I learned from when I did the Madison one in March. I was up really super late the night before stuffing baggies! If I don't use them all at Wausau I will have extras for my Grandma. That works! Now to figure out my full card swap.

I don't know about rmnett...but I was planning to only do the card front and the anything but swap. Thinking that I might not have time to pre-prep a sbx project...and that no one had to make a card for me! And since I can't attend...I didn't want to take a "spot" from someone else.
Schrades - you don't have me counted in the shoebox totals do you?

I am responding for RMNETT. She can not come to the gathering since she has a wedding that day. She is very disappointed but she has told me that she has already made all of her FULL cards for the shoebox swap, plus all of the other swaps that she has said that she would get into. So even though she will only be there is spirit, she will have all of her FULL cards done for everyone that will be there, or in spirit.
I was planning to only do the card front and the anything but swap.
Is the Individual swap only card fronts? Please let me know. I was thinking it was full cards like the shoebox swap.

Oh I so wish I could be there!! Thanks for posting for me gabbygab! I've got my swaps packed and ready to go, and I have also made all of my shoebox cards so all you'll have to so on the day is pick one up. I'm ahead of the game like I was last year, but hopefully no one will leave my swaps behind like me-- the rocket scientist-- at home like last year!) What a nightmare.
Schrades my dear, what are full card fronts? A 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 front only or a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 full card?? Sorry but like I said, a bit challenged lately.
I am assuming a full card means 8 1/2 (scored to be 4 1/4) x 5 1/2...a regular card ready to pop in the mail. I think. It's early yet, and I don't think so very well on weekends. I think on that note, I will get a Diet Coke and get some much needed caffiene! Please let us know! I can't wait to meet everyone and see the cards!!! Not to mention a weekend away! Then visiting with my Grandmas before heading home Sunday!
Yep, it's a full card swap. The 'front' part is just habit...I keep saying "card front swap" when I mean FULL card swap. The easiest way for me to remember at this event is that my shoebox is a full card and my individual is a full card.
Is the 'after party' in your room again? (tee-hee). Let me know which snack/beverages I can bring to contribute to the fun.
gabbygab, I have the pictures from last year, but I'm such a HORRIBLE photographer that I was embarrassed to send them to you. I'll bring them along so you can see how bad I am at taking pictures. This year someone else will have to take them. Mine stink.
Missing rmnett! Wish you could come along. Can't wait to hear that you've graduated from technical school so I can become a regular customer.

I need a little help here. I signed up to go and signed up for all groups but I need a little clarification. The shoebox is unassembled just everything cut and supplies to make the full card ( but 2 already made for the girls who can't come but are there in spirit), the individual swap is also full cards but I make them all ahead of time for trading ( with those who sign up), I have the anything but a card done , but what do I do for the lottery.
Any help would be appreciated. I know Anne told me along time ago but I forgot to write it down and well what can I say age!!!

Hi Cindy-
People do lots of different things for the lottery. Name frames (with words like "family", "love", etc.), other altered frame art, gift sets (like a coaster box, pen, notepad maybe), paint cans with goodies, altered lunch tins, altered albums, etc. Here's a link to what I did for last year's event, and I probably have some pictures of what others have done if you want me to e-mail them to you (let me know, PM me your e-mail addy):
