Got EVERYONES Pm's..so by this weekend I will at LEAST know the month. Again..majority rules here...so I will keep everyone updated and hopefully we can ALL make this work...
Thanks for the bump granny! This sounds like an awesome trip and I know dh and I would love to attend, but we will just have to wait and see when it is. Since being in Germany if we don't bring the kids we would have to drop them in Ky then go on out to vegas. Of course I could bring my kids since I have an older one who can babysit! I think the kids would have a good time during the day with us then in the evening we could do casino's! Just keep us updated.
If I had to pick a month it would problaby be late June or July. My kids are in school until the middle of June.
How long would the trip be, a long weekend? If so, I'd love to try to go. I guess I'll be able to leave DS overnight by then. Why am I a freak about leaving him overnight?
I think I can swing my mom to sit for DS for a long weekend (BTW, why would you take kids to Vegas? They are not family oriented are they?).
Discount is good!
DH is not concerned with Stampin' Chics at all, since we are not stampin'
I'd hate to go in hot months also.
I'm a Vegas Virgin too and have wanted to "do it" for a long time.
We do not have any date constraints at this point...
ive never been.. but my husband used to go every year with his family as a kid. they have amusement parks.. the m&m museum.. the Coca Cola Museum.. he LOVED going as a kid. and his family went for a carpet convention every year and turned it into a family vacation.. so i think kids can have fun too. i have never been.. but my husband does want to take the kids one year during carpet convention.. since the family's still go.. (can you tell my inlaws own a carpet shop?)

Hmm, You mean Vegas has more than Casinos? lol
Guess I just had adult stuff, like casinos, on the mind.
I'd probably like the M&M and Coke museums, I like touristy stuff like that, maybe not the carpet convention though.
Glad your inlaws do own a carpet shop, I might worry about people that just like to attend carpet conventions w/o having anything to do w/carpet. ;-)
I have been waiting all day for your reply. I knew you would talk sooner or later....My hubby mentioned Excalibur, but I kinda don't like the location....The end of the strip and all.
I stayed at Excalibur once and would never go back. Location has nothing to do with it, we had crappy service and even though I had prepaid for two rooms and called twice, they gave one away thinking it was an error having two rooms with people arriving 6 hours apart (the other party arrived first).
I am interested! my schedule is open, so whenever works for everyone else works for me! I will keep an eye on this thread or PM me when we have it narrowed down a little bit!
Vegas, did someone say Vegas?
LoL
We are already going in August, but, I might be persuaded to go back. I always stay at Harrahs or Ballys, location and service are excellant. I have been about 16-17 times over the last 9 years. I am a bit of a Vegas fanatic.
I have been waiting all day for your reply. I knew you would talk sooner or later....My hubby mentioned Excalibur, but I kinda don't like the location....The end of the strip and all. But hey, who am I? He mentioned the Sahara and Treasure Island.....But I will talk to my friend Chrissy (wholesaler) tomorrow and see what they have to offer.
DH ad I stayed at Treasure Island 8 yrs ago (gosh has it been that long, i was only 19 & couldn't even step into the casino) It was pretty decent. I enjoyed the big show outside, but then again who wouldn't with half naked 'pirates' swinging from sinking ships. And I do love my husband VERY much!!! Just a side note!! It's in a good location!!
I'll talk to my husband, he's been wanting to go back, and this sounds like it would be fun!!

After discussing this with my husband...we are both very excited to go! I just hope we can. Please keep us posted and give lots of notice on dates and prices! Thanks!
I now officially have the month narrowed down. We are going MAY 2006.
I have talked with my buddy at the wholesaler and she said it is by far cheaper for everyone to arrange for their own airfare. Simply because so many people have responded that they would be coming from several different airports. We can only get a "group" price on airfare if 20 people are traveling together. My husband and I ALWAYS fly Southwest Airlines. We have found them to be the cheapest by far.
So...please PM me if May works for you and I will start working out the hotel details. Remember....we need 20+ people for a group rate!
I hope to hear from you all real soon.....Shanon
My stamping buddy, Amy and I are interested, we can book cheap direct flights from here if the dates work with the small airline that comes this way. Also depends on if we can get off work, So will keep watch on the postings and see if we can commit at a later date.
Love Vegas. Just a suggestion. The last two times my husband and I have gone to Vegas we have stayed at Bally's. They have great room rates, the best buffet in town and it is right in the middle of the strip.
This sounds like a blast! Hubby is SUPPOSED to leave for Iraq in October of this year...so...hmmm when would I need a Moms time out....I will go with the majority and try and work it out with family for the kids. I was married in Vegas! Too Cool! GUESS, I SHOULD READ ALL THE POST BEFORE I POST! LOL!

C'mon, Shanon--curious minds want to know. You know we can't wait to meet you! Plus, this way I can put it on my calendar so I can start planning for it.
Ooooh oooh I wanna go, not sure if DH could come too, no family here so we'd have to fly some in ?!?!?! Anyone else going without their DH ??? I'll keep checking in.

I'd be interested in a trip to Vegas... though I'm new to SCS and don't really know anyone yet.
I was just there in May... very hot out, but great for days by the pool and nights in the casino. I've heard Bally's is reasonable (found a friendly roulette table there)... but the BEST buffet is at Paris!
I'll try to pm you for more details... I'm not sure where my life will take me by then.
:( I'm out, just found out DH deploys in Feb, so I'll have no-one to watch the kiddos, it's a tad expensive to ship Grandparents in from England or NY to CA !!!! maybe next time

I wouldn't be able to get my husband to come if he knew we would be stampin! Of course I am not even sure we will be coming....who knows what next year will be like.
[QUOTE=erika]Wow...my birthday is in May.....just maybe...hmmmm
Great! Another Birthday in May! That's two great reason's to CELEBRATE! Not that we need one! When we push the button on a slot machine & the wheels start going around & around, isn't it really singing happy birthday to you?
OK for all of you who have a husband who wouldn't come count me in. I think he would rather be boiled in oil then go there but hey I am a big girl now and I will come alone if you will.

Come on Miss Maggie! We will have a great time with or with out our menfolk!
I missed this orginal thread. This sounds like fun, however I am just as crazy about gambling as I am about stamps. However I think stamping is more expensive!!! May sounds good too. Any excuse to go to VEGAS!! Yeah baby. Keep me in the loop.
I am totally in for a Vegas Trip. ANytime is good for me, but August would be great! My hubby and I got married in Vegas August 2003, so I can always paln it as an "Anniversary" trip! He'll be so busy gambling he won't notice I'm not around!
