Was just thinking a bone folder might also be a handy thing to bring, I would put my name on it somewhere as I am sure they are all very similiar. See everyone soon! Linda
Am I the only one who feels like they're packing up to move? I keep thinking- oh, I might need that or oh, I think I'll need this! Stampin tree~ should we all bring our own eyelet setters or can we share yours :p , please? ;)
Ok, now I am in a panic. You all are packing up and I am still working on my card design. Thank goodness it is only 6 cards. I don't know that I am going to get it all done. For the technique demos is it ok just to watch. Not sure I am going to have time to go get all the supplies. I better find a big box to toss everything into, just in case I need it.

Sorry to just put that out there....My husband's job puts him on the disaster relief network and all the other head honchos are going to be away - they've got people vacationing, out west fire fighting and now a storm. SO...my hubby already said he is going to be tied up in his office most of the weekend. Not what I planned....I am so sorry. I'm not bailing....yet. AND BETH...I will call you today! I'm just putting out a heads up.
I am a very bummed out SCSer. My hubby called me this morning...he has already been on conference calls with state folks. He is one of the top folks this weekend, couple of the higher uppers are out of town....He is going to be late getting home tonight and basically in the office for the weekend. Last forecast is for Katrina to go east coast to west/out to gulf and bend back up to northwest/panhandle coast. His primary concern is his duty to be at the office to help with disaster prep/relief, etc. and he doesn't want me out driving in the nasty weather. I cannot ask my friend to keep the girls for the entire weekend and if the weather is going to get yucky here, they will be upset. SO.....I'm going to have to withdraw my attendance (said with tears welling up in eyes). I am so sorry, I know many of you did your swaps and I was going to demo and and and and *sniff* I feel REALLY REALLY bad. :(

*pulling self together* I will stamp in spirit - I will get a subway sandwich Saturday and pretend I'm with you gals. My kids will think I'm crazy, but what else is new. Y'all will have to post back here for me to read how wonderful it was - okay? I know there are two requests from the lady who isn't even gonna be there.
I'm so sorry Theresa!!!! If you will PM me your address, I will send you the baggie of the swap I'm doing. It will have all of the pieces and the picture. You may not have the stamps, but you can substitute!!!

I think I'll get a large piece of white poster board, replicate your avatar & have everyone stand next to it and take a picture.

for you if you like. I will try to do it anyway :-) so that if you have already got your stuff together for the waterfall card, just keep it packed and I will teach the technique I use for them. Hopefully Hurricane Katrina will pass by Florida without too much damage.

Man, there ain't nothin' like an SCS sister! Y'all just made my day! Thank you so much for the sincere niceness and thoughts. I could just cry! But I won't. So, for the SU swappers, I will make waterfall cards for all of you and send my modified instructions with it. OR - because y'all are being so nice...I'll send anybody that wants a waterfall card and instructions - PM your address. Maria - thank you so much for the offer. The card is EASY once you get all the pieces cut...but much easier when you are looking at one and the instructions. I just know Maria will do a great job. I feel bad, I didn't really think I would be a demonstrator and was very excited to be able to show y'all how I make WFCs and make new friends and meet "old" friends and I'm gonna get all mushy and teary eyed in a minute. Y'all are great. I'll be pouting on Saturday because I'm not with y'all, but I will be there in spirit.
I'm not worried too much about the actual storm, more that, well for instance....it is 10:00 pm right now and my husband is not home from work. It is going to be like that all weekend. Beth was so wonderful to offer her hubby as a sitter for my girls on Saturday....but I really can't take them out of school. I just know I'll need the days when the Perry Crud sets in. BUT my girls want to come up soon Beth! AND YESSSSSS! Y'all will have to schedule another gathering SOON! Just not during fire season and/or hurricane season. I think that leaves me Nov. Dec. Jan. and Feb! Thanks again for all of your well wishes and I'll still be hanging around here. I want y'all to post Sat. night, Sunday, etc. and tell me how wonderful it was! I will live vicariously thru the rest of you!
Well the list I gave was before I put the card together. The stamp set didn't work so I switch to All the Best and Lacender Lace was too light so I switched to Lovely Lilac.
Guess what ladies? Mrs. Procrastination finally came up with her swap last night at 10:30. But instead of cutting and getting everything ready, I'm ready this thread and watching my girls play. But hooray for Mindy for finally coming up with an idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I celebrated when I was done ) Can't wait to meet you all and hopefully I'll have everything I need for my card. I can't guarantee that I can pull myself away from the computer or my girls to really focus, but I'm going to give it my all.
