Yippee! I'll come! I've never done a shoebox swap but I'm looking forward to my first one; Thanks Sarah; I'll forward the PM to my SIL to see if she can come too.

I *hope* I will have sent out my Holiday Cards by Dec. 9th, but you never know! I think by then, we will be on to New Year's, Valentine's Day, Super Bowl, or even Spring?!
I just became a demo haven't got my stuff yet. I live not far from Keene and would love to meet more stampin people. I will also mention it to the my upline and her other downlines. As they do not live to far from Keene either. I am so glad I joined splitcoast stampers you all are so talented. So count me in.

Yeah! Congrats on becoming a demo! It is so much fun! I will add you to the list...
BTW, I am going to start calling around tomorrow to find us a great place for our gathering! As soon as the baby goes down for her nap, I'm on the phone!

Let me know if you need me to scout anything/anyplace out here in Keene!
Since I've never participated in a shoebox swap, (I'm not the only one, right?!), I need a little more detail! I understand that we design a card, cut all the pieces so that there will be everything needed for each person at the swap to make my card, put it all in a shoebox for the event, but, what about the stamping??!! Say if it has a Floral background layer, do I stamp those, or bring the stamp and ink for everyone to use? If it calls for a slit punch, do I bring that or punch them all at home? Does everyone brings their own adhesive? Thanks in advance for your help! Kathy

You would bring the stamps, ink, and punches--everything that you need to get the cards done, except adhesive (and usually everyone also brings scissors.)
I want to come, but it is my weekend to work, bummer. I will see if someone can trade with me, but trades are hard to come by that close to christmas. Definetly would like to participate if you do so again. And if you ever wanted to have an event in Manchester, NH, i can get my church basement area for I believe 50$. Kim
That would be awesome! I started looking yesterday (first day o' school!!) but 2 people on the job would be great!!! I'm hoping to find a place that is free or nearly free and can accomodate around 25-30 people...tables and chairs are definately needed.
Thanks so much!

The Keene Library charges $10./hr for the meeting room on Saturday's...
However, Brattleboro, VT library (about 20 minutes west of Keene) is free.
So, would you guys rather stay in the Keene area or would you be willing to go the extra (or fewer...depending on which direction you are coming from!) miles to Brattleboro. If we decide on Brattleboro, that's like $60 more to spend on FOOD! or whatever else we decide on...
So, it's up to you ladies...I will make reservations at either site depending on your answers. I'll make them on Wed. 9/6 using the majority vote.
My vote is Brattleboro because of all of your reasons above! Would we have a specific time that we would have to be done by if we went to Brattleboro....cause if not I think that's reason enough....rather than rushing through everything?!
I went to an all day stamping class in June at the Grace United Methodist Church in Keene. There were over 70 ladies at this event so there would be lots of room. I am not sure what the rental rate is.
There are a few churches that will rent rooms in my area so you might try a few local churches. You could also call the college to see if they rent a room for the day.
I would prefer Keene area since that is already an hour north from my house.
I sent mail to my team to see if someone will join me for this shoe box swap. I hope I will not have to drive alone.
