Hey guys, I'm so sorry that I've been out of touch for a while. Baby Adam was born October 5th, and we've been hiding out here ever since. I've even been neglecting my stamps!
November 11th is not set in stone! I was hoping that we could do it at Rocker NCO Club, but I may be too late to reserve a room (I have to call on Monday). I'm so sorry that I've dropped the ball on this! Let me know if you guys need more time than that to get supplies ready. Remember, you don't have to use SU! stuff.

Yea! Lisa's beautiful baby was born on my birthday! And you will not believe how much hair this kid has. LOL. He's so tiny and so sweet! Gosh, it's only been 2 years and I have already forgotten how small they are. Congrats Lisa!
I'm in on this, I just need to get a general idea of how many will be participating and what kind of cards we will be making. Gosh, the pressure! -- Does it have to be Christmas themed?

Just let us know about the date when you can. I can whip mine up pretty quick, I already have an idea in mind and I have all the stuff for it.

Thank you Roseanne! *I'm so excited to see you all too!* I am getting excited about it all!!
I hope this is not tacky, but I'll mention it anyway. I know you all are demos over there in the towers, but I'm having a SU workshop this Friday night at 6 pm, if anyone would like to come and have a pre-card making get together! Jeanne Marie is doing my show. I need to stock up on supplies I need to make the card I want for our get together. LOL. PM me if you'd like directions. I live on Kadena. So I am doubly excited, I need to get back into stamping and put cakes behind me for a while. LOL.

Hey guys! I reserved the Kuba room at the Rocker NCO club from 9:00am - 1:00pm on November 11. That's in two weeks, so if you would like to have SU! products you still have time to order them! More details to come regarding food...

Yea! We're official! Thanks Lisa for booking everything.
I'd like to offer a suggestion. How about bringing stamp sets we'd like to trade? I know I have a few I'd like to pass on. Who knows, I might have something you want and vice-versa.
Let me know what you think.

Lisa, sorry, but I wont be able to make this swap. I would love to join in again, though, if one was set up for after the new year. I hope you all have fun.
I just realized that November 11th is in the middle of a three day weekend. Is that going to bother anyone? I have until Thursday to cancel with the club if you want to do another date. Please let me know what you think because I don't want to show up and be the only one there!
I ordered the food for Saturday...here's what I got...
Fresh Vegetable Crudites with Assorted Dips
Vegetable Spring Rolls with Plum Sauce
Sweet & Sour Meatballs
Mini Assorted Quiche
Iced Tea
I think $10 per person for the food would be fair. If you would like to MPS a check to me, please PM me for my address.
I'm so excited about our Holiday theme. Are you going to do a Christmas or Thanksgiving card? Do you all have your card ideas yet? I have to get busy designing something!

I think $10 is very fair and the food choices are great! I don't have a problem with it being a holiday weekend, but my hubby is also out with the MEU too. I will MPS you a check tomorrow. Out of curiosity are you going to have both Sweet & unsweet tea? I think I am one of the only people on the planet that doesn't drink sweet tea!No biggy if not. I am very excited. I am going to do up a Christmas card I had in mind for this year. Can't wait!

I'm glad you are excited for Saturday! I think it'll be a lot of fun! I can't wait to see your Christmas card!
The Club has unsweet tea. They set out sweeteners for people like me who are from Texas and have to have it sweet! ;)

Oh yeah,
this is my first swap...how does this work? What do I need to do...just bring different cards that I have made, or bring the supplies for others to make my cards? I am unsure, can someone clue me in? Thanks!

From what I understand, you make and cut out and supply everything needed to make your sample card. Everyone will bring their own glue or adhesive to your table to assemble your sample card. And will move on to the next person's card etc.
So make a supply list of what you used to make your card and cut and fold everything to have it ready for each person attending. There ya go! Is that about right everyone?
And don't forget to bring your own adhesive!
See you all there, this is so exciting! Yea! More people, more fun!

I am hoping that the SU stuff you ordered will come in tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers because I need some of that stuff too. LOL.
I have 8 stamp sets I'm trading and about 10 single stamps as well.;)
I can't wait to see you all!

Do we trade based on the value of the stamp set? How do we trade single stamps? I'm not trying to be a pain, I've just never traded before. Gotta know the details before Saturday, ya know! ;)

Current SU stamp sets cannot be sold, but old stamp sets can be. I'm willing to trade any new stamps or old stamp sets if it's of equal value to me.
I have a bunch of single stamps that are not SU, that I plan to sell for a buck, except for one.
That's how I'm doing it.

It's over! I hope you all had a good time. I'd like to know what you think about what went well and what you think we could do better next time. I'll start!
I love that I only had to bring enough supplies to make one card, and I still came home with lots of other cards. Also, I love trying out new stuff before I buy it. I now know that I NEED shimmery white CS! LOL!
Next time, we need little wastebaskets at each table. I think I'll look at the 100 Yen store for some cute little baskets or something. Also, we need to plan our time a little better. I was thinking like an hour at each table or 20 minutes for each card. I think that would have kept us on track a little better.
Overall, I think it was great! I had a great time, got lots of ideas, talked to some really cool ladies, and got lots of really cute cards to take home! Thanks to everyone who attended! All the cards were beautiful!!
Here's the group picture.

I personally had such a great time! Thanks, Lisa for putting it all together! I think for time, maybe just a warning each hour or for the last hour. I had no ideat the time got away from us. Or maybe asking for an additional 1/2 hour for the place.
Garbage can would have been nice, but I wouldn't personally want to store them. I think we should have pushed the issue with Rocker to get a big one in the room.
Other than that, I am so pleased with all the fun cards we made and I had a blast! I loved chatting with everyone. Thank goodness I got in some girl stamping time while dh is away. I would go crazy this 5 day weekend with the kids and no free time!
I had a blast. You ladies are so creative and what beautiful cards I came home with today! Time sure did get away from us today (maybe all the chit-chat..hehe). I'm going with the hour by hour warning idea. It at least gives us an idea of where we stand. I also love how we did today. Didn't have to lug along too many things and it give me so many new ideas!!! I just loved it!
As far as the trash issue. Maybe instead of getting trash cans we could use the brown paper bags from the commissary. Just put one on each side of the table. Clean-up would be super easy and no one has to store anything (or spend the money on them!)
Thanks again Lisa! Keep your eyes open ladies..I'm in the works of planning something for next month!!

Hi ladies! Well, I'm so sorry I missed all the fun!! Edie came over and showed me all the cards you all made - they are awesome!! I hope the next time someone plans a get-together that I can attend.
Oh it was so much fun!! Especially since I got to stay the whole time. What a blast!
Thanks everyone for your beautiful cards, love them all! I even learned a few new techniques.
I'm sorry that not everyone had time to do my card. I came home with 5 leftover.
Maybe we can bring a timer and set it for 30 minutes and once it rings, swap tables. I think 30 minutes to stamp one card is reasonable. Then we can take a break after 2 cards (or 30 minutes) then, we can all break and chat at the same time. We definitely need to watch the time because next swap there may be even more people attending.
I'm all for doing one in December! There are so many vacation days in December, that I'm going to need a break from the kiddos. LOL.
Oh another suggestion is to maybe have a challenge for the swap. Like maybe a color challenge or something?? Like maybe people can volunteer from a list of challenges to come up with a card for all of us to make? Maybe December's challenge should be to get us a jump on February and Valentines day.
Great to see you all!
