I was thinking of putting together a Northeast Florida get together in Jacksonville and was wondering if there would be enough interest. I was thinking of doing a shoebox swap and maybe lunch. Who would be interested? Post here and I will keep everyone up to date.
I haven't thought of any dates yet...just seeing what the response is so far. I am so glad that there are 3 of you now...that makes 4.
Let me just ask...are nights better for you or days? Which days? I was thinking maybe a Friday night or Saturday but wanted to see what everyone thought.
Also, would you be opposed to meeting in a church?
I do work during the week, so a Fri night or Sat would be best for me. I think a church or school would be a fantastic place to meet so we could all spread out.
There's a few of us who will need to be told exactly what to do - I've never participated in a shoebox either. Hey, anything that combines paper crafting AND shoes has to be winner, right?? :p

I would love to join in. I probably could round up a few of my friends or downline to join in too. My sister went to one in Virginia Beach and had a blast. I am not opposed to having it at a church. Libraries also have conference rooms that are usable. Sat. would be the best for me.
I just had a thought...I am not a demo so I hope that won't be a problem. I am just a stamper looking for some stamping friends...maybe wanting to make this a somewhat regular gettogether later down the road. Does that make any difference to anyone?
So, it definitely seems we have some interest so let me look at some dates and I will post some ideas later this week. This will be exciting. I will also post a couple of location ideas and we will see what we can come up with :-)
This is a fun swap to create a lot of cards in a short time but only have to come up with one great idea of your own! Prior to the day, you will need to create a card and bring all the supplies needed for each participant to create the card. The number all depends on how many people we get to sign up. I will let you know a month ahead of time. These cards should not take more than 10-15 minutes to complete. I definitely do not want to discourage challenging cards or cards showcasing “new” techniques. However, if your card is intricate and fancy you may want to pre-stamp or pre-assemble some items for the other stampers. You will need to make a completed sample of your card so everyone can see what the card is supposed to look like. Then each person will be able to complete your card and take home a variety of cards.
Where in Jacksonville are you planning this event? I am in Orlando but wouldnt mind driving if we have enough interest.... LMK the details when you have them....
Count me in, please! Thanks for the details, because I didn't have a clue! A church is fine. Also I don't have any SU products...in fact I've never seen a catolog...yeah I know I'm living under a rock!
After looking around this board I NEED to find a demo!!

I am in beaufort sc and I might be able to make it. What dates are you thinking about? I am going to the Carolina Girls one on April 26. Shoe box swaps are alot of fun!!! Name tag contest are fun also!!
We've had a couploe of swaps down here in Melbourne (and another is scheduled) and they were a lot of fun! Even if you only get a few folks to participate, you should still do it!
Did you have a swap? I too am in Jacksonville and am new to SCS, but have loved paper all my life and would enjoy meeting the great talent face to face and have some fun.
