I'll be there with three of my best buddies....I don't know how often they post on SCS, but we love this site and always find something fun to try at our monthly Stamp Camps!
We've never been to one of these before, and we're sooooo excited! Only a three hour drive over the hill for us...just hope we don't run into snow on the Grapevine, as us Californian's don't know how to drive in the snow and it doesn't take much for the CHP to close I-5 down over the summit! ;) Keep your fingers crossed for us!
Looking forward to seeing lots of great things and maybe meeting some new friends!

Silly question - flying in on Fri Am coming back Mon (staying 3-nights) Can I get by with a carry-on sized suitcase or do I need to bring a bigger bag and check it (for the goodies I am possibly coming home with). Never gone to CHA before..

Kids are off from school Monday, car service and Arts Attack volunteer day at school on Tuesday, modified school day on Wed, then before you know it, it will be the weekend! And I try to avoid the mall at all costs on the weekend, so I wanted to be mostly done by today!

First, I don't look ANYTHING like my avatar! They may look a little like me though - meld them altogether, add a lot of ...um....stuffin' and maybe... you might get me! :rolleyes:

Jackie: ME TOO! To be on the safe side, leave as early as possible as we might have to take the coastal route, which will, of course, add at least two hours to the drive. But NOTHING (we hope!) will stand between us and Anaheim next weekend!!!! :p

I've been stalking this thread for a few days and laughing at the giddiness. I live in SoCal so it will be warm compared to winter weather elsewhere. We do wear open-toed shoes all year here, hence our addiction to pedicures- it's a necessity!! I do apologize for the chance of rain. Rain is a rare occurrence here but we do need it. Fashion, style, everything is acceptable here, anything goes. PJ's or high heels, you see it all. As for restaurants and eating out, take advantage of our great Mexican restaurants while you are here, we have lots of good ones if you come from an area that does not. I will be there on Saturday and am looking forward to meeting as many SCSrs as I can. CAKath

The weather in the paper today for M - F is WET, at least this far south. So pack an umbrella, too, just in case. They are calling it the biggest storm to hit, not only this season, but in a decade. Will it pan out? Have to see.

No worries. California is the only place I know where they announce "STORM WATCH" when the forecast calls for 2 inches of rain. Lots of hype and a little moisture. As long as you stay off the freeways you will be fine, as people don't drive well here in the rain.

i can handle a little so cal rain (lived there for 10 years) what was scaring me was the SNOW they were predicting for my area!!!!!!! i am flying out there with my buddy suzanne dean who has had two of two MAJOR events snowed out so far this winter! luckily it is now saying it will just be rain on friday for us so our flight should make it out of here YAYAYAYAY!!!
