Little rock, Arkansas stampers
I am also excited about meeting! Right now either Sept. 17th or 24th is clear for mefor a craft day. I will try to make sure with work early this week, but either way it wouldn't be a big deal!
I am going to try to get some trading cards started tomorrow! I can't wait!
I will be in Branson this weekend meeting several SCSrs! I am really lookin forward to it. I leave on Thur 8/11 and will be back late Sun 8/14. Didn't want anyone to think I am ignoring them if you post.
OK...what would everyone think about stamping your own nametag? Is that cheesy?? I just know that I'm really bad with names. It might be really fun to see some stamped nametags....it could get wild...ya know?
some people do not like wearing nametags......I don't know what do you think?
It might could have our name
Our splitcoast name
The town we are from

I like the name tag idea. What would we use for the tag? I was thinking of those round buttons with the pins on the back that some people use for photos of their kids.

It was so wonderful! I was so sad to say bye to everyone. Most of us have been swapping via SCS for the last year ... it really felt like we had known each other for years and years. I can barely talk tonight .. we did so much gabbing and laughing and eating and crafting! It was superb! I'll be sure to bring some of the projects with me on 8/27 to show off.
I'm heading to bed .. did the marthon drive from Branson and all over the state today ... I'll share more later.
BTW: I love the name tag idea! I vote use anything for our tags! I might use a large shipping tag for mine! LOL! (really ...)

I am glad you had so much fun! I was very productive while you were in Branson. I have already finished my ATC's for the 27th!!! This is VERY GOOD for me!! I just hope I have done enough. I have 18 done!
There is a VSN the night of the 27th, I have signed up AND put it on my calendar!!! Anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome too, Just let me know!

There are 12 signed up for lunch as of today. It is hard to say what the final count will be. You will need to check back and then make a few extra.
Let me start another list or two ... :p One for the stampers that believe they will be able to make the Sept. 17th craft day and another that believe they will be able to make the 24th. The decision on which day will be based on the largest number of people signing up for that day as well as an available place to host it.
For those of you attending lunch on August 27th, I re-read some of the posts and put you under the dates that I thought you had said would be best .. or in some of our cases .. I have us listed under both dates. My sister and friend Lisa both work at Children's hospital and work every other weekend.
Sept 17
KEagle (Kimberly)
PrideStampers (Holly)
Jennifer (Friend of Pridestampers from Fort Smith)
Carol (Friend of Pridestampers from Little Rock)
Lisa (Friend of Pridestampers from North Little Rock)
CindyLCook (Cindy)
Cpdenton (Christi)
JKinAK (Janice)
ARHawg (Darcy)
Mary in AR (Mary)
Sept 24
KEagle (Kimberly)
LisaAnn26 (Lisa) - Children's Hospital Employee (off this weekend)
Cockapoo51 (Debbie) - Children's Hospital Employee (off this weekend)
CindyLCook (Cindy)
Cpdenton (Christi)
JKinAK (Janice)
ARHawg (Darcy)
Mary in AR (Mary)
Jonita (Texas)
Please let me know if you need me to change which date you will be able to come and also for those of you who cannot make the lunch in August, but are wanting to craft in September.
I met someone last year at a weekend crop at the Fellowship Bible Church .. I know that she contacted me a few months ago asking about a SCS get together. However, I cannot remember her name. I know she arrived with Sandy King.
Whoever you are ... ;) ... I hope that you are already on the list!
How many other members are wearing their tees next weekend? I plan to bring my camera! Oh, can you remind me what time we are meeting?
See you there!

Are you here? Are you here? Sure wish we were meeting you on Saturday as well! I hope the move has gone as smooth as a move can go. And I hope your husband arrives safely on Saturday!
I will see you next month!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! Hope that it is a great one! As for the skipping thing, I already do it because I have to think for a little bit before I remember how old I really am!!!!
Shelly -
You know it would not bother me a bit for you to bring your kiddos. We are not crafting on Saturday ... just stuffing our faces and chatting. Just keep that in mind when you wake up on Saturday ... you are more than welcome to join us!

My dh will probably arrive on Sunday so I will have my kiddos this weekend.....BUT I will be at the next gathering
I am so excited to meet everyone and to have some "adult time"!!! with people that I have something in common with!!!!
Thanks Darcy! I am trying to settle in!! There are 300 boxes to go through and the end is not in sight but I do have most things to live on already in place!! It is my goal to have the house semi set up when my husband arrives - the garage will not be touched and it is FULL! BUT that is ok - we will have it all unpacked within a year like we always do!!!! hehehe I am excited about next month too

Shelley,
In a year!! Wow that is impressive! I say that since my parents and I moved into the current house 2 years ago and STILL have WAY TOO MANY BOXES that haven't been gone through!!! Many of those weren't unpacked at the other house either!
I know you all are saying then just throw it out!! But it is my mom's stuff and we can't without her knowing and killing us!! My SIL and I agreed that my mom has set us for life after she dies! (morbid huh) ;-) But seriously she has! We won't use 75% of the stuff she has in the boxes. I had a garage sale in April and was able to secretly get trid of 7-8 HUGE garbage bags of stuff in the attic!
If she goes on vacation next week (depends on if my dad has to have neck surgery) I might try to get through some more OLD boxes in the attic.
Ditto to what keagle said! If you want to bring the kiddos do!
hope to see you!
THANKS! I may do that - I had thought about dropping in and sayin hi. My kids are usually good but you never know and most moms get out of the house to be away from their kids and really don't want to hear other kids screaming (altho I have to say it is not so bad when it is not your child doing the screaming and acting out!!!) ANYWAY I may try to stop in and at least meet everyone as long as the kids are under control that day!! ;)
And about the boxes - it will take me a year to go through all of them but they probably will not all be emptied put in place for a while.
Chat with ya'll again soon!

I've been to Darci's house and I can vouch for her mom's packing or unpacking habit ;) !!
But it doesn't stop me from hanging out there!!
Shelley...at least stop by and we can snap a group picture for the splitcoast gallery!
I have moved about 31 times in my 34 years of life....so... I'm somewhat of a packing expert....and I still procrastinate at it...that's why when I moved into this last house I said....enough...I'm staying for awhile. But I still have the urge to move the furniture around every so often!
Ok...I think I'm on the thread hijack borderline...I better jump off! See how much we have to talk about and it's not even Saturday yet!!

I'll be able to drop by for at least a little bit on Saturday. I'll have Olivia (almost 2 years old) with me, so I don't know that she'll be able to hang out for the entire time without tearing the place apart. But I'll definitely be there for as long as she'll last!

I may be bringing my boys on Saturday, just depends on how they are behaving. It will give my DH time to himself to get some important projects done without the distractions. But they tend to act up in public, so I don't know how long we will be there, either. They will be shy and clingy at first because of all the strangers, but it won't take long for them to be up and running around. Gotta love the pre-K age!

Only 2 more days! Really looking forward to meeting everyone!

My plans for this saturday have been postponed . . . is there still room for one more at lunch?? I would love to get together with other Arkansas stampers! Are the plans still to meet at US Pizza in NLR from 1 -3?
I just called U.S. Pizza Co. @ McCain and we are down for 15-20 folks from 1:00 - 3:00. They do not take reservations, but they appreciated the heads up.
For everyone bring kiddos ... I will bring some scratch paper that we can spread out on the tables ... if you guys can throw some crayons in your purses .. then we should be good to go, right? I, having no children, have no idea if this is a good thing or bad! LOL!!!
Looking forward to meeting everyone. Hope there are several options to discuss about where to host the get together in September!
See you tomorrow,
Kimberly
