We are growing in numbers! YEah! If you have not confirmed your attendance, I did not list your name. Please let me know if you are in.
I will be checking every couple of days. We are up to 13, would love for 20!
Thanks
Pam
PS If I received payment I will notate paid by your name.
Please add Ann Martin's name to the list for the shoebox swap. She has tried to post to this thread but for some reason it's not letting her so I said I would post for her. She has sent her payment in within the last day or so. Her SCS name is "girlscout".
I am starting to receive payments. If you paid by check or MO I will hold the check to 1 week before. I am also noting next to your name on the list paid.
Looks like we are at 14 participants whoo hoo!
Good questions. Here are some guidelines for the shoebox swap idea that I have borrowed from other posts (thank You all).
Shoe box Swap
Design a full card or 3-D item, and make 1 samples. This swap is not limited to just SU products and we can evaluate for future shoeboxes amongst those that attend.Put together a list of instructions to make it.
Precut enough supplies to make your item for each person and place materials in a baggie. (If there are 10 people make 10 baggies of supplies). Include the directions in each baggie, just in case there isn’t enough time for a person to make your item at the actual swap meet. Baggies should include pre-cut cardstock and embellishments.
Place the rest of your items (stamps, ink, punches, markers, WWC, pencils, etc.) and the baggies into a shoe box. All individual items in your shoebox should be labeled with your name.
When the shoebox starts, Each person will set up their stuff at a station and then everybody rotates around the room and makes each project. You can go at your own pace that way.
Please bring your own adhesive, scissors and bone folder. If your card requires special adhesive such as glue dots, please include that in your shoebox.
What to Bring
Bring enough supplies for each participant plus two extra sets to be used for parts when people mess up. You may also want to bring your camera. Just in case you don’t’ have enough time to make all of the projects, you can snap a picture of the sample so you may complete it at home. You’ll also want to take pictures of all of your SCS sistahs!
Your address book so you can add all your new friends’ names, phone numbers, and email addresses!
Bring your own adhesive, scissors and bone folder. Label these since they will be moving around.
I thought it might be nice to have a gift exchange too. Anything stamped
or stamp related items/ supplies, not too costly say about $5.00- $8.00 value.
This is totally optional.
Also feel free to bring any stamped samples or boards that you may have
Hi Pam, I have a couple of concerns with how you want to set things up. Donna will just be a couple of weeks out from having knee surgery. I'm not sure how much she will be able to move around. Also, I usually sit with Courtney and we work on the cards together. The easier ones she can do by herself but the more challenging ones she needs help with. The way the shoebox swaps that I've been to in the past have been set up. Is you pick a table to sit at the whole time and all the shoeboxes are set on one table. You go and get a box when you are finished you return the box and get another one ( ok, I know what you are thinking that this way is also a lot of walking but Courtney or myself would get the boxes for Donna when we return ours). Also, I was hoping for just
Stampin Up products so I can have more samples for my business. Just my 2cents worth but whatever you want to do. Pam
I too find that putting the boxes at one station and letting people go get the next one as they finish seems to work out much better because some work faster than others and they won't be held up at any one station waiting for the next person. They don't have to cart their personal supplies (adhesive, snips, cutters, bags, drinks, etc.) from table to table. It also makes it less stressful for those who need a little more time. Just something to think about while you're still in the planning stages.

Hi Pam,
I have to agree with the other Pam and Pat regarding putting the boxes at one station. I have done it both ways and it does seem so much easier to have all the boxes in one place and each person goes up and gets a box to work on at their own pace. Also, you don't have the issue of having to pack up your personal stuff each time, that can be a bit of a hassle. Just my 2 cents! I do want to thank you for hosting, I am really looking forward to this swap!

Okay I will add my 2 cents also But i want it back. ( HAHAHAHAHA)
I have only done it the one away adn that is the one you are describing. I found it enjoyable because I could chatt with other people at different tables. Not just sticking with my group and seeming like a click. But again they are your rules and the hostess so it is up to you. I Thank you with big arms ((((((HUG))))))) for hosting .
I am not concerned about the all SU thing. (although I am an active demo) But you may be able to intise more demos that will come stamp that day if it was su only. It would be nice to put in my basket to show my customers BUT I think or thought the whole spirit of the swap was to meet some new paople adn place faces to screen names.
Okay I will take my 2 cents back now. But if you need to borrow it again just let me know.
Have a GREAT night ALL!

Opps Question. What if you have an item that needs to be heated with the heat tool? Will there be a station for that? 9 Guessing too it will depend on how it is set up)
I love the two cents! I have collected about six cents (sense)!
I hear you ladies. I'll go ahead and set up boxes at a table and you can be stationary. I appreciate all your suggestions - it helps me too!
If this shoebox swap goes well we can do another one for just demonstrators.
As far as heating tool - yes we can set up a separate table for heat guns. Annie - bring your gun
Sign up is closing soon - anyone else like to join? The more the merrier!
It would be nice if we could gather about 20 of us, only need four more to sign up!.
As far as stamps - SU preferred, but since it I did not specify, anything goes!
SU demos can take any idea and taylor it to SU products. In the fall I plan on putting together a SU only gathering.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Pam! I plan on using SU stuff, but just wanted to check. Thanks for putting this together.
Hi ladies - I will be at the stampinup convention next week and will probably not be back online until the 30th or 31st. Feel free to continue to post questions and sign up to attend. I will check back when I return.
I am back from convention ... it was awewome. I am alittle sad tho , I lost my charms. I am hoping someone reads my help post at session two and will be kind enough to pick me up some charms. Anyway ....
I have updated the paid list. Still looking for more participants.
Ok Ladies - The count is 15 to date. I am so looking forward to a fun day of stamping with all of you.
Couple of reminders:
Bring enough items for 14 projects. Please have the 15th project completed for the sample.
If you can, include instructions.
Bring any samples or board displays. Bring cameras.
Anyone interested in a gift exchange? Stamp an item or if you have stamp related items feel free to bring it. No obligation. Project cost no more than 5.00. Sometimes it is the work that goes in the gift than the $ spent on the main item.
There will be a couple of door prizes.
If I have missed anything, please let me know as this is my first time coordinating a shoebox swap..
Oh - PS Please bring your 2 cents (Don't ask any questions - you see on Sat.)
