PLEASE COME! Yes, there will be room. I took a guess at 15-20. We can pull up another table at any time. It is a very laid back place.
Name Tag? Uh Oh. I forgot about that.
Let's make this a no stress day. ATC's? Made them .. bring them for trade. Name Tag? Made it .. bring it .. otherwise we can guess who we all are! I might have some large mailing lables and a sharpie .. we can improvise.
Come one come all .. let's just meet and greet and eat!

OH but I do not have trading cards or a name tag since I do not have my stuff unpacked yet.

Yippee! Only a few more hours!!!
Shelley wasn't your stampin stuff marked FRAGILE *MUST* be unpacked first??? ;-) That would be something that would get unpacked before I fell into bed the first night!!!
Can't wait to see you all! I don't know if I will be on here again before the get together tomorrow. I am supposed to be downtown for Easter Seals Rollin' on the River walk in the morning, then I have to water plants for my second job (bummer) then get a light bulb for the taillight in my car. Very BUSY day tomorrow!!
Good Night! Off to bed I go!

I had a great time this afternoon! I hope that everyone else did too! I am going through the list and trying to remember who said that they could come in September, but hadn't signed upon this forum. So I am putting the dates down below and please pm, email, or post which date is better for you all! Also what time frame is better. Personnally, I would like to do a mid to late morning to late afternoon timeframe thing. We will do which ever weekend the most people can attend! Let me know by oh let's say Sept. 2nd so that we all have enough time to make arrangements for our families. Also, let me know what you all would like to do at the Sept. get together! Shoebox swap has been mentioned as well as just bringing things we are personally working on. Thanks!

It was wonderful meeting everyone today! I am so looking forward to getting to know each of you better.
Darcy - Thank you very much for volunteering to hostess in September! Please let me know if there is anything I can to do to help. I am a great worker bee (think this is a quote from someone else!). I am also open to whatever the majority would like to do.
Lisa - special thanks to you for the delicious birthday cake! You will now forever be known as "The Sweet Lisa". LOL!!!
Hey, ladies! I had a great time today and as you all could probably tell, so did my two boys! Ugh, how embarrassing when they run around like that. My DH had fun, too, even though he only came in to get a bite to eat. But then, he's the type of person that can talk to absolutely anyone!
OK, I started a Little Rock SCS'rs album in my gallery. What I need is a little help with the photos. Since I didn't get everyone's names or I simply can't remember them, take a look and if you see yourself in any photos, pm me and let me know so I can put your name in the image description. For the kids' group photos, I remember the names, but I don't know if I have the spelling correct. Again, please help me out here so I can correct them. Oh, and if anyone knows the name of our waiter, let me know that, too!
For the get togethers in Sept, I am open to just about anything!
Janice
Oh, one more thing: for my photos I put LR SCS'rs in the keywords box to help others locate them.
I am just now making it home! I had a great time visiting with those I got to visit with!!! Thanks for the comments on the kids - I was very hesitant about bring mine but it did turn out just fine this time!
I can hardly wait until we all meet again! I am sure it will be a blast!!!!
I will get that list typed up in a few and get that out to everyone asap ;)
Lisa - thanks for the awesome cake I have to know where it was from Very YUMMY!
Kimberly - My son was asking who you were again on the way home - he was really glad that it was your birthday ;) hehehe
Janice - he was really glad to see that there were "Boys" there! He has been really missing his friends and that was a bonus for him!
Christi - Kaitlyn and Josh both wondered where Hailey was when we left Micheals - he thought you should be leaving with us!!
OK off to take care of the list!

I am going to have to check the pics out later! I just popped in over here since several emails came to me telling me that there were new posts! I am working on Virtual Stamp Night!!! Having a blast and making a GIGANTIC MESS!!!
;-)
It took me a while to figure out you could just type in her user name in the search block and she would just pop right up! See last time I used the search feature I clicked on the letter that the user name started with - now that feature is not there!

If the gallery is slow for you tonight don't worry it is because of Virtual Stamp Night uploads! They are EXTREMELY BUSY!!! It has taken me quite awhile to get things uploaded or even into my own gallery to see if they got there!
Thanks, Shelley for helping out with the link to my album. I tested searching for LR SCS and it worked great! Hmmm....... maybe a group name in the works?
Here's an idea: I would like to upload scans of the ATC's that I received at the luncheon yesterday into another album on my gallery, but I won't do this without the members' permission. If anyone would like for me to post a scan of their ATC, post here or pm me. I've done this in the past for a swap or two and some SCS'rs don't have the tools to post their own creations and loved seeing their work on the website.
Too bad we "can't" upload on Sunday, that's the best day for me to do so!
Janice -
I would really appreciate you scanning mine! I used to post all of the time .. and for some reason, I cannot get my images small enough to upload anymore. I'm sure it is some "idiot" thing I am doing. Thank you very much!
I thought I read somewhere ... that you can upload images on Sunday, they just will not be approved until Monday. I might be way off base on that one.
Looking forward to September!
Kimberly

They allow uploads on Sunday's till noon on the day after a VSN. I don't mind you uploading my ATC I actually have it on my computer to do so, just wanted to wait until after yesterday; then I forgot and was too busy uploading my VSN creations last night to remember. I am going to write it down on my to do board RIGHT NOW!! Then maybe I might remember to do it tomorrow!
Now I am going to go look at the photos! Oh I guess I should put that on the to do board too...upload LR SCS photos! ;)
It is after 11:00 Monday night here in AR and I just now got around to reading my emails. Ugh, what a busy two days! Sunday my husband's office burned (lost everything inside, including 200 of our own music CD's), so he had to go to work to survey the damage and begin an inventory. In the mean time, Zach came down with a cold and was on the couch most of the day. Then today both boys were home sick from school, I got off work later than expected so my DH ended up missing work today, then I had to get things started for my first day of class tomorrow. Whew! I'm tired. Oh, and on top of all that, our power kept turning off briefly around supper time (I'm blaming Katrina!) so I couldn't get on the computer to do anything for a few hours. But, that freed us up to play trains and Candy Land with the boys! Sure is nice to see them feeling better.
I probably won't be able to scan and upload images of the ATC's from our luncheon until this (3 day!!!) weekend. This will give everyone time to let me know who all wants me to include their card. So far I have permission from:
keagle
arhawg
pridestampers
Anyone else? Just let me know!
How's everyone enjoying this nice weather? Actually, as I sit here at my computer, I am really relishing the smell of the warm breeze coming in my window. Growing up in Indiana I loved going outside at night in the summer time just smelling the corn fields, looking at the stars and listening to the crickets. Couldn't do that in Alaska. When we did go home to visit I would get outside at night and soak it all in as often as I could.
OK, I'm going to shut up now! Sorry, ladies!
Sorry you are having a rough time Janice - I hope everything is starting to settle down now.
Feel free to include my TC in your scans . . . someday I am going to have to fight it out with our scanner so I can start a gallery.
I am enjoying the weather this morning - it was still storming when I went to bed last night. It is clear, clean and beautiful now . . . and much cooler. My thoughts are with the folks on the gulf . . . we are hundreds of miles from there but the wind and rain from the far outer bands of Katrina were enough to get me to take down the windchimes and to knock my plants off the porch. I can't even imagine what those people went through.

Okay gals! Just an update... As of right now (6:00 pm Tuesday) The date vote is tied. So if you can only come on one of the days you need to talk your friends into signing for that date! ;)
I know I have spoken (okay emailed) a few people who didn't even know about us! :o They are going to be checking this forum out and hopefully will be able to join us! EVERYONE is to vote for a date! not just the ones of us who met on Saturday!
I guess if we stayed tied then I might just have to do both dates ;) hmmm. Please let me know!!! Thank you to Shelley and Comeka for their dates and times.
Talk to you all soon!!
I guess I could swing by saying remove me from the 17th date ... but that wouldn't be fair. I would love for my sister, friend Lisa and friend Marlene to be able to join us (they are limited due to work schedules for the 17th), but we can't always have everything in life. LOL!
My sister and Lisa work every other weekend at Children's hospital. For those of you who cannot make it on the 24th, would the 25th (Sunday afternoon) work better for you? Of course, Darcy would have to be available that afternoon as well. ;) Just trying to make another suggested date.
The hospital folks are also off the weekend of Oct 8th. I know that is pushing it out further ....
Darcy - Any time is fine by me. I'm an early riser, so I help out any time. Thank you for volunteering!
OK, this is an updated list of atc cards for me to upload:
keagle
arhawg
pridestampers
howmanycats?
Anyone else? I will let you know when I have them uploaded.
The boys are doing well, back to their usual silly selves. My DH is doing well, too. He even came home from work early today. Guess it's hard to do anything when you don't have an office. He took our digital camera to work yesterday to take photos then came by my office to look at them on my boss's computer. Pretty bad damage, though some highlighters and a can of Pledge made it through the fire. Strange.
I would love for your sister and friends to be able to come too.....but I am thinking that Hollie might have something going on on the 24th - Hollie is that right??
I do not have a problem with Sunday afternoon either but Church sometimes takes up a huge portion of the day for some.
Again I think that a saturday time of 10 or 1 is great and a Sunday time of maybe 2...(if that becomes an option)

I have received some responses to the emails I have sent regarding a RAK list including addresses and birthdates....If you have not emailed me please do so and I will add you to the list.... If you did not receive an email please let me know as well ....
I will get that updated and sent out very soon - and I am still going to check into a Yahoo group but have not gotten to that yet (dh thinks we should actually unpack the rest of the boxes? :/ what is he thinking?? I would rather just move my table in and stamp or scrapbook....; )
OK I think that is all for now!
Have a great day!

Please do not worry about scheduling around me. If I can't make this one...I can make the next one!! There's never going to be a perfect time.
Maybe once we get going... we might could have a standing date...like every third saturday or every 2nd thursday evening...or something of that nature. That way we can plan our schedule around it.

Okay! Here is your next reminder! I will be posting a day and time tomorrow before 5pm. SO PLEASE let me know what would work for you!
I do know that Sundays tend to be a bit hectic, I go to early service and am out by 10:30 but then during the school year we have evening service at 5pm.
I will probably go ahead and say that the start time will be at 10:00 am! which ever weekend. I don't really care how long we go for! If we end up meeting on the 24th; we can go all the wayto 12am!! SInce Virtual Stamp Night is that night!!!!
Shelley
Thanks for the idea of a potluck, we might just do that. I actually picked up several 12 packs of COKE at Target this morning since they are 3 for $8 and Dr. P is $2.66 for a 12 pack. I will ponder what to have to eat later! Gotta get an exact date first ;)
As for your DH; haven't you unpacked enough boxes??? It is his turn now! All you need to unpack is your stamp/scrapbook stuff!!!
I actually am packing mine all up for my trip this weekend! Please pray that gas $$$ stay where they are if not go DOWN!!!! Otherwise this could be an EXPENSIVE trip! :( (and my room and board are provided!!)
Darcy ~ gosh I think you are right! I have taken a few days off of unpacking and I plan to take a few more .... I had an area in mind but that got shot down so I will try again for another place to set up my stuff!
I do hope and pray you have a safe trip and hopefully the gas prices will go back down...gosh this is getting crazy!
Let us know what you decide and we will plan accordingly!
Shelley

Did you realise that you are almost at a 1000 posts? That's a milestone!!
Yeah, I noticed I'm getting close. What amazes me is that photocropper became an SCS'r only one month behind me and look how many posts she has!!!!!!! I'll never catch up to her!
I will get that updated and sent out very soon - and I am still going to check into a Yahoo group but have not gotten to that yet (dh thinks we should actually unpack the rest of the boxes? :/ what is he thinking?? I would rather just move my table in and stamp or scrapbook....; )
Would you like me to set up a Yahoo Group? That would be an easy way to keep addresses, meeting, etc. organized. I would be more than happy to do the set up for a group . . . and because I live so far away, this will allow me to share some of the work. Also, I don't have little kids needing my attention, so this would be something I could do easily.
