Ok....I'm going if Kimber's is going. Are there any hotels close by for the out of towners?
Casa De' Kimber can probably accomadate 3-5 people if I know ahead of time. I will reserve the bed with the Seahawks sheets specially for you though!!
I might if DH can let me go. Could I ride with one of you guys and help with gas? My budget could definitely use a free bed!! We've taken a hit lately.......freezer died, microwave died, fan motor in heat pump died!

I won't be able to carpool on this trip up North. :( My sister Kathy moved to that area recently and since I hardly get to see her.........I'm going to make an extra long weekend out of it!
So if anyone from Oregon is heading up to the Washington gathering, please drop Ann a PM if you are looking for someone to carpool with.
And apparantly Kimbers mind has wandered off to la la land. She and I are going to be staying at Mark's mom's house that night. What a dork! Or....maybe I am the dork and I heard her wrong.
Anyways.....I'm sure Kimber will keep us all updated.
Can't wait to see you Portland girls again! Wish I had some spare rooms at my house to offer!! Hope to get a great turnout for this event. I had a lot of fun roadtripping down to Portland for that swap.

Ann, I'm not sure if you saw my note (somewhere!) but the Amtrak station is just 2 blocks from the venue. Could be an option. Of course, I'm not sure about the schedule...

Here's some information re the event. Thanks to staramaze for sharing her information with me.
Shoebox Swap Rules/Guidelines: Design one wonderful stamped item! At the event; you will be given a small space to set up a “stamping station”. Then you will go around the room and make all the projects for your group. You will bring ALL of your supplies in a “shoebox” or other appropriate container. This is why it is called a Shoebox Swap!
This swap is NVR. A quality card is one with multiple layers, paper designed for stamping (please no substandard quality cardstock), and at least one accessory (like ribbon, brads or buttons). Please… no Heat Embossing for this swap (unless you pre-prepare the embossed elements at home); no heat tools will be allowed!!! We will make FULL CARDS for this swap (no need to provide envelopes). Bring supplies needed for 10 projects (we will have 4 groups of 10), bring several extras of your paper elements for mistakes; especially any pieces that are to be STAMPED on. Be sure to bring ALL supplies and tools; Paper (already cut to size), Stamps, Ink, Punches, Scissors, etc., that will be needed to successfully complete your project. Please take the time to cut your paper accurately. Each participant must also bring their own adhesive. We also recommend that each participant bring a couple adhesive refills, small detail work scissors, any preferred specialty adhesives (sticky strip, glue dots), and a bone folder.
Please print your card recipe (paper, ink colors, stamps, accessories and supplies), your full Name AND your Splitcoast Name, City, State, and preferred contact information on a small piece of paper (1/4 sheet or smaller) and bring at least 10 copies. Please do not apply a label or other permanent sticker or mark to the back of your cards; this way the cards can be used.
Please bring one extra completed project… to donate to the Senior Center.
Supplies to bring: Any display boards or other items you want to share with the group, A camera to take pictures of displays, anything you want to drink other than water or coffee, Stamping supply kit and shoebox items (see shoebox details for specifics), Pen and paper for taking notes and exchanging phone numbers, something to carry your completed cards in, a few small baggies to take home any pieces for cards you are unable to complete. Please label all supplies; we can not be held responsible for any lost, damaged or missing items.
A Word about Copyright: If you do decide to bring a project you have CASEd (copied off another designer, demonstrator, or publication) please include those details and give credit to the original artist in your recipe. The cards made at this event may be used to display at workshops or other Stampin’ Up! events. The cards may also be used to inspire workshop/event make n’ takes. Do not post any photographs or scans of these cards on the Internet or your personal website without the expressed permission of the artist. You may not case/copy these cards for submissions to Stampin’ Up!, contests, or any publications. If you have any questions as to the use of the card design; please refer to the artist who created the card. I will be photographing all the cards individually and posting them to Splitcoast Stampers after the event. Each individual artist will be credited however no recipes will be posted.
Lunch: We will provide a light lunch that will be buffet style and you may take a break and eat at your leisure. We will also provide bottled water and coffee. If you would like anything else to drink, please feel free to bring it with.
Demonstrators for Stampin’ Up! or other companies: Do not bring any catalogs, promotional materials, class schedules or other solicitation type materials. You may exchange contact information with people you meet at the event; but you should not solicit your services or events directly. This event is about STAMPING not selling! Thank you!
Please mail your $15.00 payment to me or use my PayPal account. If you use PayPal, please add $1.00 for fees. If you prefer to use USPS, email me and I will send you my snailmail address. Email: [email protected].
I will post all received registrations on our thread a daily basis. Please check this thread to make sure your payment was received. Registration will close on Thursday, February 22, 2007. No exceptions.

Since it ends at 6pm, I may just drive home. It really depends on whether I need to be back for church to sing or not. I would really like to stay overnight though.

Is this open to any Washingtonians? If at all possible I would love to come, but I would have to fly in to Seattle and then find a ride from there north.
