Mel; as confused as you were about what #'s (2) to make, I wonder what else you may have left there. You did a wonderful job with the cake though. We polished the last of it off the next morning. What time did you leave? We did get your note. Thanks. Can't wait till the next time. Do you think there will be peanuts there??? HA-HA Do you remember?

I snuck out at about 7:00 am...drove up to Starbucks and then headed home.
It was a great time, that's for sure.
Got your messages with the awesome spoonful and the invite - I might be able to do this, after all. Will have to chat more later. I loved the black and white - very elegant.
So far, no naked cowboys in Boston....still looking, though!! (tee-hee!) We'll see tonight if I can find any...!! Might have to settle for peanuts!! (I crack myself up!)

I am so sad that I had to miss this - it sounds like it was one heck of a party up there!!! Luckily we didn't tell DS #1 about the waterpark so he didn't know what he was missing. That would have been trouble for us with an upset 3 year old. I can't believe that this new little bugger thought that he could try to be born at 32 WEEKS, yikes. Isn't that just like a boy? But at least I got to the hospital fast and they were able to stop everything for now. I had a dr. appointment this morning and they think that things are stable. I am on meds every 4 hours (yes, all night long, ugh) to keep the contractions from being a problem and on full bedrest at home. At the beginning of Nov. I will be 36 weeks and then they will stop the meds and bedrest and think DS #2 will probably come pretty fast then.
Anyway, that's what happened here, I was so, so upset to miss this, I'd been looking forward to it for weeks but I am really happy that it was such a fun time for those who were there. Any important news that I missed out on? Nothing's keeping me from the Madison one whenever Tracey has it, or this next year. Take care and talk to you all soon!
Jen
Great to hear that everything is (somewhat) better! I really wanted to see that belly My thoughts are with you and I know that you are going to have a beautiful baby- no matter what!
Next time we will have lots of pics to look at!

Will you check to see if the scissors have my name on them? I marked my Creative Memories blue scissors (with a yellow label that has my name) on one of the blades. If the scissors aren't dark blue CM ones, then they're not mine.
Maybe one of the naked cowboys took my scissors...eh, Connie??
Sorry it took a bit for me to get here....been a hectic week at our house.
First - thanks Melanie for being the chauffeur for my goodies! I really appreciate it. We'll have to get together soon so I can find out what I missed (naked cowboys??)
Thanks ladies for some excellent swaps! I can't wait to show these off to my customers.
I plan to do a shoebox swap here in Sun Prairie (Madison) again early next year - I'm thinking the end of January....but nothing's set in stone yet. I hope many of you can make it down for the fun!

You're welcome!
End of January won't work for me, either. Perhaps the first Saturday in February...?

Feb. would be more like it for me too, but I won't know my school test stuff until Jan. So I am on the fence until then, but if I can make it I will go!
What a fun day!!! It was so great to meet everyone! The cards and projects were awesome. thanks Kathy for all your work with making it happen.
I can't wait until next year. Will post the dips later.
Hope everyone gets home safely.

Hi everyone!!
Glad to hear everyone made it home safe and sound. I had such a great time I can't wait until next year!!
Here are the dip recipes.
Chipped Beef:
1-8oz cream cheese, 1/2 carton sour cream (16oz) & 4 packages (2oz size) beef cut into tiny pieces. Hollow out a loaf of italian bread and fill with dip. wrap loaf in foil.Bake 350 for 1 hour. Serve with the leftover pieces of bread or with bagels cut up.
Artichoke& Spinach dip
4 gloves garlic, 1(10 oz) pckg frozen chopped spinach, 1(14oz) can artichoke hearts drained and chopped. 1(10 oz) jar Ragu Classic Alfredo sauce, 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/3 cup grated parmesan ( not the kind in the green kraft bottle that is powdery) 1- 8oz cream cheese softened.
Press the garlic in a metal mixing bowl. add ragu and cream cheese mix together ( i just use a hand mixer and just mostly broke up the cheese) then add the rest of the ingridents and bake in glass pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
I am so glad you guys liked these dips. They are great.
Hope all is well with everyone. Any ? on the dips please let me know
take care
cindy
Did anyone ever claim that little trash basket and scissors? I think it might be one of the ladies that came with me.
