Is this going to work? Any suggestions? I really would like to make both some 6x6s & some cards but do you think it's too confusing? I'm afraid if we make one of each, the number of make & takes would be out of control.

I've never done a shoe box swap before, so I am not much help. Would it be better to swap the cards instead of do a make & take and those that want to do the 6 x 6 make and take can sign up to do that?
We now have the room from 9am to 5:30, just in case we need more time. We still have to factor in setting up & clean up in that time frame. We have the room for as long as the library is open that day.
Hello, ladies! You can confirm me for cards for a shoebox swap. I will be bringing the goodies to make full cards. I don't think that I would be interested in the 6x6 swap. I'm looking forward to the get together.
The Dirty Stamper Game is played like the game everyone plays at Christmas....you bring a nicely wrapped gift and put in in the center. Everyone draws numbers and gets to chose a gift in that order. You may chose a new unwrapped gift or you may steal a gift from someone else. #1 gets to chose again after everyone has gone. Usually a gift is frozen after it has been stolen 3 times. Last year we made all the gifts be stamp or scrap related with a value of $10-$15. You don't need to sign up for this....just bring a gift if you want to play. It makes a fun way to get to know each other; last year we played it at lunch & could do so again.
Speaking of lunch :p , it looks like we will be ordering in. Anyone who wants to share lunch can pitch in $10 to cover sodas & pizza. Again that can be decided that day~ if you prefer to brown bag it, feel free to! We can order in for those who want it. Papa John's should deliver, I'll double check about lunch delivery.
Dody, I'm still a bit confused about the full cards and 6x6's. Can/should we do just one or the other? If we don't do both, will we only be able make and take the same kind we bring (card or 6x6)? I would like to "swap" make and takes with everyone if possible.
Wilma, You're not the only one confused. I guess the best way to fix this is to bring whatever you want to swap. If you want to do both ; bring both. I know this will be a lot of "work" to do but let's try it that way. I think I'll stop taking names on Feb. 11 so we have a full month to make the swap and this should give us PLENTY of time to know who's doing which.
Also when you make your swap, make sure that you have everything needed for the whole project in a baggie with instructions. That way if we need to take some home to finish, we will know how to go about doing it. The whole idea behind this is to have FUN and not to be pressured to finish everything. It would be nice to have something to take home to play with anyhow. If needed we could always post cards on this thread later to help remember.
Does this sound better? Things work out so well in my head but by the time it comes out of my mouth.... well that's another story ;) lol!

Things seem to be coming together now Please keep checking page 1 #28 for updates & to make sure I have everything correct for you. You can still change your mind about adding or dropping a swap until Feb.11 ; after that we will stand firm so everyone can plan their swaps. I can't wait to see your art!
