Hey Ladies! We wanted a bit of feedback on dinner Friday night. It is planned for 7pm (that is a guesstimate at this point - gotta solidify that with Jackie) on Friday evening. Please come if you can! Even if you are late - last time we stayed and talked for quite awhile. The more the merrier!!
But we wanted to know between two restaurants. We're not telling where, but can you vote on the style of cuisine you would prefer? THanks!
I voted for Italian (have lots of local options for Mexican, not so much for Italian), but I'm truly game for anything. I'm so looking forward to this!
It kinda depends on the restaurant. Some places have great Italian/Mexican food. Others are horrible.
Thanks So Much!
well of course we aren't picking junky places! We have two decent places in mind, just didn't know which way to go. I think I prefer Italian - just cause I don't do spicy.
When I say Italian/Mexican, don't think amazing authentic hole in the wall places. These are chains. They are decent, but we need a place that can hold us all.

Same here. We have mexican quite a bit at our ol' casa. Italian gets my vote. I'd be happy with either if it came down to it.
Since they are chains, I will definitely stick to my vote of Italian. Being of Mexican descent, I am not a huge fan of chain Mexican restaurants (unless it's Chuy's, of course!). But in the end it doesn't really matter because I am mostly going for the company, and not the food!
My group is coming from Austin (me, rshores, and huera90) and we are leaving Austin at 3 p.m. Even though Rae Anne (huera90) drives like a bat outta hell, do you think we'll make it there in time?
I'm a wierdo and voted for Mexican, but mostly b/c of my wacko food allergies. I'm allergic to eggs, raw veggies (no salad!) and MSG and most "nice" Italian restaurants use "real" pasta with eggs. But if it's a Brinker Restaurant, I'm safe...;)
I'm not positive I'll be able to go, but I like both kinds of food so either one is fine with me (unless it's Johnny Carrino's - I've only eaten there once and got the worst migraine, which sucks as I love Italian!).
I too have food allergies, but not as bad as Shannan's. You poor girl you're like my mom on food allergies! Helping mom to order when we were in Italy years ago was an interesting adventure (she's allergic to cheese, any fungus, wine, peppers, onions, eggs, some citrus (including tomatoes), and more! I think she'd be crushed if she couldn't eat raw veggies as she loves salad). Of course, I'm allergic (but only mildly) to just about everything that lives (grass, trees, animals, you name it) so I feel your pain! And, I'm perfectly fine with whatever works for the rest of y'all!

OMGosh!! Allergic to raw veggies?!! How sad!
Refresh me on what places are in the Brinker Corp. chain. The mexican place is NOT a chain-local and really good. Not sure of the corp. owner on the Italian.

I don't know what traffic going north on 35 is like, I just know going south is a drag!!!! You can pm me or Emily for our cell phone numbers in case you are running late.

I voted Mexican but am fine with Italian too. Carole, hate to say it but OK Mex isn't TX Mex! Can't wait to meet up with all you ladies--8 days and counting down. Now I'm getting heebeegeebees that the card stinks! Oh well, deal with it.

P.S. I'm really not as high maintenance as it sounds, usually I can get a place to put a piece of plain chicken on the grill if there's nothing else. Mex. and Italian are 2 of my faves so I think we'll be good! ;)
