Hello,
I have recently been to the gathering near Corning and had a great time and will be attending the gathering in Rasomville on 04/26 and plan, again, on having a great time. All of this has prompted me to explore the interest of having a gathering here in Rochester in the fall. I was thinking maybe late September - anybody interested????

I always hope I can attend the gatherings planned by people in the greater CNY area but there are too many variables so I just want to say that I think this is a great idea and to look if there are any rubber stamp conventions happening around that time.
I know there is one in Rhinebeck (either the 2nd or 3rd week of Sept) but not sure that location would affect attendance. Well ... it would affect mine because I have standing plans to go each year with several friends and would not miss it even if I have to go alone.
Good luck and I'll be following the chatting in hopes I can be there!

Hum, where's Rhinebeck? This is one of the things I was wondering about as well - other gatherings in the area. The event in Corning was the first I had been to, so I'm not "up" on the different locations that people have them at. Thanks and we'll see what happens!!

Just answered my own question - gotta love mapquest. Rhinebeck is approx 4 hours from Rochester.

Yep ... but I love any chance I can get to stamp/chat/eat with y'all. I know one of the Dianes from CNY contemplated going to the Rhinebeck show last year.
Did you post a link to this thread on the CNY Sistas Chattin thread (or whatever it's called ... that's where a great deal of chatting happens)? Many folks love road trips!

I would be there and more than happy to help! I just mentioned this to Linda on Saturday! I brought 4 to Corning so I am sure I can double that number. Let me know what I can do!

October 4th in Easter NY :)
Hey everyone... I just wanted to let you all know we've set the date for the next one here...It's planned for October 4th here in Eastern NY... (Schenectady/ Albany area)... May be some of you could make that one.. Keep watching for all of the details. I've posted the date under the March 2008 Eastern NY get together thread.
Subscribing...my best friend lives in Rochester (I'm about 4 hours away, in Sullivan County) and, depending on the weekend, I might be able to make it!
Just a quick update to let you all know that we are, indeed, still working hard on this!! The possible location that I mentioned before looks like it's going to be a go!! It is a huge, open space with lots of windows!! I am waiting for the committee at the location to approve my request and have been told that approval should not be an issue. Here are the basic details. We have chosen a date of Saturday,September 20th, probably from 10 - 5. The location is just seconds away from a Michael's, a Joann's and an AC Moore. Keep watching as I'll be updating as soon as I receive the confirmation!!

Definately October now, NOT September???? In prior years we have done a gathering Syracuse around that time in October... so hope it doesn't conflict.

I would LOVE a gathering in Rochester. Then I wouldn't have to travel far and I have no excuse not to go! What is the location you were thinking of? It sounds like it's right in my neck of the woods!
