Would anyone be intersted in getting together for a day filled with stamping and scrapping after summer is over and the kids are back in school?
I am putting out feelers to see how much interest there would be for something like this in our area. I all ready have about 15 people that are interested.
My thought is that we would get a hall at a hotel in the Appleton area, there would be shoe box swaps, and door prizes, etc...
I was thinking the end of September for a date, but once I see that there is enough interest I will call for a hall and get all the details published.
So if you think this is something that would interest you and your friends...let me know
It would be a fun girls day/night out!!!

I am not in Northeast WI, but my sister lives in Appleton and if the date works I'd like to know more about it! I am in SE WI! I have another SCS friend who is from Appleton and has family there, too! Keep us posted! Sounds FUN!
I'm in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, but my sister lives in DePere, Wisconsin, and I'm originally from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, so Appleton would be very doable for me. It would all depend on the date.
Mandy, I would LOVE something like that...I know Sairabee lives in Oshkosh, and we decided we didn't want to drive all the way to Wausau for the get together!! Appleton is a MUCH better choice!

I'm in!! I might have a friend who would be interested as well... Again it all depends on the date. The only (how sad is that?) Saturday I have open in September is the 10th. Otherwise October is wide open!
Hey Sara - Mandy and I were chatting about a trip to the stamp store and the Olive Garden after school starts again... I told her you might be interested. I know you HATE the Olive Garden ;) but maybe you could put up with it just that once.... hehehehe. I know. It's torture.

Oh GEEZ! I was just AT the stamp store and spent WAAYYY too much money!! I wish I would have know that...I could have paced myself!! LOL

I think my DH would have to respectfully disagree with you!! LOL After being in Door County with a girlfriend for the weekend and going to a Pampered Chef party tonight, I might be in some hot water if I spend MORE $$ on stamps!!

Mandy, you never told me you were an INSIDER at the OG!! Hello! I always tell my dh that I will totally get a job there if they ever open one in Oshkosh just so I can get a discount on the food. hee hee.
As for the dates... I think October 15th is the Northwoods gathering.. Do you think anyone would be wanting to do both? If so you might want to go with one of the other days.
And Saturdays are preferred for me... Sunday the 2nd (the game is Monday night that week) or 16th (bye week) would work though. Hey! I have priorities! ;)
I can't do the 22nd, b/c my DH is leaving for Colorado a few days before that and I am NOT bringing my kiddos with!! Any of the other days would work fine, though!!
Saturdays also work best for me, just because of church and Packers on Sunday!!
Hello all! I would be interested in joining you. I am in Kenosha but my family and the in-laws are all in Appleton so I am up there often. I will keep watching for a date and more details. Sounds like fun!
Does any one have a preference on whether it's at a hotel or at a community center?
I have a call into the Town of Menasha community center, I am just waiting to see if there is availability on the Saturday we are looking at...right now we are aiming for Saturday October 8th.
The communtiy center is very nice, our family has had several functions there. It has a full kitchen. The room with the kitchen can accomodate up to 100 people and the 'activity' room can accomodate up to 120.
It is about 1 mile off of highway 441, and is easy to find.
I am going to continue to looking at other locations, if anyone has any suggestions...please let me know.
Someone asked for a price earlier... I am aiming for $20 per person and that would include lunch, lots of prizes and fun!!!!
