Interested in coming:
This sounds like TONS of FUN!! Although, I can't commit just yet. Hubby travels alot and I probably can't confirm till January. Will be watching this thread !!
I am interested in Feb 9 only and won't be able to stay (can I just come for the day?). Okemos is great. I would sign up for the shoebox swap and can lend a stamp set for the day.
I would love it if you could put me down as comming. I would love to have my 17 year old daughter come along but not sure. I've asked my upline, she sent me the info first (I'm directions challenged). What time can we get started on Friday? We live in South Haven. I'm interested in the shoe box swap and regular swapping. I don't think I better "challenge" myself with anything else!
Please put me down as comming, hopfully I can get my upline to come along.
I live in Lapeer and would love to come. I should be able to come both days as I am officially retired as of 02-01-07. YEAH!!! Please email me with an address to send the check.

Sounds like fun!
I'm interested but let me double check the dates to be sure they work for everyone here. :-)
It sure would be fun to meet all of you IRL!
Rubber Hugs,
Renee V.

OK, I am now a "for sure", as well as at least three of my gals. I'm hoping for a couple more of them, but don't know for sure yet!

One more thing...for the ladies in the Lansing area...would you be willing to approach Okemos businesses to request donations for prizes? For example...Applebee's donates $15 gift card and in return receives a mention from us and hopefully some extra business from us during the weekend.
I think I am going out today to buy a digital camera so as long as that goes smoothlyI will take some pics.
And I've got a real challenge in the works so I'll be getting with you soon to give you the colors etc. Remember how when Heidi did this some of the challenges you add your own accessories/embellishments? I think mine needs to be like that. It is going to be difficult enough for some, but maybe ya'll will prove me wrong
Visit to Photos to Scrapbooks is a MUST for anyone coming from out of town. It's the most wonderful store and can't be missed. They would be a good one to contact for a donation/door prize. They might even be willing to host a special make-n-take for various groups throughout the day.
I would be interested in coming, but need to check my schedule for that weekend. I wouldn't need to stay overnight, because I live about 1/2 hour from the hotel. Never been to one of these before, and it sounds fun!
You can add two more next to my name - yippee!
I'm bringing my gals the information tonight, so you should see their registrations coming in your mail soon

This sounds like fun! I'm definately interested, but it's hard to say right now if the date will end up working out for me. I'll keep a watch on this thread so I won't miss out on the deadline. I know a few others who might want to come as well.

You can add me to the list for both days - sounds like a lot of fun! Also, please add 3 with me, Kprakken and also another of my downline and a stampin' buddy - so that makes 4 of us probably - will send registration as everyone double-checks their calendars for the dates.
Claudia
Okay, I'm really interested now! I just have to get my work schedule changed for Feb. 9, and when I do I'll mail the $25. I also have a friend that wants to join me, and we'll be getting a hotel room together. Her name is Laurie Thelen, and I'll mail her money with mine. Thanks Deb for the help! Jennifer Burnham
I loved the local regional as well and this sounds like loads of fun. Count me in and I can help with photography as well. Thanks, Tracy Smith - Lapeer, Michigan, [email protected]
Hi Dani! Well I actually grew up in Harrison Twp....lived in the shores for about 4 years (harper & masonic) and now we bought a house at 16 and Harper. Hey, have you been to this SCS get together before????
I haven't been to the first get together they are talking about, but I went to a different one last year and I went to an SCS gathering in Salt Lake City last year, 2005 when I went to convention, and had a great time.
I grew up at 15 and Harper, Shook and Union Lake, and went to school at Tenniswood.
I hope I can make it to this one. I have to wait a little while to see how my schedule is going to look closer to February.
That's too funny, cause my son goes to Tenniswood. So did you go to L'anse Creuse high school. That's where I went and graduated in 92.......Just was wondering.....maybe we know eachother??? What a small world!
Plans are coming together! But I *need* your registration this month...I'd like to reserve a really big room, but won't be able to without additional registrations.
I have made 12/31 the deadline, but if you can get yours in sooner that would be helpful (and it won't get lost in the Christmas rush!). I hope each one of you that indicated interest can come!
--Debbie
p.s. Any who wish to put together a challenge should pm your supply list to me by 12/31 also. I intend to purchase supplies out of registration fees, and the leftovers will be a nice prize for each challenge winner!
This is going to sound wishy-washy perhaps, but I would vote "predominantly" Stampin' Up. In other words, 90% roughly or more Stampin' Up, but no problem if a different brad, piece of trim, button, etc., was used.
Ladies who are registered, what is your opinion? Please weigh in.

I'm ok with some other stuff for the shoebox swaps. The challenges will use whatever is provided, most likely SU, and some you may be able to add your own embelishments. So if those are non-SU, that is up to you. Did you want to design a non-SU challenge Linda?

Nope, just asking. Believe me, I can make a challenge/shoebox swap using SU stamps!!! Haha!!! Wasn't sure about embellishments, etc. What's everyone's feelings about retired sets? I personally wouldn't mind a card that uses say a retired background or retired phrases.
What if we do SU stamps (current or retired), SU cardstock, and any embellishments? I think it would be best if this applied across the board...way too confusing to have different rules for swap, shoebox swap, and challenges.
Just my 2 cents...I'm open to doing it a different way.
