I've never been on a cruise, so how much time do you spend on the ship and how much on shore? or is it just different for everyone? I guess what I'm asking is - if I bring my DH along, will I be abandoning him the entire time???
Oh, this sounds like an absolute blast! I've been on 7 cruises and they are THE best vacation!!! It sounds expensive but when you add up that all of your meals and entertainment are included, it's not bad at all. Matter of fact, we find it less expensive than 7 days on the road. A trip to Disney World is MUCH more expensive if you're staying on property, which is comparable to what a cruise is.
I'd soooo love to go. Still trying to iron out what to do. DH would love to go, but I'd be torn on whether to spend time with him or stampin while we're at sea. Is there anybody over 50 going?
I'll be turning 50 this fall & would love to go. But since there is no DH in my life, I would be either coming by myself or looking for a roommate to share expenses. It sounds like great fun!
I sent in my deposit yesterday. My husband is going to and will find something to do while I'm stamping. This will be my 10th cruise, first with Royal Caribbean.told my husband yesterday he said go for it!!

I'm contemplating going as well, my DH would be coming with. He gets a bonus for being at his place of employment 10 years and it's $1800 for a trip to anywhere...I have him talked into a cruise, now to just talk him into *THIS* cruise!

Hi I've cruised a few times (4 Ithink??) with all different cruise lines...and you are usually in port for 8-12 hours sometimes a bit longer at each port. But there is TONS of time on the ship that you would have to be with him I'm SURE, I seriously doubt that our hostesses have *EVERY* minute on the ship planned out, there is so much to do on the boat too...eat, gamble, shows, they had dueling pianos on the last RC cruise I was on, it was awesome two guys played pianos that were facing each other, singing songs the crowd requested and interrupting each other with funny lyrics. It was a blast...anyway, what I'm saying is, if *I* go, I'm taking DH because I know there will be plenty for US to do as well as Me time!
I'm going. WooHoo!! Me and 2 friends signed up tonight. Joelysmom and RHONDA3 and these girls are a blast. There was no question we were not taking the hubbys. Love them, Yes. Want to be sure they are entertained, No. I cannot wait. I am so excited to meet every one of you. I feel like I know so many already from reading blogs and from SCS forums. I cannot believe I am going to actually meet Nichole Heady!! LOL!
I talked to my BF about the cruise last night. Considering he asked me a few weeks ago if there was 'some kind of stamp camp' he could get for me as a birthday gift - I said 'honey, you know how you said...........' - well he didn't say no to the idea of this cruise. He said "I don't have to stamp, do I?"
LOL!!! We'll keep talking about it, I am sure!!
Here's my question - since this cruise leaves out of Port Canaveral, where is everyone flying into? Orlando? I was looking for information on airports - shuttles to/from, etc. Anyone have any idea? Sorry if I am not looking in the right place on the site!
Wow, that is such a temptation . . . and a whole year to save up the moolah . . . hmmm, college for DD or cruise? College . . . cruise . . . college . . . cruise.
Wow, I just saw the announcement on Nichole's blog and had to come see if there was a thread on Splitcoast. I really want to go! I guess I'll have to do some checking on airfare and finding a roommate. This would be so fun!!!!
Hmm, so are most people going alone, with friends, or with their significant other?
I don't think DH would have a lot of fun hanging out while I stamp but I don't know anyone else who could go with me...
I'm going with 2 friends, dh didn't even want to hear the details once I told him it was stamping related!!! Thats fine, we're going to have an absolute ball!!!

I signed up with 3 others but I hear there are 199 spots with the option of another 100 so even if you sign up on your own you will have at least 198 friends with you!! No DH's going in our group. This way there is no guilt to make sure he is OK while I am having the time of my life in the evenings with you gals. I have read a few postings of people looking for roomies. You should check that angle out.

Definitely going to have a wonderful time!!! Yes, I do need a break from real life!!!
Marc said he would consider it! So I emailed it to a few friends to see what they think. I'm so suprised he said he would consider it. I've never been on a cruise.
My hubby gave me the okay to go, but not alone. Like I'd ever be alone in a room full of stampers! He is probably referring to when I go mountainbiking or scuba diving though... anyways I called my dear MIL to see if she is interested in going with me. She said she'd talk it over with her hubby and I am patiently (well, truth be told, not even close to "patiently") waiting for tomorrow for her answer!!!

My dh said he would go if I really wanted to, but I just don't think he would have fun. I don't have friends that are into stamping enough to go on a cruise! I'm not sure what I'll end up doing.
