I have been puzzling over the same thing, Catherine, since Im working on one of these for another swap. I believe the answer is to cut multiple layers of thinner stock and adhere those together.
Well I just ordered a Sizzix die that is 2.5 inches-- the heavy duty one. I was thinking of still using dsp, stamping etc, but I have about 4 yards of adhesive magnet that I used to use in a Xyron machine. Using the magnet which is thick like chipboard, make the tag, and then the person could use the tag after as a fridge magnet. Carla???
Just waiting on a payment or two and I'm ready to say we're closed. If, however, anyone has one last person to suggest, the tables will be even numbers of 9 each.
I've declared the event CLOSED but it will be a day or two before you see the final swap counts updated.
Meanwhile, you can plan on there being tables of nine (9). You will stamp at two tables -- one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Your project should be the same (except for minor color variations) for both AM and PM.
As always, please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for your patience.
Modified ATC BASE - The point of the circle being heavier is that it will be a sturdy base. Cardboard from on a note pad, cereal box or, a a few pieces of heavy hardstock adhered will work as the base.
So sad to be missing this swap but being it is so close to my daughters wedding I know I won't have time. I am hoping next year is a better year for me to spend with my stamping buddies!!

Hello! Is everyone hard at work? No worries, you still have 3 weeks to go.
While I have your attention, I'd like to invite everyone to make a contribution to the food baskets being put together by our host, First United Church. They put together baskets with enough food to feed families for a full month, not just Thanksgiving or Christmas.
So, any non-perishable food would be great as would things like laundry detergent. Personal care items should be donated elsewhere, however, as those are not the focus of these baskets.
Stampers are always so generous. I just wish I'd had the information when I first put up the thread. I think we'll make these donations a focus of future CNY events.

Thanks for your consideration.
Sounds like a good thing to me! Please feel free to remind us as we get closer to the event. I'd hate to get there and realize I meant to bring something and forgot. Thanks!!

I'll try to remember to do that, Judy. Thanks for suggesting it.
[QUOTE=evilQmom;21712203]2.5 INCH SQUARES FINAL COUNT 12
For this swap we will be using the color palette in Stampin’ Up’s Designer Series Paper, “Joyous Noel†on page 29 of the holiday catalog. You do not have to incorporate this paper, but please only use the colors listed here. Copper foil, Gray Granite, Merry Merlot, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, Tranquil Tide, Whisper White
1 Janet S 2 Kathy H 3 Becky O 4 Stacey D 5 Janet H 6 Diane H 7 Amy F 8 Georgine L 9 Doorprize (frame provided !) 10 Gayla N 11. Nancy B 12. Linda C <o:razz:
You will be creating a 2.5 inch square (PLEASE NOTE THAT IS SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN PREVIOUS SQUARE SWAPS). The dimensions are larger so you can mount these into a 9 inch square shadowbox frame. With this in mind, you can create your square without worrying about thickness, you can use layers and add embellishments without wondering if it will fit in the frame! Make sure you use quality paper with even and neat cuts so we will have a lovely piece of art to showcase.<o:razz:<o:razz:<o:razz:<o:razz:<o:razz:< o:razz:<o:razz:<o:razz:<o:razz:<o:razz:<o:razz:<o: razz:<o:razz:

So, I have thought about posting about dinner at least three different times and failed to get here to say it.
If you are interested in staying around for dinner after the gathering, we'll plan to go to the reopened Danzer's restaurant. This link should take you to their menu on their FB page.
