Posting again to see if there is anyone interested in getting together in the Lorton area! I just moved here and I would like to meet and stamp with other stampers in the area! I would love to host some kind of card swap/get together in September!
I just happen to come across this thread and thought I would pop in since VA isn't too far from MD, now that I'm getting to know the lay of the land.lol
Hope you all are having a great day! Wanted to let you all know Ft Meade, MD is having a shoebox swap that some of you may be close enough to come to. We would love to meet you all.
Just got back from Savage Mill here in MD. If any of you get out this way I would recommend it. They have lots of fun little shops along with the Queen's Ink Stamp store, which had lots of fun goodies for me to buy.lol
I would love to get together with other stampers in NOVA area! I'll keep checking in or feel free to draft me to assist if someone wants to set something up. I live in Fairfax (near Dulles) and would be happy to host if that's convenient.
Let me know!

If someone will volunteer to help me organize attendees and activities (never hosted a stamping event before!), I can have it at my house in Herndon! How does the weekend of Sat Sept 27 or Sun Sept 28 sound?

I'm in Mechanicsville, just north of Richmond. I'd love to get together in the central Virginia area. Heck, I'd even help plan something if there is enough interest. I have several friends here who'd love a get together too!

Hey there.... I'm for the 27th and I can help you put it all together if you want to host.
VMetz and I are seriously looking into planning something in the Richmond area. Probably early October. If you'd like to join in and have ideas, please pm me. We are currently trying to find a location, but kind of need to know how many people may be attending.
Can't wait to hear from you and meet some of you in person!
Everybody -- Mark your calendars! NOVA Splitcoast Stampers get together on Saturday September 27th.
More details to follow. Vanessa, Rose-Ellen thank you for offering to help. I'll PM you my phone number later today and we can chat offline. I'm so looking forward to this!!!

Hey ladies! I'm thinking of hosting a craft night at my house in Alexandria at the end of August. I have it scheduled for Tuesday the 26th if anyone is interested in coming! It would be a great time to put in any new orders for items in the SU catalog! PM me if your interested and I'll let you know the details and some other specials I'll run with it!
I'm in Richmond for the month of August and then relocating here at the end of the year...Keep me in the loop. I'm trolling for scrap/stamp stores besides the big box stores to get my bearings. I do stamp design and used to teach craft classes for a couple of Hobby Lobby stores in the midwest, so I am going to feel pretty deprived of my crafty friends and need to make new ones! Feel free to PM me.

LOL! Have a safe trip! Where in MO are you from? We have a home in Joplin and family in St Joseph area.
I am new to the area and I am looking for stamp stores and paper stores. I am in Ft Belvoir, VA
The "Paper Source" is in Olde Alexandria and Georgetown. The one in Georgetown is larger than the Alexandria store. It's not a scrapbook store, but it certainly is a paper crafter's store. Here's a website that may help you find other places http://www.maps2memories.com/VA.htm
As for a Virginia gathering, I'm considering hosting. We could do it at my home but I could only reasonably accommodate about 8 people between the kitchen and dining room w/spreadout room. I'm researching local hotels. We'd have to pay a small fee depending on the number of people who commit to attending, but I think it is doable.
thanks for the info. Let me know if you do come up with a date. I am not sure how far Leesburg is from Ft Belvoir. I am also new to Splitcoaststampers.
