I will be organizing a Shoebox Swap get together in Green Bay. It will be late Sept or Early Oct. I want to set it up for a weekend with no home game. I will do a little research and get the dates and info up asap.
Participants numbers will be limited by the space I am able to rent. I want to keep this affordable for all. There will be a lunch provided as part of the cost.
What would you like to see on the lunch table?
Pizza?
Subs?
Sandwich fixings?
We will be making some of the cards ahead of time. That leaves some time for visiting, lunch and such. I liked the name tags last year in Neenah for dividing the groups. So I'd like to case that idea for dividing us up.
There will also be the garage sale area. So plan ahead, is there stuff you'd like to sell? Bring it along.
I'm thinking 9am - 5pm for the time frame of the event. So everyone can get back home at a decent time.
Hi! I would love to come! i'm due Oct 22 and am missing lots of swaps because they are too late in Oct. Please pick an early day!
I've shoebox swapped a lot and have a suggestion, but you may be on it already... include additional swaps. Ones I've participated in that were successful are Secret Sister, Additional Card (Full card), 12x12 Scrap layout (2 pages), and Anything BUT a card. At one event the Secret Sister swap replaced a Lottery Item one that was popular. It was fun, much like a secret sister on SCS, and more personal consideration was taken in giving a gift basket at the event.
I am working on this event. It's stressful right now. My computer crashed. Right now it is hard to get online (public library access only) to update stuff. I do not yet have a date. This event will happen, maybe in a different location.
I have spoken with Tundra Lodge twice now. They are unable to garauntee their new conference area will be ready in time for the end of Oct. I am unable to locate a site large enough and within a budget amount to hold this event this fall.
I think I will pass on this at this time, as November is super busy for me. So no bumping it to a later date. Maybe something can be put together for next spring. Sorry all!
I am taking over the Titletown Shoebox Swap from Kim (with her blessings and a bit of help). Tundra Lodge, well.... you know per above about that...
Anyways, I live in Pulaski which is within a 1 hour drive from Wausau, Shawano, Seymour, Green Bay, Appleton, etc... I have contacted our VFW hall and have persmission to rent the building for November 1st, if I want to.
My questions to you ladies are:
1. Are you interested in having a fall Titletown Shoebox Swap??? There is a $20 fee which would include food, drink, the rental for the space and lots and lots of fun!
2. What would you like for food? We have quite a few places for food (McD's, Figaro's Pizza, Cousin's Subs, Subway, DQ, and Julie's Cafe, which caters) What would you like? Any suggestions???
3. Drinks? Coffee, Tea, Water, Cocoa??? Any other suggestions???
4. What time??? 10am-4pm? 10am-5pm? 11am-4pm? 11am-5pm?
Ok, now that the questions are done... This is what I was thinking, just to give you an idea to help you make up your minds.... there will be more info in the actual post... I will post a link to it here...
