Aww don't be nervous. You can ask anyone I am super shy in person. You can sit with me...we can stamp and just smile at each other every now and then, LOL.
:-D Thanks! I will do my best not to be too shy, but once I get to know you look out because I will talk your ear off. Thanks everyone, I can't wait to meet all of yall.
Ya know, I'm beginning to think there will be enough to do two groups. Any chance we could do something like that? Maybe find somewhere where we could share rent? Then we could get together at lunchtime!!

Wishfully thinking,

Not sure how that would work with having 2 groups going at the same time in the same place. Sounds like it could get very confusing. Anyone is very free to schedule another get together. I'm sorry that we can only have a limited number of people attend. I wish everyone could come, but they found out in Arlington with having 60 attendees that it got a little crazy trying to get all those swaps done. Even at Austin with having 45 to do, it got pretty tense sometimes trying to get everything done, and I know that I brought a couple home to finish.

Well, that sounds like good news, bad news. I hope you'll be able to attend the next one. I'm sure we'll do this again. Have a good time at your conference.

Sorry Dyu, do you want on the list or off? I thought since you said to disregard your first post that you didn't want on since you'll be going to that convention. LMK.

i think she means pm her if there is another to ensure she gets on the next list...
I've never been to a shoe box swap but I would love to come. Can anyone come? What do you do and how much does it cost?
Shellie - There is a limit of 45 people for the swap. Right now those spots are all taken but there is a waiting list for those who would like to come if some of the ones on the main list can't make it for whatever reason. I'd be glad to put you on the waiting list.
Just so you know, for this swap there are 45 people signed up. Each person will design a card and bring to the swap all the materials for each of the other 44 people to make her card including the cut c/s, stamps, ink pads, and any embellishments needed to finish the card. Each person should bring their own regular supplies - scissors, adhesive, stamping scrub and whatever else.
Cost hasn't been finally determined yet, but it is reasonable and affordable.

Oh, and don't be discouraged about being on the waiting list. At the last Tx Shoebox Swap, I think everyone on the waiting list ended up participating. As we get closer, things come up and people have to drop out.
I am so bummed, but I need to be moved to a maybe until I get our soccer schedules. My husband and I ended up having to coach both of our sons team this year because no other parent would step up on either team. So as soon as I get our schedules I will let you know. I sure hope both teams have a bye that week.

I'm show you as a maybe, but we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for you.

Here is the first part of the registration information. I can't add it to the list above, so hopefully everyone will see this. Basically, we have pretty much the same rules as the other Texas Gatherings. LovinTX is working on a map to the place we are holding the event, map to local hotels, and the place for dinner on Friday night. She will post those later this week.
We want everyone on the original 45 list to be committed and have their money in by August 31. If you find you can't come, please let us know ASAP so the next person on the waiting list will be able to be moved up. I'll keep track of those paid on the list above as I receive your money.
Any other questions, please let me know.
Okay, with Jenn's help I was able to edit Post #1 above to add the attachments up there. Hope everyone can find them now. They are in both places because I couldn't figure out how to delete them down on this post.

I am sorry to say that you will have to take my name off the list. I just can't swing it right now. Mamakimberly isn't stamping anymore so her name will come off too.
