I would like to be on a waiting list. I just could not commit that far in advance...without knowing exactly when my DH would deploy. I really, really, want to come, but just felt it better to wait it out. Will you have a waiting list? Sniff! Sniff:( :( Whaaaaa! Sigh!
Now, I need to decide how much weight to lose between now and October! LOL

Can the door prizes be things other than Stamping things? I have excess Princess House Crystal that I could bring and my friend has loads of Southern Living things.

Wondered same thing! Also the 60 shoebox swaps are full cards so we can actually use them? I going to place my order early July for everything so I wanna get an idea of how much supplies I need.
yep, the consensus was people wanted fulll cards, not card fronts. So 60 full cards!!!
Oh, and no, you don't have to bring it in an actual shoe box. The idea is just that the stuff you bring would fit in a shoe box or something like that.
One Texas SlowPoke checkin' in!!! Sorry, I'm slackin' on the sending in of things right now... my 9 yr old DD broke her jaw and I've been busy with her at home plus still trying to get in 40hrs a week at work... I will put the $$$ & registration form in the mail today! Promise!!!
If we can get an idea of how many hotel rooms we will need total then we can see if we qualify for a group discount. With 10 rooms we would qualify for the group rate at La Quinta which is $84 + taxes. MamaK said that we might find another hotel in the area for cheaper, but we first need to see what kind of numbers we are talking here.
Please post on this thread if you need a room, in your post please indicate if you are looking to share a room. People looking to share will be counted as half a room.
I will keep a list on this post of people who will be needing rooms. I hope it will make it easier for people to match up. If you want to let me know once you have paired up with somebody I can show that too so people will know who is still looking to share.
FYI - Once I have an idea of the number of rooms we need I will call some other hotels that MamaK has suggested to see if we can beat the $84 rate. I am a bargain shopper by nature, so I will do my best to find the best deal and still meet all of our needs.

So, why is this event not listed on the scs calendar yet? Perhaps this answer is somewhere in the several pages that are posted....haven't read it all. Anyway, I want to volunteer to help in any way possible....just let me know if I can help. I will be quick to sign up next time whether anyone else that I personally know wants to go or not!!
Okay, ya'll are scaring me, I haven't even thought about the swap part of the night! LOL. I have never done a swap and have no idea what to do yet. guess I should try and work on it.
