We've had a cancellation. Can someone who hasn't signed up for food yet be able to bring some bottled water and a cooler of ice please?
Cindy - I'll bring a couple cases of bottled water since I was trying to decide what to bring since my kitchen is under construction right now.

Jen, thanks for the water offer, but you are already bringing something. Paula, thanks for your offer as well - since you haven't signed up for something, a case of water would be great.
Anyone local want to bring a cooler of ice that isn't bringing anything yet?
I will cook the chili tonight and I'll be ready. I keep thinking that something is missing but it's all there. I can't wait for a day of fun stampin with a bunch of FUN Ladies!

Ladies, I just got off the phone with Frank from church. The temperature in the room is set at 68 degrees, so please dress accordingly. With the room and church being so large, they cannot turn the heat up without it affecting the entire building, so please layer clothing if you are someone who is usually chilly. It's better too have too many clothes than not enough.
I will be looking at a different location for future swaps due to the heat and A/C issues. The money you give me goes directly to them, but that doesn't touch the $5,000+ BGE bill each month, and I don't like being hot and/or cold while I'm trying to enjoy myself and I'm sure you don't either.
We will stick it out here tomorrow, but the January swap will most likely be somewhere else.
Your swap cut for 30 people with directions and all of your items marked with your name/initials
Your food/drink item
$10 cash for the church
Card ministry card donations (this is not mandatory)
Appropriate clothing
and yourself!!
Drive carefully in the morning if we still have this wet crappy weather.
Hi Cindy,
I'm not uncomfortable with the temperature setting at your church, either in the winter or summer! I'm sure the temperature tomorrow will be fine for me.

I plan to laugh a lot and generate heat. I also plan to eat sweets. I hear that is good for heat too. Then, of course, the stress of trying to make all the cards.................I am ready.

It's almost time ladies! I thought the temperature was good last night while we were setting up. Frank said when he stopped by that it would get warmer in there than what it felt last night, so I think we'll be fine. I told him with 31 ladies chatting away, we'd generate heat. See you all around 9:00.
Cindy, thanks again for a wonderful swap! Each and every card was fabulous!! What a great bunch of stampers! I had such a fun time...lots of great people...and TONS of great food! Stamping, food and friends...what more could we want?!
Thank you Cindy for hosting another great event. Just my 2 cents, but I thought the temperature was just fine, don't think you have to go to any trouble to move the swap.
Great to put more faces to names and formally meet more people.
Happy holidays to all, and can't wait for the next event.
Thanks again everyone for a wonderful day.

I agree, Lynn. I was VERY comfortable in the hall temperature-wise.
Thanks so much again Cindy for another fabulous swap! Wonderful cards and such a variety! Delicious food and great company! I truly enjoyed myself! And I have to agree with the others, the room temperature was just fine, I was comfortable all day so no need to move the location on my account!
I ditto everyone's words. Theresa, you win the cutting award! That cutting job is the most amazing thing I have seen. I am not very good with knives of any kind including exacto blades so I would have cut that stamp to pieces. You did an amazing job. Lynn, thanks for being with me at the end, making that "last" card. I didn't feel so alone this time and it was great fun meeting you. Kelly and Teena, what can I say, you both rock. Mary, I think everyone will be placing an order for that embossing folder. You are all so much fun and all the cards were fantastic. I am one lucky lady to know all this talent and be able to copy it and learn from it. So many cuts and folds and new ideas and concepts to try out. That ribbon fold was so clever! Those step cards were daunting and wonderful. Paula, thank you so much for the directions for my very special, very own notes folder. I love it! I will be making these in the future.
Cindy, I ditto the sentiments of the other ladies. I covered my knees if I got chilly, and I followed your directions. I layered and I was fine. You are the perfect hostess, as always. I come home totally exhausted but grateful after each swap. My "tablemates" lifted me and carried me the whole day. Have you ever tried to explain to someone how enjoyable the day is even with all the stress of trying to make so many cards? There are just not words. Thanks to all and Theresa, want to cut my stamps out for me? :-D

Thank you Cindy for planning a wonderful day of stamping. This was my first SBS ever and I loved it. When I got home I put my feet up, drank a Diet Dr. Pepper and admired all of my cards. I love every one of them! What a talented group of ladies. I'm already looking forward to the next SBS.

Ladies, thanks so much for making this another memorable and outstanding SBS!! The cards, food, and company rock! You gals are absolutely amazing. Thank you for helping to set up the last minute stuff before the day started, for helping with trash and things throughout the day, and for staying to help clean up. We had that room looking mighty fine when we all left. I loved each and every card we made and have a longer SU wish list I'm afraid. Looking forward to the next one in January.
Thank you guys for the kind words as well. They mean a lot. And I'm so glad to hear that the temperature was okay. I thought it was, but since I keep our house cool, it's hard to say otherwise. Most likely, January's will be there then, since it's already on the calendar. Just have to wish for no snow and ice that day. Look for the thread to be posted probably right after Christmas.

Cindy, Many thanks for yet another fun SBS! EVERYTHING was great - the room, the cards, the friends (many new to me!), the food, the extra goodies, the doorprize(!), and yes, even the temperature! I know I was exhausted after the day - I can only imagine how wiped out you must have been with all the work you put into the day, not to mention all the prep work too! What a wonderful day!!!
I ditto Jane's ditto . The swap was awesome, my husband thought the Sesame Street card was too clever, and I might add adorable. Mary B. we had a grat time sitting with you! Thanks again Cindy for providing us with the opportunity to meet other SCS ladies and just have a day of stamping bliss!
Some of you asked me to keep you updated on my grandmom. Mom and Dad had her taken to the hospital around 11:00 p.m. Saturday night and they discharged her at 3:30 a.m. not finding anything wrong. Ran blood and urine tests and everything was fine. Thinking it's because of her medicine change on Monday from her doctor. Mom and Dad decided that Mom cannot take care of her anymore with the way she is - my grandmom can't really do anything for herself anymore - huge change from Monday morningl, so Mom had an appointment today at a private home for the elderly up in Westminster, and she just called me to say my grandmom moves in on Friday. It's a nice small place - no resemblance of a nursing home - a lot cheaper than a nursing home. Mom really likes the owner and the house in general. And they have a dog and cat which my grandmom will just love. She'll have a private room. It's a huge answer to prayer and a blessing that everything fell into place so quick.

So glad things are working out! Hope she does well in her new home.

Sounds like Grandmom will have a nice new home. Glad things have fallen into place so well for you/her - it is a rough time you all are going through (and have been through too!). All the best during the transition and adjustment - will be praying that it all goes smoothly!
Hi Cindy!
Praying for peace and comfort for your family during this transition for your Grandmother.
THanks for organizing our wonderful day!
I loved it all and also thought the temp was fine.
Happy THanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all!
