Hi stampin72 and welcome to northeast OH. Looking forward to meeting you sometime. I'd tell you where I live, but unless you've lived here a long time, you wouldn't know where it is. And that's probably a true statement even if you HAVE lived here a long time. Oh, the joys of small town living!

Hi Pat! Where do you live again?? I LOVE Medina...been here almost 18 years now.

Thank you, MaryJo, for the early anniversary wishes. How often are these swaps? I sure hope I can attend the next one. I've never been to a swap. Is it a crop or a time when you can exchange paper/embellishments, etc. with each other?
Hi Stampin 72. Welcome to Ohio. I live about 30 minutes north of you. You'll have to check out Hollo's on Route 42 just south of 303. We should all get together at Archivers (either in Fairlawn or North Olmsted) and have a day of cropping. Whatchathink?
Hi Pat and Lynn! Thanks for the reply! I have been to Hollo's - love it!! I would love to meet the both of you! Any fellow stamping addict is a friend of mine! LOL!! Let me know if any plans are made! Have a great day!

We had a swap in Smithville in October, one in Columbus in December and now this one in Feb. I missed the Columbus one...too much going on. The one coming up is really close to my house!! We each make a card/project sample and then bring enough supplies for everyone who is coming to make it. You make everyone elses project, not your own. We have TONS of food, soft drinks, desserts. It is a lot of fun!!! Now I have to get on the ball and figure out what I am making!!

Mary Jo, that sounds like an absolute blast and a great way to meet others in our area. I will definitely keep my eyes open for the next announcement.

I'm a newbie around SCS - this is my first stab at something like this. Perhaps I should start a new thread. Hmmmm. How does the afternoon of Saturday, February 10th - let's say between 1-4 at Archiver's in Fairlawn look? They are having Scrap Mania from 5:30 - 11:00 p.m. if you wanted to stay on. Of course, this is an open invitation to anybody who would like to join us. Whatchathink?
Lynn - I could maybe make Archiver's on the 10th. My calendar at work is really awful that week so I will certainly need some fun time! Would we need to make reservations at Archiver's?

My mom lives in Doylestown off of Edwards Road...those trailers. I have friends and a cousin who live there too. One on Rogues Hollow Road and the other on Allison. (small world)
Archiver's has some classes coming up but don't have the schedule right now.
Have a good day all!

Hi Pat, Let's pencil it in for the 10th at Archiver's in Fairlawn. How far is Doylestown from Fairlawn? We don't have to make reservations. The tables are on a first come, first serve basis. They have die cut machines that are free for us to use. Would you be working on cards or a scrapbook?
Lynn, I'm about 15 miles from Archivers. My car knows the route by heart! Hmmm .... cards or scrapbooking? I'll have to see what projects I can sorta put together ahead of time. Other than the one shoebox swap I've been to, I've never scrapped or carded (well, that's not the right word! LOL) outside the house. So I don't have any of the cool, packing-up-everything-I-own scrapbook luggage stuff. What will you be working on?

Pat I picked up a great rolling milk crate sized thing for about $20 at the House of Tony(Home Depot). Great for rolling all your stuff to your gatherings. It folds up to lie flat, also!
Hey, Debbie, I have one of those from my Longaberger days!! DUH!!! Why didn't I think of that as an option to tote my stuff?!?!?! Thanks for the injection of Red Bull to my memory!!!
I think you are right. I bet she can't wait to see us all & see all of our talent!!! Have you seen a schedule for Archivers yet. Let me know I would love to go & do something fun there. You can't have all the fun by yourself MaryJo. LOL
Hi Sharon!! I think there is a new list for classes. (valentine's) I will see if I got one in my bag when I shopped there the other day and let you know.

Hi Pat, I'm not quite sure either what I'll be working on. Cards are the easiest to tote, in my opinion. If I were staying until 11 p.m., I wouldn't mind bringing all my scrapbook supplies. I'm not one to plan out my pages in advance - haven't picked up that talent yet; therefore, I gotta bring everything. But perhaps I could leave the paper at home and just buy what I need that day.
Gosh, Pat, you could just put everything in a suitcase and roll it on in. I noticed that somebody asked what is on the calendar that day at Archivers. They have Darling Details workshop from 11-1:30. It's $15. Here's a copy and paste from their website:
"Find out what makes cards spring to life: Its all in the details! At this workshop, youll create a set of four playfully pretty cards using brand-new stamps from Hero Arts, shimmer and handmade paper, and much more. Learn artistic stippling and colored-pencil techniques, and then layer on Glossy Accents for dimension and shine. Discover how to jazz up your greetings with coordinated sequins, gemstones, ribbon, and embellishments for pretty whimsy and sparkle. These delightfully detailed, colorful cards are a must for springtime days ahead."
Lynn, As I worked on cards yesterday, I convinced myself that toting card making supplies to Archivers will be a lot easier than lugging scrapbooking supplies!

Pat, anything will do. We can inspire one another. I wonder if there are any others who would like to join us.

Welcome home. Chicago is a fun city to be sure - windy but fun! I believe only Pat and I are going so far. The more the merrier, ya know. I hope you can make it.
