Hey; We had a couple "quit smoking" challanges out there... ahem... anyone? I have prizes for quitters. It's not too late! Great day to quit; we will keep you busy!!!
I can try it, but no prizes for me, Sarah, as I might cave that night or the next day. :( Boy, lots of faith I have in myself, huh? LOL Seriously, I will give it a whirl tomorrow, but NO prizes if I go all day, k?

Um, could you also have a contest for the most well-behaved PMSer?? My guests coming tomorrow have already asked, "Are you going to be like this Saturday???" Waaahhhh!!!! I can't help it! But I'm trying. I really am. (I'm taking it all out on the kids first). KIDDING! I think the first signs that I may spontaneously combust will be the long tail that someone trips over and the friggin horns coming out of my head...which I predict will be quickly followed by my head spinning! LOL
Good thing there will be chocolate. Not sure how much that is going to help. But maybe if someone could bake some prozac-laden brownies...? I'd be ALL over those!
I had a nightmare last night about the Shoebox swap b/c I am sooo anxious (a PMS symptom). I dreamt I double-booked and was going to have a stamp camp b/c I somehow forgot about the shoebox swap (like that could happen!) and a herd of people showed up to my door for the stamp camp, but they never RSVPed and I didn't have a single piece of cs cut! I'm surprised I didn't have a stroke in my sleep! What's reassuring is that I am prepared for tomorrow, so this nightmare can't come true...for me, anyway. Yes, I am taking deep breaths.

Oh my gosh, you are making me laugh!!! It'll all be ok, and soon the PMS will be a distant memory! (plus, we're girls, we're tough, so we can take it, no matter how bad you get! ;) )
Well, I'd rather make more friends than enemies at this swap! But my friends are ready to give me the boot! I don't blame them, though. Hopefully, after some good sleep (and no nightmares!) I will be much nicer.

As I was getting my extra cards ready, my Basic Brown stamp pad self combusted into pieces and landed all over my pergo floor. My husband heard the crash, and some exclamations from me. Luckily I reached the 409 in time to get it off the floor and counter before it stayed forever.
In the process, I managed to cut my finger with the inkpad trying to put it back together.
Is there an award for the biggest clutz!!!
See you all in the morning (running on 1 1/2 hours of sleep, cuz I just got back from VEGAS!!
Oh goody -- I'm the biggest procrastinator! I just printed off my recipes and now have to write up and print the instructions. Then it's off to bed. See you bright and early tomorrow! Thank goodness I'm the coffe girl--I'll need it!
HA I thought I was going to get 6 hrs of sleep but when I set my alarm ahead to 730 (which is really 7a IRL) I set the clock ahead an hour too...so I'm up way earlier than I thought and i think instead of it being 2a, it might have been 1a when I got in bed....hmmmm, Maybe we should have a 20 min nap break?!?!

Wow!! So was that like a BLAST or what??!! It was just PERFECT! I'm really bummed I didn't get to meet anyone whose SCS name I recognized. I must have been in the "wrong" group. But I did get to meet seewah!!!! Who is just the sweetest and MADE me one of her adorable amuse candy key tag/chains!!! I am not worthy! I will cherish it ALWAYS! And when my friends and I saw the cool candy was in our goodie bags, we are just TOO excited to make our own!!
Thanks so much Sarah for being the fearless leader and doing this again...twice in 1 year!!! Wow! I so hope it's worth it for you. I'm sorry you didn't win a cuttlebug or the coveted stamps. "Maybe next year." Can't wait for the next one!!
With much gratitude

Well, I'm finally home after a full day of stamping. I had so much fun at our swap! I cannot believe I behaved like a total geek when I met Meg (WAXYO). Really, I'm not a crazy stalker. But oh man -- I have a picture with her and an autographed card punched chick! How cool is that?
I think we can all agree that Sarah did an absolutely brilliant job in organizing this event and being able to see all the star stampers was awesome!
And Shirley, if you're reading this, it was great to meet you. You totally made my day! Thank you so much! :-).
And thanks everyone who was there for making the whole day extra special and fun! The cards were beautiful and you were all amazing! Can't wait to see what Sarah has in store for us in Spetember!

Hi ladies!! Just got a message from Jackie, the one who was in the car accident. She is so touched by the generosity you all showed her! One of the Dorks e-mailed her and told her about all the goodies she had for her! She is going to be taking them to her soon.
She is hurting. And she is going for some tests to see what is going on. Pray for her please!!

OOps, that's not all I wanted to say, lol. I don't remember everyone's names, but Sarah, you are an incredible lady, and I can't thank you enough for all the hard work you put into this and for all the fun I had yesterday! All the star stampers, and others that helped get this organized..........you are all awesome! I don't know the names of half the people I met, but I enjoyed myself sooooo much, and loved meeting so many people!! This being my first swap EVAH, I will remember this day for a looooooooooooooooong time to come, and I can't wait to do it again.
I also agree with everybody!! Sarah, helpers & stampstars, you did a wonderful job. All the cards I got are great! Everyone I met was great! That dorky bunch sure was nice!!! When I grown up, I'd like to be a dork too! Can't wait for the next one!!
Sarah, Sarah, Sarah! you are awesome girl! My friends and I had such a great time last Saturday! I'm sad it's over :( Everything I saw was awesome! and those hand stamped gifts. WOW! Everyone did such a great job. It was so great to meet everyone and to see some old friends. I can't wait till the next one.
Hi ladies,
I had so much fun with you all yesterday.
I am looking for something that I don't know if exists or not. Yesterday I saw someone with these cute plastic sleeves that fit the cards perfectly on two rings. I would like to know where these came from. What I am truly looking for is a "page protector" to put in binders that has pockets that fit our cards 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. In my mind it would seem like you could find one with 4 pockets per page.
Somewhat in the same style of the ATC holders that SU has, but for card sizes.
Anyone know anything about either of these two things???
Thanks so much!
Julie (whoolie)
I agree with all you guys have said.....SARAH.....you and the rest did an awesome job planning and executing a fantabulous swap...I had a great time and had so much fun meeting all of you...Thanks for a fantastic day!!!
Thanks Sarah for a great time! This was my first shoebox swap and it was so much fun! Lots of cool cards to make! Can't wait to do it again!
The plastic sleeves I had were from the Target Dollar Spot awhile back. They are recipe card page protectors. I got the rings from Wal-Mart. They worked so well, now I wish I had bought more as I am out! I'm hoping Target will bring them back again as it seems some of the items return....
You can also find page protectors that hold 4 per page from Century Photo. They are the Polariod pages I think.
My goodie bag helpers; Tracy, suzette, diane, christine... Please email me your snail mail addresses... since you took your goodie bags early you missed out on some stuff. I will mail it to you! THANKS!
My sincere thanks for putting together such a fabulous (and organized) day for us! And another thank you to your right hand (Angie) and all the Starstampers! I had a wonderful time and met some really terrific people Saturday. Many thanks for the smiles, hugs and great stamping ideas everyone! (p.s. I need to join the travellin dorks - those girls are great!!!)

Deb!!! You and Debbie Gross were such a great help Saturday morning! Thanks for helping with the set-up, and hauling stuff from the garage to the library, and then collecting/distributing all the donated cards. Loved meeting you both. Thanks for all your help!
I would also like to add my thanks to Sarah and her helpers. This was my first shoebox swap and I was feeling somewhat nervous. I am not a fast cardmaker but did pretty good!!! Was able to make 39 cards! Now that I have done one, I will be better organized for the next one! I enjoyed meeting some of you. Wasn't too much time to chat. Thanks again and hope to attend the next one.
