Hey Jamie! I saw you were hoping to make it to Pigeon Forge- I want to go, but can't commit just yet. I'm hoping to get Robin to go too. We could ride over together....keeps me thinking!
You bet you can Christie, the more the merrier. I am probably going to get a cabin or condo since I can get it cheaper with this vacation club I am in, so if my mom backs out which she will probably do, will have a whole minivan to myself (minus my whole collection of stuff I will take), we may have to rent a u-haul for all of our stuff though, lol.
I am really hoping that I can make it up there on the 4th, please keep me updated and will try to heal really fast!!! My friend will be updating my family blog for me, so you can check out and see how I am doing. The link is in my siggy.
I checked your blog out last night- cool. I've started a facebook today- to keep up with my niece, but now I've found tons of old friends- I've been on there all day- I must go stamp now before my eyes start bugging out- lol!
Christie,
If you have specific details on the trip, if you would go ahead and PM me I would appreciate it. That way I can write eveything in my planner so can have something to make me recover a little sooner.
Julib just informed me about this get-together. (Thanks Juli!) Christie, can I still sign up? PM me for deets.

I am out of town at my sister's this weekend, but I will send my reservation as soon as I get home.
I would love, love, love to have BBQ. It is just not the same in GA and so we never get it here. I can have it another time on my trip if everyone else is against, but that has my vote.
Some of the women have asked me- is everyone planning on participating in the shoebox swap? I was under the impression we all were, but if are not, please let me know, so I can give everyone an accurate count. Thanks!
CandD is way ahead of me in preparation, but I am going to participate. I have the card prototype. Oh rats, I don't have a shoebox. Guess I'm going to have to buy a pair of shoes (I will rationally explain to my husband).

HAHAHA!!! Any box if fine, I don't want to disturb any households!!
Hey Ladies! Some of you have asked for clarification of the shoebox swap, so I'm going to try to clear up the majority of the questions.
First- anything goes. Your project can be a card, scrapbook page, or 3-D item. Feel free to think outside of the box, but please use SU! products as much as possible. If you do make a card, they should be full cards. You do not need to provide envelopes- we should all have plenty of those at home
Remember to bring whatever supplies you need to make your project, other than the tape as each woman should bring her own to take with her from station to station.
If there are more questions, please feel free to ask!
Each person designs and makes 1 card. Then they bring the "fixins" for the 40 other women to make that card (ink, stamp, card, paper bits).
Then we sit at tables, where there is someone else's shoe box in front of each lady. Then after making that card (say 10 minutes), everyone rotates around the table to a new shoebox until everyone has made one card from each of the other ladies' shoebox.
So, you leave with completed cards from the other 40 women's shoe box (or however many women sign up).
I'm soooo excited too. Is there anything I can do to help out ahead of time? I think I mentioned I'm bringing little paper bags for each station for bits of trash. I'll bring plain white paper too, for stamping off on.
