Our swap will be at First Baptist Church in Moncks Corner. The address is: 112 East Main Street. It is the Intersection where Main Street meets Hwy 17A right across from the Piggly Wiggly.
For those coming from Columbia, get off at the 199 exit in Summerville going towards Moncks Corner. That will be 17A. Just follow that all the way to Main Street Moncks Corner. It will be about 15 miles from Summerville. Take a right on to Main and the church will be on the left. Park in the lot on the right of the church as we will be in the Fellowship Hall. I will try to remember to put some balloons on the door so that you will know where to come in.
If you have any questions or problems, call my cell. I will send out the number to everyone via email. We will start at 9:30. I will be there between 8 and 8:30 to open up and start setting up.

Good Morning, how far is the Tanger Outlets from the church?
It will take you about 30 minutes to get there maybe a tad longer. It takes me about 30 but I know the way. I would just take I26 back towards Columbia and get off at the 199 exit (Hwy 17A) in Summerville going towards Moncks Corner.
Since Lynda said that she will take the pictures of the cards, I'll focus on taking pictures of people. I will also bring my tripod for the group photo.
The sky is the limit when it comes to door prizes...you name it and it has been a door prize...stamping supplies, paint cans, word frames, coasters, SCS coffee mugs, gift certificates, candles. I hope this gives you an idea of what to expect...or helps you decide what to bring...

i have not seen it on the news. I think she has runaway so they cannot issue an amber alert. They have changed the poster and removed the word missing.

It doesn't have to be a Chas girl it can be anyone who wants to do it next, as long as they agree to bring it to the next shoe box. When I started it I just thought it would be nice to have something to pass around at our get togethers to see how we've grown.
I just needed a break and since I was going to have surgery it was a good time to pass it on to someone else. However, if no one wants to do it, I will take it back.
How about all those scrappers out there? Want to give it a try? Patti

I did not realize you started the book or that you maintained it all this time. I will gladly bring it Saturday for everyone to see. Then bring it back home with me and scrap this shoebox swap....Maybe in the Spring someone would like to take it over....It has been fun looking back over the pictures and see how we have grown....I love this group.

To the girls that met yesterday in Moncks Corner, SC. Here is the recipe for my Pumpkin Dip that so many asked for.
1 15 oz. can of pumpkin
1 lb. of powdered sugar
2 8 oz. bricks of cream cheese (softened) I used the reduced fat
1/2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
a dash of cinnamon
Mix cream cheese with a mixer until soft, add pumpkin, mix until mixed together, then add pumpkin pie spice,cinnamon & powdered sugar, mix until well mixed.
Refrigerate until cold, serve with cinnamon graham cracker sticks

If you are interested, here is the recipe for the ham and cheese spread:
1 8 oz. block cream cheese softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3 slices ham chopped
Combine ingredients and put in a pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is good and melted, maybe a little brown on top.
Or you can use the crock pot, seemed to work fine.
Serve with Ritz crackers.

Lynda Grossman and I shared the photography duties. Lynda took the photos of the individual swaps and I took other photos and the group photos.

I had a great time on Saturday. Here are the details for those who missed it.
I think 13 people came. We did door prizes and secret sister. We made the swaps and had lunch. KTluv won the name tag contest. There are picures of her and some of the handmade door prizes and secret sister presents in the gallery.
Thanks for sharing the pictures! I was in Savannah and couldn't make it, but your pictures helped me to feel like I was there! Wow...what awesome door prizes you ladies came up with! I hope to see you next time.

Thank you for being patient with me about the swap pictures. It was a hectic week with Courtney's twin brother's huge, gorgeous wedding last Sat. Everything went fine that evening for the service, but I am sure that Courtney has more stories to share leading up to it... We were carefully plowing through very deep water to get to the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening in downtown Charleston :( .
The Shoebox swap photos are all uploaded into the South Carolina folder. Thanks to Honey for quickly uploading the people and other pictures last week. We had such a fun time even if there were only 13 people there. Thanks to Katie for organizing the event, location and food bank collection! I appreciate both Sandy and Teresa sending out their yummy recipes, too! It was nice for me to meet some new people. I feel sorry for the ones who couldn't make it - hopefully they will be able to come next time in Columbia. I have a sign in sheet recommendation for next time (if you don't do it already)- have a column for everyone's splitcoaststamper name. This will make it easier connect swaps with the designer's blogging name.
Teresa-I hope your DH's surgery went well last week.

I don't know how many of you knew her but some of the Columbia girls mentioned they had come down and taken her Cricut classes. If you haven't heard, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer back in July. Well, she lost her fight last Monday. For more details, you can check out the Pink Houses website. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She will definitely be missed!
