time to socialize some. I feel I missed an opportunity to meet some familiar SCS names, and get to know ALL of you!!! Maybe we need a SBS Social to follow the 'work'!! ;)
FOUND hole punch. Is anyone missing a punch, purple handle. I found it in my swap box this morning. I did not check before I left. PM me so I can get it back to you. Andrea
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Cindy. You did an awesome job. Thought of everything. Practice makes perfect and it was PERFECT!!! Yes it got a little warm (sorry to hear you didn't feel well afterwards) but it was a huge success!!! I hope you do the one in Nov. Sounds like it would be another fantastic time.
As Joan said below me...I agree that we need to have some socializing time. I would have like to meet some of the names I see on here too but there was just no time. Thank your Mom Cindy too. Great helper!!! Ok, I'm done now....see you Thursday Cindy.

Ladies, thanks for the nice comments. I proceeded to come home, drop everything in the living room, take a cold shower, and then get sick. I still feel light headed which stinks! DH says maybe dehydration or heat exhaustion. I'm hoping it goes away very soon.
I'm sorry about the A/C problems. I had no idea of that since I don't go to that church. It was out of my hands. I was fine until I ate lunch, and then I went downhill fast. Sorry I was griping towards the end too - it was just a bad afternoon for me not feeling well and everything else.
I've been giving lots of thought to the one in November, and I will most likely have it, but there will be some changes. Once I figure out what those changes will be, I will send out a mass PM to everyone and let them know. One of the things possibly will be that there will be pre-registration with a $10 non-refundable fee to cover the expense of the hall (wherever that might be) and all the expenses I put out. Right now, I just collect money to cover the hall rental - nothing for paper goods, door prizes, bags, labels, etc. It's starting to add up, and I just can't keep doing that every time. So I think the fee will be $10 which would cover the hall at either Faith or Hiss. If I'd have to find another location, that fee could change depending on the hall rental.
Someone offered to supply the paper goods, but the reason I do it is that what happens if that person is a no show that day and we have nothing to eat on or with. This way with me supplying them, I know they will be there. And it is a lot of money to ask one person to put out when you need to supply so much for so many people.
Lori shared with me how a swap worked in Denver, and I might consider going that route. You prepare a certain # of your cards a head of time and then swap with others and stamp the ones you need. This way, we could have more people attend without a waiting list and also have more time to socialize. And NOT feel rushed at the end to get every one of the cards done.
Like I said, I will PM you with what I decide. I'm not thinking about swaps or stamping any more today. I'm heading back to bed.
Thank you for all of your help yesterday, and I hope you enjoyed the awesome cards as much as I did. I know I've added some more things to my wish list - that's for sure!
I also want to say a big thank you to you ladies for all of the card ministry cards. I have 3 bag fulls of cards to go through. That's awesome! It's probably close to 400 cards - WOW! Thanks for blessing this ministry. I really appreciate it as do the members/visitors at Faith.

Ladies, I had so much fun yesterday!! A bit tired but worth it!! Cindy, great job at organizing the event and whatever you decide for the next swap will be ok. This was my first shoebox swap and I wil definitely come to another, I will concentrate on finishing cards and not talking so much (I didn't complete all the cards). But I learned well for the next event. The cards were great and inspirational.
Cindy, I'm so sorry I had to miss yesterday's swap, I was thinking how much fun you guys were having while I was at my family's event! I often wondered how you do it all, I figured it had to be expensive to put it together with all the stuff you bring and I would be happy to pay any pre-registration fee you set! I know you work very hard to put these together! I really hope you do the one in November and I am willing to help with anything you need. I hope you feel better and I'll see you at the swap in Elkton on the 18th!
Cindy - Thanks for the wonderful time yesterday. Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well afterwards. I hope you are doing better now. I went home and crashed too, but that was just my usual lack of sleep, lol. Love your idea of pre-registration and all. And if we did make up some of our cards ahead of time there would be more time to get to know everyone, not just the people we came with/sat with. Looking forward to November!
Hey Andrea,
I just checked, and mine is not in the box. (Guess I should have looked before I left:rolleyes. There used to be a little sticker on the side of the punch on the metal with CM on it, but it might have fallen off by now. I can send you some money to ship it to me. I will also PM you
I had a great time yesterday as well. All the cards were great, everyone is so talented. I am looking forward to the one in November. This time I won't be 6 1/2 months pregnant, so I should be able to attend.
Thanks for a great time yesterday Cindy.

Cindy,
Just checking, are you feeling better? Was it just the heat?
Connie
I finally feel human this morning. Still a wee bit light headed, but nothing like Saturday and Sunday. I'm assuming it was the heat and dehydration. Thanks for checking on me Connie!

Glad to hear it! Hope it is completely gone by tomorrow morning.
Cindy, It looks like you had another great swap, I'm sorry I missed it. My knee surgery went well and I'm moving faster this week. Please let me know when the swap is in November, I would love to come again. Donna Hilse
I also thought you did an awesome job on Saturday of pulling everything together. Even with the heat, I totally enjoyed myself. Maybe I sweated off a few pounds! ( yeah right). The cards were great! I showed Margaret, and every one she looked at, she said maybe this is my favorite, no maybe this one is! Now I have a few more "must need" sets.
Joan- it was great seeing you again after all these years!
I'm pretty much back to normal. I'm sure it was from the heat.
Donna, the November swap is on the 3rd.
Ladies, I have a lot of things going thru my head for the November swap and will be sending out a mass PM probably next week with lots of questions I'd like you to answer. Sort of like a poll - don't want to post it on the thread, because there is more than one question. I want to get your feel on the swap, because it is YOUR swap. So look for a PM from me sometime next week after I get everything figured out.
Thanks to those of you who have answered my questions. I'm still waiting for others to respond and then I'll tally them up.
I am going to see if Hiss has a larger room for us to use, so there is more "breathing" room so to speak. I know it will be more $, but we'll see how much more.
Pleasant Hill's fellowship hall would be perfect - it's large enough to have tables set up to stamp and then more tables to eat at and socialize.
I'll get back to you after I get all the results in.
