I can't believe you had the strength to post this tonight, mamak!!! ;)
Thank you for letting me crash your party for a few hours while my dh ran an errand for his hobby. It was really good to meet the personalities and voices that go with so many people on here!!!
I really wish that I could have made a full day of it, but I was happy to get what little bit of a fix that I got!!!
It really was incredibly organized and there were soooooooo many cool cards being made!!
Thanks again...now get some rest!! lol!!

oh my gosh that was so so fun!!! I chatted with so many of you and it was awesome! I did get told at least 5 times that people expected me to be taller! Dude, I said I was 5'1, lol~
Anyway, my whole body is sore from all that hunching over and we made some gorgeous cards!!! Can we get a spot in the get together gallery or something for the texas cards?? Pretty please?? I still dont' know who made some of mine!
Oh and here is a pic of just the food (just snacks!! we also had sandwiches and pizza) and the door prize table!
Thanks...I think...what did you think I looked like? A troll??? ;)
Of course, you look EXACTLY like your pictures I've seen on here--so does Emily!! But I had a feeling that you would remind me of one of my college buddies--and I was RIGHT!!! She's special, too...

I don't know what I thought you looked like. For some reason, I thought you had said once that you struggled with your weight or something, and you are quite thin, so I was really surprised.
Do I sound like a jerk for saying that? You're supercute!

No, you sound very sweet to me!!!! I have slimmed down a little since becoming pregnant, but I also lost about 10-15 lbs before I got pregnant, so I probably did say something to that effect. I haven't thought of myself as "quite thin" in MANY years, so right now, you're my best friend!!!

I must say it was quite an experience! I don't even want to LOOK at another stamp set for weeks! LOL Lots of awesome cards, lots of awesome ladies!
Thanks MamaK and Emily for putting this all together, and to Cynthia for planning last night's dinner! I had a ball! I won't be in a hurry to do it again, but it was fun!

Ok, everyone come to LI now.....I'll host!!!!!!! PLEEEEEASE!
Dude, you should have come with Cyn....she came from New York. Wowzers we had so much fun talking, stamping.....but mostly talking! Mamak worked really hard on a schedule so that everyone would move to new tables every 30 min and you would get to sit with at least 44 different people. Way fun! Maximum meetage going on!
Obviously mamak does not have little boys though, she could not yell loud enough. I had to take over that part, lol! Although I think sometimes people wanted to kill me and the kitchen timer that was beeping! Or maybe kill me with the kitchen timer!

Oh she'll love that, but I was the one with the timer!
But miss Aubrey (Montigg) is getting some kind of special prize....a bronzed sponge or something! She worked that scrubber and got the dropped ink pad stain off of that floor in no time!!

Not look at another stamp set?!?! What! I have someone in the area's swap and it used the tag punch, which I don't have! She said I can use it until Monday when she picks it up so I gotta get to work, lol!
Hey, Emily, seriously, if you want to keep the punch for a while I can come get it later in the week. Thanks to both you and Kim for all the hard work you did planning yesterday's event. I had a great time and it was so fun meeting meeting all the people I've been stalking on the forums. ;) Thanks also for picking up all my swap stuff. I hated to have to leave early but our school got 6th place in the competition so it was nice to be able to see them play in the finals.

That's awesome! Glad you got to do both things then!! I was totally kidding about the punch, I mean....I will surely try it out, but you feel free to come get your things whenever you want to!
Here's a link to the gallery where the pics are and if you brought a swap card, please upload it here!!! If you can't upload, contact me or StamperSharon to get it taken care of! I wanna know who designed all these lovely cards!!!
Thanks...I think...what did you think I looked like? A troll??? ;)

Yeah, I wish everyone had their picture in the avatars because it was hard to figure out who some people were. Everyone said I looked like my avatar, except for thinking I was taller!! lol!
Well, I hope I don't look anything like my avatar. But you won't forget me, I'm certain .
Again, thanks for all of your hard work ladies. It truly was fun but tiring. I sat in the hotel last night just staring at all the beautiful cards. How awesome.... Jenn missed out :P
OMG!!! I had soooooo much fun and cannot wait until the next one. On the way home, I looked at the cards and determined which layouts, techniques, and folds I was going to do first! I can't wait to try out all the ideas with other stamp sets!
I loved how Kimberly "mixed it up" so that we could meet so many different people. I had a great time chatting with Katydidn't, Gamblemom, Montigg, Emily, Kimberly, Missy, Granny Hawkins, Texasgrammy, Tasha, and so many more!
Thank you so much Kimberly and Emily for putting this together!
Can we do a retake on that group picture?? I look like as wide as a linebacker. My hb said if there is ever a SCS football team, I have a position already.
I'm the one in the middle where the 2 trees are right next to each other.I'm right in front of the tree on your left. I got brown hair, a white shirt with vertical pink, red and brown stripes. The ladies to my left and right have black shirts on.
I'm really not that wide. Somebody please remind me next time to stand sideways.;) Now you know why my avatar is not of me...

Girl, you ain't the only one who is lookin' like a linebacker. I am not brave enough to "out" myself in this picture, however. Let's blame it on the camera! In order to fit us all in, it must have stretched us all horizontally. I swear!!! Even some of the skinny minnies in the group look bigger in this picture!
Okay, first.... my apologies for the potential of messing everyone's names up with their pictures. I'm trying hard to put names to pictures before I forget everything (that whole memory-loss pregnancy issue ). I'm truly sorry if I don't remember your names. I'm just not good at that. :(
Anyway, PLEASE help me fill in the names.
North Texas Group Picture 10/1/05: First row (L to R): Kim Orr (Kim), Afancycat (Julie), Granny Hawkins (Connie), Spicygingersnap (Linda), tc82742 (Tasha), Jess_Witty (Jessica), JJBrooks (Julie), TexasLonghorns (Geeta), MamaKimberly (Kimberly), Emilymomto3boys (Emily), abcima (Bonnie), pfamilygal (Tamara), TexasJodyLynn (Jody), duffgirl (Milette)
Second row (L to R): MonTigg (Aubrey), stampinsandyh (Sandy), ?, miss missy (Missy), rshores (Rebecca), sjames (Sharon), ?

LOL, that was totally me! I had Emily pictured at 6 ft. tall...LOL! Must be the doo in your avatar, it makes you look taller.
It was really great to meet so many of the SCS gals and to make all the really fun and cool cards. Despite being really tired, I had a great time. Kimberly and Emily did a fantastic job of organizing and planning this get togther. Thanks,
Sharon

It must have been the camera! I look like an absolute cow in the pic, and I'm NOT a big person! DH even looked at it and said I looked fat!
