I think she's all the way on the west side. Okemos is in the middle. She's getting lake effect snow!
A southern suburb of Grand Rapids. We actually get worse lake effect snow here than they do on the lakeshore a lot of time. It's finally stopped snowing tonight. Schools are still closed though, I think mainly because of the very bitter cold. Currently my thermometer says -8, and of course much worse with wind chill.
Good news is looks like the worst weather is behind us. Just saw the weekend forecast and Friday is only calling for light flurries, so I can't imagine it will prevent me from getting there! In fact, I'm so burned out from working non-stop that I'm planning on only working a few hours in the morning and getting there right at check-in time!

I'll cut an extra if you wanted to do mine. YOu may end up with a different colored brad though as I think I used the last one for the # that was posted. So, at least you can do mine and Lorien's! In exchange I want one stipple free grab at the spring mini sets!
I'll have some extra too. Don't know about my people though... I'll send them an email, but a couple are already grumpy about changing their cardfronts to full cards:rolleyes:

I'm gonna call SU today. I don't want my stuff sitting on a loading dock somewhere. I need some of it for a workshop next week and stamp camp the following week.
Go check the tracking again Heidi! Mine is finally in the system and scheduled to arrive on the 9th!!!! I think I have to take a vacation day to get all my stuff together so I'll be ready to leave at 4:00 with Crystal.
I am going to make a shoebox just for anyone who has an extra for me. Anything left is no big deal. . .I will just make them myself. I am happy to share any non-consumable supplies with y'all As long as you share with me! Bring the goods!

I have my first real workshop on Sunday (I have had several stamp camps/stamp a stacks) and I am kinda lost as to what to do! There is so much! I know you can't do it all at a workshop (and that is a good thing!) but I can't figure out what to do! I watched the DVD, but I am still really worried that I am going to screw this up. . .
I have only been to one workshop ever, and that was mine in Feb of '06. My upline had one a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't really think about asking to go. I am so bummed I didn't go! I need a little help. Any advice would be appreciated. Maybe someone would be willing to talk about it this weekend. Just keep that in mind maybe, and any help you can provide would be welcome.

Robin, just keep it way simple...easier than you think. Especially if there are new stampers. Get yourself super prepared and then enjoy...your enthusiasm will be contagious. SAB is a great time..they will be thrilled with free stamps.

I will bring my Cuttlebug and accesories!!! Its so fun to play with. Oh I completely forgot about bringing stamps to trade with people. I will bring some of those too. Im so excited.
Hey are any of you going to the one day event "Super Stampin' Seminar VIII" in Lapeer that is put on by a lady named Jan Jacobs? It's March 10th, and it's open to all SU demo's.
I probably missed this in an early note, but haven't been able to locate it, so I'm going to go ahead and ask anyway.
Do we need to have instructions printed for the shoebox swap?
Also do we need recipes for either the card swap or shoebox swap?
I've also made extras for both swaps, because you can never have too many swaps!

I'm one of those people that hate doing recipes so I'm saying no. For the shoebox swap I plan to have my sample card and if there is anything that needs explaination then I will have directions for that part, but I would guess that most of it you would be able to tell by looking at the sample.

I went to Jan's event last year and it was good. This year I have a stamp camp on the same day so I can't make it.

Mine is scheduled for delivery on Friday also, unfortunately my UPS comes at like 7PM :(
So I called UPS and asked if I could pick the package up instead - which they said I can if I call the night before and let them know

I didn't figure I should talk to dh about it since I was getting away this weekend. Of course it is closer than Lansing, but I wanted an event I had an excuse to stay overnight at! So, I won't be there.
Thank you Ladies, for all your advice on workshops! I am going to try and plan my cards at the crop, so I will show you what I have and you can tell me if I am crazy or if it will work.
Heidi, great idea to call UPS! So glad they will let you pick up your stuff!!!! Anyone going to have Office Accoutrement? I got the paper, but not the set. . .I am hoping to get that free. Also, Doodle that. . . I got This, but not That Here's hoping!
I will bring some sets to trade/retireds to sell, but I don't have much. Any interest in non SU! items to trade/sell? I do have some non SU stuff that I am not using anymore. LMK what you think. . .
Also, I am not doing a recipe, so I hope that isn't expected. I did finish my card swap today!!! I am hoping the shoebox will be finished by tonight, but pro'lly will be tomorrow.

I mailed my demo app last week, and just got my demo number! I'm so excited, but also a little nervous about meeting the $300 each quarter. My starter kit hasn't been mailed yet, so I have only seen the card samples on SCS for the spring mini. But I'm excited to order from it later this month! I hope everyone has a safe drive this weekend.

Congrats! I know what you mean about the minimums. If end up staying home I'm not sure I'll be able to stay active. I'm my best customer, ya know!

Oh no, I just realized I made 16 shoebox swaps and 23 regular swaps. What a dork!!! Can I substitute the patterned paper to something similar since I used all I had and it from SU! Here I think Im all organized, and I messed it up.

What paper do you need? I may be able to bring it for you. I probably have at least a pack of each SU paper. I will be there shortly after 4 on Friday if you want to cut on Friday night. (I'm also my best customer!)
